Customers often highlight the superb sound quality and comfortable design of the Cloud II Wired Gaming Headset. Many appreciate its compatibility with multiple gaming platforms and the detachable microphone. However, some users mention the headset's relatively short cable and lack of inline volume controls as drawbacks. A few also noted that the fit might be snug for some users, and that the bass could be improved.

The best PS4 headset

Having EXTENSIVELY researched headsets, I settled on the Cloud II's for many good reasons. Even compared to the HyperX Cloud Revolvers (the more expensive pair) these come out way on top. First of all, it comes with an amplifier control box that hooks up plain and simple that offers 7.1 surround sound for your console or PC; just hooks up via USB. It even comes with interchangeable ear cups which initially have the leather pads installed but can be easily swapped out for the cloth ones (which I'm using now). Following this detail, this headset DOES NOT have mic monitoring which was a feature I was very used to having with my headset prior but having used the cloth ear cups allows me to hear myself talk so I'm not screaming due to the noise isolation quality leather cups. Overall, the headset is very comfortable, easy to set up and even looks great. 100% would recommend to anyone who's looking for an amazing quality headset for their console or even PC

After purchasing (and returning) several, more expensive headsets. I decided to give one last shot to the Hyper X Cloud pro II. Finally! I found a great product that works equally well on my PS4, XBox one, Gaming PC and tablet. The sound is great. Adequate bass and crisp highs. The virtual surround is above average, better than the RIG 800 set I brought back. The mic compression is top notch. Listeners hear my voice, not all of the ambient noise or feedback, regardless of how loud I turn them up. I love the individual mic and volume controls for PC. I only wish it worked for consoles or tablets, but that is asking a lot for less than $100. The cups are comfortable as they are or with the soft alternative sleeve. They fit great on my big head and don't pinch my large ears. Even The packaging is on par with far more expensive products. Great purchase, I would recommend them to everyone.

I got this headset off of a recommendation from my brother. I was in the market for a new headset but did not want to spend more then I needed to. I am an avid gamer so I wanted something comfortable, lightweight, breathable, and above all, had great sound. The Cloud II's have all that for just under $100. Not only that, but they look great in black/red. The leather cups look nice, but I cannot use them because of how hot they get. The plush, on the other hand, are perfect. They breath and still look good. Unfortunately, after about four months the right headphone stopped working. I contacted Kingston and immediately got a replacement set. Literally, within the week I had a new set and they are based in Cali, I am in New Jersey. So excellent product backed by an excellent customer service! What more can you need? My only complaint is that you cannot use the sound card on anything other then PC. I knew this going in so I can't take a star away for that.

I was looking for quality headset that is light weight, sturdy, and has soft padding (not made of synthetic material) in the band. The sound is great, and offers surround sound. Besides multiple great tech features they feel good on the head for long periods of time.

This is by far the best headset I have owned. The sound quality is really great for the price. They are also very lightweight and I can wear them while wearing my glasses for hours with no problem which was a problem I had with previous headsets.

I have a fat head, so unfortunately the plastic braces on the headset that holds the earmuffs to the headband crack and break overtime, would be better if those were metal, like aluminum or something. Otherwise it has fantastic sound, everything else about it is durable, and the little button that bumps it to the simulated 7.1 makes a considerable difference in sound quality in my opinion. Pairs great with dolby atmoss software, and the mic audio is great as well!

Best Headset I've owned

This headset is incredible. The sound is great, and the Virtual 7.1 is pretty cool. I use it mainly for work, but I also use it for my PS4. There's only one con for using it on Consoles and that is that there are no in-line controls like what you would get with a dedicated PS4 headset.
The detachable Mic is nice feature as are the extra included velour ear cups and the adapter for front panel pc connections if you only want to use the headset and not the inline controls. I can't say that the connector will work on every case as there's no way that Kingston could have checked every one out there, but it does appear to work on my NZXT Switch 810.
The USB controls also house the amp so it unfortunately doesn't function on anything besides a PC since the PS4 is unable to load drivers for this sort of thing. The Mute slider does however work.
Other than that, this is a stellar headset for the Price. It is very well built and doesn't feel cheap at all and has a good quality heft to it. It feels very solid and I have no no doubt this will last me a while.
If you're in the market for something in the $75-100 range this is your best bet.

Great sounds, good bass, clear no static and louder than I expected at this price point. Make sure to do the firmware update, follow the directions online. This will take any light static you may have heard before hand away. Good surround sound in games, comfy and well built. Man but Music with these are crazy loud and clean with good bass. Down side no EQ controls via USB connection but the built in sound card is worth keeping connected this way. Just adjust your Playback devices Enhancement properties. Loudness Equalization on or off for even higher volumes one way its louder in games, the other is louder or sounds better with music. With the USB this is the only adjustments these really need. If you have a good Mobo with a mid lvl sound solution or a headphone amp dac with good power even better if you don't like using the USB connection. If you ever see The Hyper X Cloud ll under 99$ buy them no questions asked and you will not regret it.

These are hands down the best headset I’ve ever tried. I got these originally in 2021, and they still work as brand new. The sound quality is very high, and they don’t bother at all after being on your head for long periods of time. The cable is also very long. The only inconvenience is that 7.1 doesn’t sound that accurate for gaming, but it’s still pretty good for listening to music and watching movies. Overall, these are the best headphones in this price range.

Awesome Quality - Too Small Build

I purchased the Hyper X based on reviews online. Not only on Best Buy, but several other sources. The build quality and feel of this headset is superb. I can also recommend this headset... provisionally.
I, unfortunately, had to return the headset as it is too small for my head. The headset did not extend far enough to prevent the ear cup from pulling up on my ears which made it painful to wear for any length of time.
Sound quality was excellent, build is solid.
So, for people that can wear the one size fits all ball caps, you probably will not have any issues with this headset. If the ball caps are too small at the largest setting... well, try a pair in store if possible to ensure they will fit properly.

Great headset, super light and comfortable to wear. Audio sounds crisp and clear. Microphone is excellent and picks up speech well, does a good job reducing background noise. The cord is the one negative, tends to get caught on things and it is heavy.

I was a bit skeptical on this purchase. I had the arctis 5 and it was time for a new pair. I am so happy with this purchase. The headset feels sturdy and comfortable. It has great noise cancellation and it doesn’t get hot when wearing it for a long period of time. The audio is amazing. The 7.1 surround sound adapter comes included and sounds amazing on my PC. I haven’t tested the mic too much, but my friends online state that it sounds better than my previous headset. What I loved the most that made me switch from Arctis, is that the cables are braided and it uses an aux input that connects to the 7.1 amp to usb. So you can easily take it off the 7.1 amp and use it on something that uses 3.5mm aux input.

These are pretty comfortable and have great sound! I bought them to use while playing Apex Legends, I really wanted something that would help me hear footsteps and locate their direction. When I first used them I could hear enemy footsteps but had no idea where the sound was coming from. I was pretty bummed out and almost returned them. Turns out the audio settings for the game had to be configured to enable positional audio. Now there's no issues, I can finally tell where sounds are coming from. Totally recommend them as an entry level gaming headset. I didn't buy them for the mic so I can't say much regarding that, sorry folks.

I have gone through 5 pairs of headsets for my kids for the XBox
Bought these as a Christmas gift, and so far they love them.
Good quality sound, mic quality also good and comfortable on the ears/head and stylish colors. I actually bought QTY 2 for 2 kids

Great with 2 flaws

Super comfortable. Extremely well made. I use it for hours at a time tutoring online.
2 flaws to be aware of:
- There is NO feedback from the mic to the earphones (even though there is a sound chip in the controller). Because the pads seal around your ears it's like talking with your fingers in your ears. (If you set Windows to do feedback you get an echo effect.)
- The mute button is a tiny slider that takes more effort than a simple button. Not convenient as a "cough" button.
To solve both of the above I bought a desktop Samson G-Track mic to use instead of the headset mic.
Sound quality is very good, though not audiophile music quality.
The mic volume control is a nice feature.

The cloud II’s are my third headset for xbox over the years and so far they are the best headset for the price. The other headsets were from turtle beach and I can say now I would get another pair of the clouds before the turtles. My only complaint is that the headset had to be broken in for a few days to sit well with my glasses where my other headsets were fine. The problem is that the clouds resting position on purchase is closed so they are very tight to begin with. I put my over a subwoofer over the night and it was much but the next day and now have no complaints. They are comfortable, easy to use, and the sound is great i can hear everything with ease.

Primarily bought for work from home. Great headset, very comfortable and great sound quality. Can’t speak really on the gaming/7:1 sound. For me, I like that the cord seems to be of higher quality, good controls on the wire to mute/volume control. The sound, mic quality is great and I can’t hear a lot of outside noise while wearing. I have a dog, kids, etc and coworkers say they can’t hear the background noise too much. I bought ones off Amazon for half the price that lasted less than a couple months, Highly recommend just getting these instead of a cheap Amazon version.

The good: these feel sturdy and well built. The metal band inspires more confidence than the plastic competition. They are comfortable for long gaming sessions, and the microphone is well designed. The USB sound card works well and the cable is long. The replacement ear cups are a nice touch.
The meh: the sound quality is ok. The bass is boomy, but the mids and high sound muddled. This is fine for gaming, but I wouldn't use them for music. The cable braiding feels nice, but you'll need to un-twist it pretty often.
The bad: the 7.1 virtual surround is a gimmick, it doesn't provide positioning. It sounds like it just adds some echo, but I was unable to locate sounds the way I can with front/rear speakers. If you play a lot of FPS/FPP games, these headphones won't give you proper positioning information.
Bottom line: if you're looking for good surround positioning, don't buy these, you'll be disappointed. But if you're looking for a well built, comfortable pair of gaming headphone with a good microphone, do get them: they are great.
