Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the superb sound quality and comfortable design of the Cloud II Wired Gaming Headset. Many appreciate its compatibility with multiple gaming platforms and the detachable microphone. However, some users mention the headset's relatively short cable and lack of inline volume controls as drawbacks. A few also noted that the fit might be snug for some users, and that the bass could be improved.

Not good since HP acquired HyperX

I really hate to rate 1 star to a headset I love so much that I used to tell others to get it. My HyperX Cloud 2 headset from 2019 is wearing down so I was going to rebuy the same pair. I have sadly cone to find out if you want this “good” headset that everyone writes about in the reviews them you want to research “kingston hyper cloud 2” because that’s what you are looking for. If you buy any new Cloud 2 then it will have “HP” on the left side and the headset will sound very muddy and cheap. I’ve even started to search for the kingston pairs since that was the only time these were good.

    HyperX Cloud II Pro

Cloud II Pro is alright, not the best and honestly i would recommend the hyperX cloud stinger more than the cloud pro if you are not using mic, this is basically just a cloud stinger with a better mic quality.

Good sound detail, but not immersive for FPS, Astro A10s do a better job. The mic is really good though, people have no issue hearing me and state the sound is very clear.

    Works great for a while

Running this on a Windows 10 PC with a 1600X processor. Plugged it in to the USB and, for a period between 10 minutes and 2 hours, it works great. Then it pops and stops my PC. I checked for a new driver or other problem and no help could be found. Taking them back

    Connection.

I bought this in may and just started using them because I was busy with life things. The wired male connection does not stay plugged into my controller at all. I wasted $100 because the sound goes in and out and so does my microphone so I have spotty communications. I thought it was my controller and so I tried it on multiple devices and it still doesn’t stay plugged in. I’m afraid I’m too late for a return now too.

    Pressure Points

Everything on this headset is good except for the clamping force. It has strong pressure points all around the ear cups which causes for headaches. I'm going to leave this review at 2 stars until I figure the clamping force situation.

One of the worst headsets I've ever owned. Right out of the box I was having issues. I kept (and still do on occasion) getting a crackling issue that is commonly a connection issue from my experience. After checking my computer and connections to make sure everything was correct, the issue still persists. And now the right ear just randomly stops and starts working. I will never buy HyperX products again.

After only using the headset a few times the audio crackles. Frequently has connection issues with the wired version. Too many issues for the price.

Ear cups don't reach down far enough. Mic wouldn't work with my phone (Note4) and the removable mic fell out twice. Taking it back.

The sound card is horrid. Ran into many problems trying to get the firmware updated with no luck. My mic was so quite nobody could hear me and I couldn't adjust the mic volume in any way. Talked with their customer service and they were less then helpful. Decided on returning them to buy a set of Astros. Don't waste your money on this garbage. Don't expect any miracles from their customer support either.

They Worked but The Cord Gets Twisted

Had these for about a year and a half. Had to get rid of them because the cord is twisting around itself non-stop. I tried everything and it still happened. I do not recommend at all. The earphones worked but everything else was nonsense.

This headset is of extremely poor quality. Nothing about it is sturdy and the materials feel very cheap. The sound quality is not very good and the microphone picks up small noises like the cord rubbing on stuff and people talking in the background but it sometimes won’t pick up someone talking directly into it. The only good thing I can say about it is that it works. Overall I would say this headset feels more like something in the 20-30 dollar range and not $100.

Is the audio quality issue occurring during gameplay? How do you compare the microphone quality with in-game communications or 3rd party applications?
