Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the superb sound quality and comfortable design of the Cloud II Wired Gaming Headset. Many appreciate its compatibility with multiple gaming platforms and the detachable microphone. However, some users mention the headset's relatively short cable and lack of inline volume controls as drawbacks. A few also noted that the fit might be snug for some users, and that the bass could be improved.

I have been very happy with the HyperX Cloud II head set. There is great sound and they are comfortable to wear. The microphone has been perfect when communicating with others. I would definitely recommend them to others looking for a reasonably priced head set!

The Hyperx cloud II is built strong and pleasing to the eye. Has great sound with the added 7.1 USB sound card. Noise canceling mic works fantastic and the headset is very comfortable for hours of play.

Absolutely the best budget friendly, quality headphones available in my opinion. Super comfortable to wear for long hours gaming. Great sounding drivers and microphone. Would purchase again, and recommend to others. I don't particularly care for the 7.1 dongle. Not that it sounds bad, or that it isn't a nice feature to have. Quite to the contrary. I just wish the headphones came standard with a detachable non-surround 7.1 USB cable in addition so that users who don't want surround but want the USB connectivity can enjoy that without all the excessive cable length and bulk.

The highest quality headphones I have ever purchased. Especially for under $100. Amazing sound output and high def input. Perfect for FPS gaming or just a casual Discord sesh.

    Amazing Headset

I bought this headset for streaming on twitch. I'm not going to lie I was only going to purchase these because they are black and red and are wired. I tested them out in the store and mind was blown, the 7.1 audio you get out of it is incredible. I don't use these much on the PC when I do I make sure to have that 7.1 audio on when watching videos, I turn it off for music though. Just a preference. The mic sounds incredible if I choose to stream through the mic or for party chat - I have been recommending this headset to everyone I know - it's great for streaming if you are on a budget and do not want to spend $250+ for a headset with a mixer. Definitely go buy this - right now. If you are reading - stop, and go buy.

Was looking for a headset to use on my PC, PS4, and Xbox. Bought these on the recommendation of a friend and am blown away by how good these sound! Better than the Sony Wireless Gold headset and no need to recharge!

I'm not well-versed in headsets. I just want something that is comfortable and has great audio by my probably low standards. This headset meets that.

i bought these on a whim. i was running a basic stereo headset but after trying these out i simply must leave a review that they are worth the money. you clearly hear sounds that you did not hear before and you get better quality than most other headsets around the same price. you get 2 sets of ear cuffs with the headset and a mic that stays where you put it. the clarity of the headset in chat for gaming and even during Skype is amazing. i give this a 9/10 i gave it 5 stars because the product is absolutely great but i would have offered it in other colors as well or some kind of color customization for it. but that is a personal note nothing against the product Hope this does someone out there some good on choosing a headset.

My first and LAST gaming headset!

The HyperX Cloud II headphones (I will have two in total by the end of this hectic year) surely have it's ups and downs. Before you read my review in depth, please keep in mind that I am still new to the whole "PC gaming" set up by multiple steps. (meaning I am still researching PC gaming desktops, their specs, headsets and etc.) The pricing on these things are pretty lucrative, but for those who really want to be immersed in their games, movies and TV shows, then these $100+ headphones are just what you are looking for. There is a lot of research on the customers end, ( a little bit of educating yourself on how this stuff is made/works) that must be done BEFORE ever making a purchase. I emphasized this with my family members every time they want to buy any new piece of technology. It is no walk in the park but as long as you show the seller that you know a thing or 4 about what you are getting, the more the seller will respect you more as a customer and will be willing to help you on what you are really looking for. So here are my initial pros and cons of the Hyperx Cloud II gaming headphones and why I never want to spend that type of money on gaming headphones again. (Because these are just semi-perfect for me) First, let's start with the cons. The sound quality is "almost" there for me. (It's nearly perfect when listening to most songs) I can't put my finger on it, but I can barely hear some effects during some movies, games and etc. (Not sure if it is my laptop, the condition of my ears which are fine or my speakers) When it comes to comfort, these headphones are kind of on the comfortable and uncomfortable side with me. The headhpones will fit anybodies head pretty well and the headset cushions are pretty snug. As for me, the cushions feel a little too tight around my ears and I have to keep adjusting them. (Other than that, the comfort level is pretty moderate) The sound card adapter is pretty useless to me. (The headphones sound just fine without the surround sound feature) The wire (without the adapter) is way too short and can be troublesome for some peopole, who happen to have their phone in their pocket without a case. Now for the pros. The mic quality is superb. The sound quality is pretty solid. (Though improvements can be made if they were to make a Cloud III model) The noise cancelling technology is a blessing in disguise when I deal with loud pets/neighbors. The sound adapter is neat and quite innovative. (Unfortunately, I need it in order to mute my mic or adjust the volume. That is a bummer.) Lastly, even with it's cons, I was motivated to buy another pair of these. (Just wish they came in different colors of blue, purple, green and orange.) So how would I improve the product? The packaging could use some work. Taking notes from other "cheaper" gaming headsets (with a pretty decent sound quality) when it comes to having a mute option connected to the wire and etc. is a must. Perhaps if they tried a different piece of material, these could be the most comfortable headphones of all time. (Or at least the top 10 or 50) Moreover, I would push for a retractable long cord. As far as innovation goes, I would put a speaker button nozzle on one of the sides of the headphones. (Or at least attach it somewhere that still helps create the immersion/comfort zone of many gamers/customers) If I ever heard about the Hyperx Cloud III project in the works, I would push for the following simple innovations: 1. The ability to transform your headsets through detachable speakers. (A somewhat durable and small headset within a headset) (That would be pretty cool) 2. Easier but durable packaging. (It's time to innovative how products are packaged without the headache of using scissors/ripping the box to shreds) 3. Let the headphones come with some small wired headphones. (Take notes from Skullcandy) 4. A detachable wire. (push for wireless headphones, but give customers the option to connect a headphone jack. I do understand that your more expensive headphones offer this option, but why not the Hyperx Cloud II headsets?) 5. More color options. (It's optional but why not?) Hopefully, HyperX corporate receives my letter and understands where I am coming from. Furthermore, I wish them the very best in their future products/how they continue to bring joy and innovation to many customers/gamers. These are the first and LAST gaming headphones that I will ever purchase. Hyperx. Thank you but please consider my suggestions/prices in the future.

I got these after a long battle between Astro A40's and Cloud ii's. Then these went on sale for 59.99 and I got them. The 7.1 works on PS4, its a little clunky to get on but it has a noticeable difference. If you want a good deal on a quality product, get these!

    Excellent Well-Rounded Headset

Been using this for 7 months so far with no issues on both my PC and Xbox One X. Sound quality for a gaming headset is very good making it well suited for music/movies and games. Microphone sound quality is also solid, though it doesn't have in-line mic muting unless you're using the USB sound card, which is a downside if you decide to primarily use this on an Xbox One. PC side of things the USB sound card works as expected, rarely use the 7.1 virtual surround sound mode though, but it seems to do an alright job of widing the sound stage in games.

This headset is fantastic. Pros: Insanely comfortable. Like you're wearing a warm cloud wrapped gently around your head. You get two sets of earcups, one pleather and one sports fiber. Insanely comfortable both of them. Biggest con: Not many, but I wish there were some in line controls and/or a volume wheel. Or a USB connection, regardless that's nitpicking.

Great gaming headset for the masses

This is a great headset. It is very lightweight and comfortable around my head. I have worn this headset for hours upon hours without feeling any fatigue at all while getting clear audio. One thing that I do not like about the headset is the addition of the "surround sound" feature that it comes with. Sometimes I accidentally activate that feature and all the audio seems to mesh together and it gets very hard to distinguish certain noises from each other so I do not recommend using that feature with this headset. I love how you do not need to download software in order to start using this headset. It is a quick and easy plug and play type of device and that makes it super accessible and easy for me to recommend to others.

My very first headset I purchased 3 years ago was the $250 Astro A40 which I love (awesome sound quality) eventually gave it away. I went online and research headset for gaming, found these Hyper X Cloud 2 on Youtube headset review, saw that BestBuy here carries them in store. I purchased them and I have no regret. Awesome sound quality and that price tag compare to Astro A40... Awesome awesome awesome!

    Not good for console

For the price I expected a little more. These are truly made for PC. I bought these for a console and I think the sound is good and they are comfortable but the fist thing I noticed is that they lack a mute feature. They only have mute and the 7.1 surround if you plug into a PC or Mac through the usb. I just feel in today’s world of gaming it should just be a basic feature
