I recently added another headset to my gaming setup with the HyperX Cloud 3 Gaming Headphones and I have been impressed thus far. Spending so much time at my work/gaming station, I look specifically for comfort, performance, usability, adaptive compatibility with a little bit of style, and these headphones deliver on all fronts. The HyperX Cloud 3 headphones provide a surprising level of comfort. The memory foam ear cushions and adjustable head band gently cradle my head and ears with no undue pressure. The ear cushions completely cover my ears eliminating any discomfort or fatigue. Even after hours of wear, I am still comfortable and not overwhelmed by warmth like from other headphones that I use. The adjustable headband ensures a perfect fit, and I hardly notice I'm wearing them. The sound quality of the HyperX Cloud 3 headphones is where they truly shine. They come with 53mm drivers that deliver rich and immersive audio. They have the perfect balance between highs, mids, and lows allowing me to hear every detail with impressive clarity. The detachable mic is very flexible and sits at the perfect distance to be both out of the way and too far to be heard. Included is the built-in mute button and indicator which is a small yet incredibly useful feature. The red LED light on the detachable microphone is a clear and intuitive visual cue that lets me know when I'm muted. It's perfect for those moments when I need to communicate with people in the house (my kids and wife looking for attention) and in game teammates or video calls. I can quickly glance to make sure I'm not accidentally muted or not muted. This attention to detail makes for a life saver for those intense or stressful outbursts not wanting to be heard through the mic. These headphones are built with durability in mind. The braided cord and metal frame are a testament to durability and ensure longevity from the constant storing and usage. The braided cord is very long with a 3.5mm attachment placed about halfway allowing for free movement and quick detachment if I want to transition from pc to console in a snap. It is accompanied by a USB dongle and a USB-C to USB-A adapter allowing for cross platform compatibility. The USB dongle effortlessly harnesses the potential of the headphones' spatial audio capabilities, turning your gaming space into an auditory playground. These headphones are a true masterpiece in terms of aesthetics. The sleek and modern design is very stylish with black matte and red brushed aluminum finish and subtle HyperX branding. The attention to detail is evident, and I love the combination of form and function that the HyperX Cloud 3 headphones bring to the table. In conclusion, the HyperX Cloud 3 Gaming Headphones have added a new level of comfort and pleasure to my gaming and work. With their remarkable comfort, stylish design, innovative mute indicator, and impeccable sound quality, these headphones have earned a permanent place on my gaming desk.

    Surround sound scam

I have had hyper x cloud 2's with the 7.1 surround sound for years. It's the best headset I've ever bought, but they're worn out now and I'm having some cable issues. So I bought these to replace them. As it turns out the surround sound they market on the Cloud 3s does not work. if it does do something in a game it isn't accurate and usually it just makes everything sound worse than when it is off.

The microphone didn’t work for me and there was a constant sound that sounded like I was plugging the headphones in and out of my computer. All in all I wouldn’t try them out it’s just a waste of time and money

    Amazing Value!

I haven't even owned these for a full week, and I sincerely believe they are the very best value you can get for $100 headset. They are incredibly light on my head with very little clamping force, and thus far I've had no complaints in regards to comfort. I love that the adjustments are notched, so that I can get them exactly how I want, and have it hold that size so I don't have to guesstimate sizes with an infinite slider. The grips on each notch are pretty solid too, they don't want to seem to slide around to different sizes easily. They also just look very premium. Most other brands sell gaming headsets that, in my opinion, look incredibly cheap in design, and often cost way more than the Cloud IIIs to boot. Honestly, HyperX just got it right with the design of their headsets. I appreciate the braided cable length with its 3.5mm audio jack, and while I don't use the USB connection for audio (as I find the audio quality subpar compared to analog), I appreciate that HyperX includes an adapter to offer the user that option if they choose. Though if I had one gripe, it would be that the cable doesn't detach from the unit itself, so that an adapter wouldn't be necessary. The user could simply plug in whichever cable fit their needs. Plus if the cable wears out for whatever reason, they can just purchase a new one and swap it out, rather than needing to purchase a whole new headset. The controls are very simple, and in all honesty I appreciate that as well. Especially for a wired headset, they don't need any extra fancy features. All it has is a volume wheel for the headset itself (doesn't control Windows volume, it's independent), a mute button for the detachable mic, and...that's it. No power button, no batteries to charge, no ANC or pass-through mode, just...good headphones. The ONLY other thing I would consider complaining about, is that I wish the bass was just a BIT stronger on these. It doesn't resonate quite as much as I would like, and some low notes are practically inaudible to me. I'm aware I can adjust some frequencies using EQ settings in the HyperX software, but as far as I can tell, that requires a USB connection for audio, which I just prefer not to use. All in all, if you're looking for the best bang-for-your-buck gaming headset, these are the ones to get. Highly recommend, and well worth the purchase.

If you are expecting hyper x cloud II quality, these are not it. Since the brand was purchased by HP its gone way downhill in quality. The new cloud III are absolutely garbage. The microphone is extremely quiet, and they have no bass at all.The advertised features do not work when trying to enable in them in the Ngenuity software. Not to mention the cord is not removable.

I had the Cloud II headset years ago and it was always a solid performer. The removeable mic was handy if it ever broke, it could easily be replaced. This Cloud III headset feels a lot like the last model, but with key improvements. Comfort is perfect and long-lasting as is expected from any Cloud headset. The new mic seems to have much better sound quality than before. I have used it for gaming, as well as work conference calls and everyone was able to hear me clearly. The mic is still removeable, which is a nice touch if it ever needs to be replaced. The 1/8" plug is a tad short, but the inclusion of a USB extender cable is a great feature. It can quickly and easily be plugged into any computer with a USB-A port, and it uses plug and play audio drivers. It does not require any special software to be installed. I plugged it into my gaming PC, and it just worked. I plugged it into my work laptop, and it was detected and worked on Teams calls. Sound quality is a little bass-forward but clear. Seems like a typical "gaming" sound profile, which isn't an issue for most people. Music, games, and calls have been clear to my ears. For the money, you can't go wrong with this new Cloud III model.

Microphone is very sensitive and my friend heard the sound of my lungs as I was breathing. I had to pull it away a bit more from my face. The microphone is removable, so that's very convenient if it's not something you use or if you want to use these for music only. Sound quality: These headphones use the DTS X, so after I downloaded the Microsoft app for it, the headphones were a lot more immersive. It's not quite Dolby Atmos, but that said, the headphones experience was much better than stereo and worked almost just as well through the audio jack. Comfort: the HYPERX Cloud III's were very comfortable and light. So light, they almost feel cheap, but they have good build quality The pad on the ears and head is memory foam so you'll get a comfortable fit all around. Practicality: There is a mute button on the left ear and a volume scroll wheel on the right ear but it does not control Windows volume, just headphone volume. The included USB to audio jack cable will work for PC or your systems. Overall I was satisfied with the sound quality of these headphones and I think they did a nice job during my gaming sessions, though it left me wishing for Dolby Atmos.
