Very cool invention!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will start by saying that I am not a major athlete. You wont find me in the gym 7 days a week. I am 45 years old, fairly healthy, but I do enjoy biking, hiking, and going for long walks. I have found that as I age, I get more and more sore in my legs and knees when I try to do these activities. When I came across this system, I just had to give it a try to see if it would help me be able to continue doing the things I love with a little less pain or soreness. Right out of the box, this thing is VERY easy to use and set up. They made this so user friendly, literally anyone would be able to use it right out of the box! You just slide the big long sleeves over your legs and zip it up. Then you plug in the connector coming from each leg into the main control box. That is really all you have to do to set it up. If you can put on a pair of pants, you can use this! Once you are all hooked up then you can start your session on the main box. As I said, this is SO user friendly. You set the level that you want (1-7) and then you set the length of time and then hit start. Its really that simple! Then the leg sleeves start to fill up with air to get the compression around your legs and then you feel it start to massage them. You can literally do this while you are kicking back watching TV, laying in bed reading a book, pretty much anywhere. For starters I used it on level 4 for 20 minutes. I wanted to start out slow just to get a feel for it. I have to say, it felt amazing on my legs! Usually when I go for a bike ride it takes 10 minutes or so for me to feel like im loosened up and then I hit my stride. After using this system, I was ready to go almost immediately. It really does get your legs warmed up and ready for exercise. I then went for about an hour long mountain bike ride on a local trail. Its kind of a medium trail, not too difficult, and not too easy. Usually this trail kicks my butt by the time im done. I get the jelly legs where its hard to stand or walk after and you feel really fatigued. When I was done, I definitely felt better than I usually do. Yeah, I could tell I went on a long bike ride, but it wasn't as rough as usual, so the system did work! I went home and then did a level 5 for 30 minutes. This thing feels so good after a workout, I cant even tell you! This next part is what really sold me on the system. Usually the next day my legs are so sore, every muscle is so stiff. After using this before and after a workout, I don't have that extreme soreness anymore. At least in my case, I can say this system does work for me, and works very well. Yeah, its a financial and a time investment. But for me, being able to keep doing the things I love to do with minimal pain, its totally worth it!

Amazing Recovery Product!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've seen the Normatec machines used by Lebron and other high performance athletes so when I had the chance to try this product out and give my honest opinion I welcomed it with open arms. The Normatec Pulse uses air compression on your legs in order to reduce soreness and promote blood circulation and rejuvenation. The day these came in I had just done a 5k so I figured it would be the perfect test. Initial setup is easy and takes less than a minute or two to get up and running. I did a 1 hr cycle while I rested on my couch and honestly it reminds me of a big blood pressure machine lol. The chambers fill up and reduce air in different phases and you can select which areas you want to target. The one thing I did notice is for me being 6'1 the legs fitting don't go all the way to my butt, so it wasn't able to target my glutes where I feel the most soreness generally from squats. After the 1 hr session my legs felt slightly different at first but where I noticed it most was in the recovery the next day. Little to no soreness at all in my legs which is very unusual for me. I feel like this is a game changer for me in the recovery aspect. I am going to use this now for every Marathon and 5k I run and it will really allow me to be a better athlete. One thing I will note is that for almost 1300 dollars they could have provided a carrying case of some kind to store the product. Once you're finished using it it is bulky and not easily put away and the cord itself is thick and cumbersome. So if there was anything I would change it would be that. All in all though I definitely recommend this product!

Beneficial, Well-built, Convenient
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For context, I’m a competitive cyclist and runner and I train up to 6 days a week with a TSS usually above 800, so I am always interesting in anything that can aid in recovery. I thought the setup would be a bit daunting, as the Pulse 2.0 *seems* complicated, but I am happy to say that the setup process was quite simple and really straight forward. There’s really just 5 items: (2) leg sleeve boot thingies, the main control unit, a charger/wall adaptor, and then the hose that connects the control unit to the booties. You can’t get the setup wrong. Plug the wall adaptor into the control unit, plug the hose attachment into the control unit, then hook up the hose to each of the boots. Done. Power it on, press start and it’s off and running…well, not running, but inflating. It only takes maybe a minute at most for the first zone to inflate and about 2-3 minutes for the entire thing to inflate. It’s definitely more of compression than a massage but I think it is effective. It has a handful of zones that it will go through that provide compression to your feet, calves, and you’re quads. It has 7 different compression levels and for me, I liked level 5 as it provided enough compression without cutting off circulation. I tried everything from a quick 20 minute session to 45 min - since you’re kind of immobile with the boots on, I aim for about 30 minutes which seems to provide some benefit. If anything, the Pulse 2.0 prompts you to elevate your legs which is something that anyone can do to help in recovery, but with the NormaTec, you’ll get the additional benefit of compression. Product quality is quite robust and it’s made of high quality materials. Two bits of feedback: 1. I wouldn’t necessarily call this a complaint, is that the boots could be slightly larger. I’m 5’9” with larger (not huge) legs, and I found them just a tiny bit cumbersome to remove after a long session, especially if your legs got slightly sweaty inside. You may find the inside of the boots to be a little sticky on the side of your legs which can make them a little harder to remove. 2. I wish it came with a carrying bag, not only for carrying to events, but also just for storage. Is it worth it? Well, it's obviously not cheap, but if you are an athlete that wants to squeak out maybe a bit more of an advantage, you may want to consider it. It's not for everyone but I do think it works. Although I already utilize cold and hot therapy for recovery such as ice baths and the hot tub/sauna, the Pulse 2.0 offers something a lot more convenient than drawing an ice bath or hitting the hot tub at the gym (for those of us who aren’t lucky enough to have a hot tub at home). Plus, you can do this in front of your TV or in bed.

A Must Have for an Active Lifestyle
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received the NormaTec Leg system about a week ago and am very impressed thus far. It has definitely helped in the recovery process. Here is a little insight into what I did prior to using it: the day before receiving it I did HIIT and legs at the gym for my morning routine, I average walking between 9-12 miles a day at work, after work was my cardio which consisted of 12 miles on a stationary bike and 7 miles on the elliptical. The next day was difficult to say the least regarding my legs, I came home from work and set up the NormaTec, which was a breeze and the App (i have iOS) was very easy to use with the bluetooth, I set it on setting 3 for 30 minutes. It also has a "focus" area to pick which for me was my knees, the next morning it felt like I had a deep massage performed on my legs, I felt loose and not much muscle pain. I used it again for 20 minutes before heading to work, did cardio again after work and used the NormaTec for 45 min at level 4. This thing definitely works as advertised, well worth the money and I plan to purchase the Arm sleeves for it as well. I would have to say it helps cut recovery time by a day to a day and a half which is great. This is a must have for Active people, athletes and professional training, if you are suffering from arthritis in your legs it is definitely going to help you as well.

Definitely not worth the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is definitely not a $900 device. Very few customization options and it requires a smartphone app. No guidance on size or ability to adjust it. Painful to use.

Posted .Hi there! We apologize that our Normatec did not suit your needs. You are able to change the time and pressure for the session, but the 2.0 does not offer as many customizable options as the PRO does. You can use the device with the app if you'd like as well. If you would like some assistance on things you can do to adjust the leg system, please reach out to our HyperCare team at customersupport@hyperice.com and we'd be happy to assist!

Horrible please do not buy
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would not recommend anyone to buy this. It is pricey and to be honest you can get a massage machine for a few hundred dollars more. I was disappointed with the massage, most of all disappointed with the product considering the price you are about to pay. DO NOT BUY!

Complete worth the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very skeptical when I saw the price but it’s worth it. The compressions feel amazing and after a run or a leg workout your legs feel fresh. The app gives you more control and the fact that the motor is recharge able means you don’t have to be stuck next to a power source and can even pack it with you

Get this!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried the Normatec at Boston Marathon expo a couple years ago and have been obsessed with owning my own system ever since. Finally pulled the trigger & could not be more happy. I look forward to using the boots after my runs and workouts, and not only is it a really incredible massage that feels so good, it truly works. I feel light and refreshed afterwards and I never get sore. Everyone who comes over wants to use them. Ten out of ten.

Actually helps your legs feel better!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Full disclosure: I am an employee of Best Buy but this is my honest review. Pros: - feels like a really good leg message that feels really good after your 10-20 min session. I liken the feeling to after having an ice bath (but without the cold!) - fits every person that has tried it, for those with very short legs it's a little goofy and bunches at the top, but still works. - it's quiet and easy to use Cons: - it's not cheap but if you were working out a lot it would be beneficial. - the cord that connects to the box can be a little cumbersome. Overall, I love the product!

zipper sucks, constantly frustrates us.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.for an expensive product, the zipper constantly gets stuck. Overall the system works well, but the zipper frustrates all my friends every time we try to use these. Like cheap jackets from back in the day that would get stuck and you can't unzip or zip it up, same problem here. Very unfortunate that the company did not do more testing and change this.
