My son previously owned the RIG 500 and really liked them but after 5-years they no longer worked. His friends recommended this pair and he said he can really tell a difference! He can hear "people coming up behind him" on games now. Also, he said these block out noise around him. He would highly recommend even though he's only had them a few days! I would definitely recommend turning the volume down before putting these to your ears because they are pretty powerful. This is my first High(er) quality headset and I like them a lot. They don’t have sound control unless what you’re plugging into supports the attachment. That includes mute on the microphone.So that means no console will allow you adjust. No big deal though considering in game audio adjustments. They do weigh a little more than your average headset so that will take some getting used to. Overall, good headset.

After trying several others, I decided on these. While my brother tried a fully wireless option, his sounded poor...game and chat audio. They also felt cheap and uncomfortable. These are very comfortable and sound great. I decided to use the included fabric muffs for comfort and to maintain a low temperature in my ears during use. Have to plug in one cord to my controller. Nothing all the way to the wall or Xbox one using Microsoft game controller attachment.

I primarily use this for my PC when I'm gaming. The included sound card both extends the range of the cable and adds inline controls as well as giving the option of virtual 7.1 when desired. Lately I've been using this as a stereo headset for my Xbox One X and I have to say that it's really good in both applications. Being able to hear your surroundings with such clarity truly makes all the difference when playing games. Would highly recommend.
