I know, I know, a TKL for a software engineer is weird, but the primary purpose is gaming. The linear switches have been a pleasure while typing, with a decent amount of weight to the switch. I found the actuation point to be precise, and even though there is no click or tactile bump, I enjoyed using the aqua switches. The TKL Alloy Origins gives me extra space on my desk while giving me a beautiful show with bright RGB LEDs that are bright. Adorned with an aluminum frame, the Hyper X Alloy Core is both rigid and sturdy. You really get to enjoy the quality of HyperX. Detachable braided USBC cord doesn't leave you worrying about fraying. Double-shot keycaps mean you won't be wearing away any of the letters on this bad boy. Typing was a joy with aqua switches. Not a single faulty or mis click. The aqua switches also are quick to re-register a keystroke so you can be sure in high input games you won't miss a beat. Games like DOTA or LoL are easily enjoyed with the keyboard and switching back to typing is easy. The software allows you to customize the keyboard to your liking. Basically allows you to define each key individually which leads to a ton of customizability. Plus tons of customization options for the RGB show. Overall, I have been extremely happy using the HyperX Allow over the course of a couple of months. If you are looking for a dominant TKL Keyboard, I am confident to recommend the Hyper X Alloy Origins Core.

We have been trying to contact Best Buy Locally and have been put on hold many times and for more than 25 min./time. We are trying to find out the status of our order, but we have been receiving emails that say our product is on the way, but still no product. We are sadly disappointed in our purchase. However, we haven't cancelled as we are still hopeful to receiving our son's Christmas gift.

Right now its unresponsive I have troubleshooted the issue not my computer not the cable but the keyboard itself. Probably a quality control issue.

Support tried to help and they told me I had to return it. I honestly didn't return it and decided to just disable the key and live with it. 2 months have passed and now the down arrow and the m key are failing. I guess I will contact support and send my keyboard to have it checked. However for the price and brand I expected quality and longevity of duration. My friend also bought this keyboard since I recommended it to him after 5 months his w key is failing. Basically we play games all day now it's unusable. I will definitely not recommend this keyboard to my friends again. I didn't know that the quality of HyperX products was so low. I had high expectations after using HyperX mice and headphones.

It detects the keyboard, tells you theres is a firmware update for it, update fails and it asks if you want to retry. The retry fails and the software doesn't allow to get past this. Restarted my computer, tried different USB ports, and a different computer to no avail. The hardware is really nice and I really wanted it to work, but without being able to take advantage of the keyboard's features, it's not worth it. Ended up returning it, and bought a different one from Optimus Prime.
