One of The Best At The Price Point

COMFORT:
These are extremely comfortable. I'm able to wear them for a long time without any issues, with or without glasses. Most of the time I forget they were on my head. Earcup size should be big enough for anyone. Earcup depth is moderate, it is angled, making it so the larger part of your ear has more room than the thinner part of your ear. With a good amount of padding before you hit the plastic exterior. The plush cushions are great. Also, replaceable if needed. Overall, no complaints here.
SOUND:
I break my headsets into four main categories. 1. Gaming Immersion (such as single player games),
2. Competitive gaming (directional audio, footsteps, other competitive focused sounds),
3. Media (how good is normal media - YouTube and movies on it.
4. Music.
I find it does a good job at 1 - 3. Acceptable for 4. Overall, the sound is good/great where I think the mass majority of people (especially at this price point) will like them a lot. Bass is good, sub bass is lacking, mids are neutral, highs are crisp but can be fatiguing and where most of the "flavor" is. Soundstage is very small (my biggest negative of the sound). Directional quality is excellent. Great imaging where I can pull apart multiple sounds with focus.
1. I'm able to get immersed in games. As bass, treble, and locational data is good.
2. Fantastic directional quality. Countless times I heard someone, turned, and there they were exactly. However, with soundstage being small they often snuck up on me as I didn't hear them until they were practically on top of me. Gun sounds are crisp and realistic sounding. While still giving me a competitive edge. What I would classify this headset to be mainly. But strikes a good balance between not being too competitive that all the other sounds suffer.
3. I was able to easily hear dialogue, even at 2x speed (which is what I watch most of my stuff at). Movies are good too. But with the way these are tuned aren't getting the best sound as sometimes bass or treble were too loud and overbearing. But in general, no complaints.
4. Preformed the worst with this. It'll work. And for the most part be fine. I classify it as good enough that it turns music into background noise. However, if you're trying to get an emotional experience these don't provide the right tuning for that.
Most of my testing was straight 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm. without the 3.5 mm to USB-C adapter. Which also has a USB-C to USB-A adapter (which also works great for other stuff). Appreciate the versatility here.
SOFTWARE:
Simple, to the point, barebones, works great. Gives you Headset volume, microphone volume, mic monitoring, DTS spatial sound toggle, Presets, and 10 band EQ. No sign in needed.
MICROPHONE:
Is removable, plugs in nicely. Has a big tip, incredibly flexible (and stays in place), When muted there is a red LED that is near the tip that isn't really in the field of vision, but is just enough that it can remind you that you are muted. That button is very crisp and satisfying and easy to find. I didn't find a significant "pop" when muting or unmuting. But did see it on the audio graph. Again, this was tested straight 3.5mm to 3.5mm.
I found my voice to sound great. It picked up the nuances of my different voices just fine and sounded essentially like I do in person. Maybe a bit flatter, with an ever so slight (and I mean slight) headset/treble tuning to it with a lack of bass. The rejection of other sounds (such as my Razer Green Switches which are LOUD) were unable to be heard. I'd easily use this without any hesitation for gaming and talking to friends (which I almost never say). It MAY even be good enough to be seen as acceptable for voice over work (non-professional but just like on YouTube or something).
RANDOM PROS/CONS:
I wish the cable itself was removeable. But like that it is braided and malleable. However, there is a mild/moderate amount of cable noise in the left earcup when moving/messing with it.
Volume wheel on right earcup is 10/10. Has min/max. Easy to adjust in very small increments. Is separate from computer/console sound. Which I like as I can crank the console/PC sound and then fine tune depending on what I'm listening to on my headset. Absolutely brilliant.
Closed back. Which means it will muffle/reduce the sound around you. Personally, I like that a lot. But if you want to know what is happening in your room then these would not be a good choice. Don't block all sounds but does reduce them.
I like that you can use them with just 3.5 mm, 3.5 mm to USB-C, or 3.5 mm to USB-C to USB-C to USB-A adapter (which works great for other things as well for a double win). Which makes them useable on every device you can think of, outside of those that require Bluetooth only as this is a wired only headset.

The headset sounds amazing, you can hear every little crunch and snap. I played helldivers and i could hear every footfall and clacking of the armor. But what thos headset does for good sound clarity it sacrfices in bass. The bass isnt horrible it just doesnt hit as hard as most other headphones do, making explosions and bass heavy instruments hit a little softer than they usually would. Apparently this isnt a misstep but a feature and honestly it reallt comes down to preference whether or not youre okay with it. The mic is good quality and sounds pretty good. The headset is weighty and looks and feels nice. My only issue is the bass, bjt besides that everhthing is perfect

One of the key factors in gaming is the audio section and I think HyperX has several good options, including this wired headset Cloud III.
In the box come the headset, the detachable microphone, a USB dongle cable to connect to the PC, a USB-C to USB-A adapter and documentation.
The headphones can be used immediately out of the box, no app download is required. They can be connected to devices such as Xbox, PS, Nintendo switch, smartphone through the 3.5mm jack connector, only in the case of connecting to a PC or Laptop is required to use the USB Dongle Cable.
The microphone is detachable and has a red LED light that turns on to indicate that it is in mute mode. The microphone quality is excellent, clear and loud in games and calls. The mute button is on the back of the left earcup. On the back of the right side is the volume wheel, there are no other buttons on the headphones.
The ear pads are of good size and offer a great comfort even in long periods of use, likewise the headband has memory foam that adapts easily, the truth is that they are quite comfortable headset without a doubt. It has a great design and are made of materials such as plastic and metal of very good quality, has a great finish and are resistant, in my case I have the headphones in color red with black and I love the combination, they look great.
Regarding the audio I can say that it fulfills its purpose and meets my expectations, although it lacks a little bass, all other sounds are reproduced clearly and the volume is more than enough, I usually do not exceed 85% of the maximum for safety. In music, videos, movies, calls and gaming, I have been very satisfied, they have a very clear and strong sound.
I think these HyperX Cloud III wired headphones are worth the price: they can be used with different devices without the need for third-party app, they are very comfortable, have great sound and an excellent detachable microphone, mute button and volume on the same headphones, is made of very good quality materials and look excellent, I can definitely recommend them.

I bought three headsets this month. This is the one I kept. I don’t use it for gaming, but to record instructional videos, and to listen to things. The mic is very realistic and the headphone parts are light and comfortable with good sound. I’m sure a $400 headset might be better, but this one is an excellent value.

Great gaming headset. I like that they include many options/ways to connect them. I.E. You can use the included minijack cable (its the 3in1 for both channels and mic) or you can use the included USB audio card (this for PC only). If you use the first option, you can connect it to your gaming consoles like switch, PS5 controller or Xbox one. You can also use this option on your PC if you already have sound card or DAC. However if not, they include a USB sound card and that will give you the option to use their "Ngenuity" software and give you access to more tuning and use DTS:X headphone surround audio for a more evolving surround sound.
The included mic is detachable and feels of great quality, there is a button on the back of the left earphone that works a as a mute switch and there is al led on the mic itself that indicates if its muted or not (I would have preferred the ability to flip the mic to mute, as the button is on the back of the left ear and you have to "feel" search for it to press it).
The ear pads/cushions are amazing, they truly fell like a cloud on your ears, and I have even wore them with glasses and I could not feel anything, if you are looking for comfort these are for you! They are closed back headphones, so they don't have the greatest open sound stage but they are good for gaming and considering how comfy they are, long gaming sessions are not going to stop me!
The only con that I could find is that the included cable that attaches to the headphones itself is not that long and also is not detachable, I would have preferred a longer and detachable one, just that. But other than that, its a great and super comfy gaming headphone!!

Nice improvements from previous gen

I have the previous generation of the HyperX Cloud headset. This current version has a handful of nice improvements. They moved the controls from a control box that’s part of the cable. It is now on the headset itself. I prefer this because, before, I had to follow the cable to find the control box. Now I can just reach either the left or right side of the headset. On the left you hve the mute button. On the right is the volume. Another new feature is the support for USB-C. It comes with an adapter. The cable itself is 3.5mm to USB-C. Then you have a USB-C to USB-A adapter. The packaging is nice as well. Everything is simple.
Now if this will be your first time getting it, here are some things I really love about how they designed it. First, the braided cables are great. It strengthens and makes the cables more durable. The microphone is detachable and bendable. If you will just use it as a headset, you can either move the microphone out of the way or remove it completely. You can use it with 3.5mm port or USB.
I plugged it in my MacMini M2 via USB-C port, and it immediately recognized it. It is quite simple to use. I am up and running in no time. I recorded some voice overs with Quicktime and the results are good. I just had to turn up the gain a little bit but overall, it is clear. I like this headset very much for gaming and productivity tasks.

I didn’t expect this headset to be as good as it is. The audio quality is clean and punchy, and I can pick up every little sound in games without anything getting muddy. What really surprised me is how comfortable it is. I can wear it for hours without any pressure on my head, which almost never happens for me. The mic sounds clear when I’m talking with friends, and it works perfectly across my consoles and PC. For the price, it feels like I got way more than I paid for.

Pros:
- Still a comfortable fit compared to the previous Cloud II, wraps around my big head quite well without showing strain on the band
- Can block out majority of noise due to the thick earpads
- Sound quality is still pretty good with the sound signature still focusing on the "gaming" frequencies (e.g. more wide treble), allowing you to hear footsteps more clearly in games where its critical to find and identify your target (tested in PUBG and Apex Legends on PC)
- Built-in cable is longer than it was on the Cloud II, which makes it useable for mobile us (tested using a Lightning-to-3.5mm dongle on an iPhone)
- Cables are braided really nicely. The version I tested was the red-black color mix
- DAC cable works well on the Nintendo Switch and PS5
- Initial price is at $100, which isn't too bad compared to other wired headsets in the same price range
Cons:
- Microphone, while better than what was on the Cloud II, still does not match the Blue-tuned mics on the Logitech PRO X Gaming Headset (wired version), quite noticeable even with the DAC that comes with the Cloud III
- NGENITY app on Windows is still clunky. Interface looks great, but most of the UI elements are non-responsive momentarily while you change settings. You NEED to install this if you wish to use the DTS Headphone:X feature. Version tested was 2.20.1.0
Overall:
- Still a great alternative to all the other wired headsets out there
- 3.5mm wired headsets are still needed with the various PC setups utilizing their own dedicated DAC/AMPs, so this Cloud III will ensure any content creators/streamers will look good on webcam while they're live

Most headset hurt the top of my head. This one just fits comfortably and doesn’t cause issues. I love the fact of noise cancellation and not having to put the mic in my mouth for people to hear me lol.

Comfortable, even when wearing glasses -- they don't press on my head too hard and they are light-weight. Audio quality is great, both hearing and mic output. The cable is long enough that it doesn't matter too much which side my PC tower is on. Very nice quality, especially for the selling price.

As a reviewer, I can confidently say the HyperX Cloud headphones stand out as one of the best all-around gaming headsets in their price range. From the moment you put them on, the plush memory foam and lightweight aluminum frame provide a level of comfort that’s hard to beat perfect for extended gaming sessions. The audio quality is equally impressive, with rich bass, detailed mids, and crisp highs that bring both games and music to life. The microphone, while detachable, holds its own with clear, reliable voice pickup and decent noise cancellation. Whether you’re using the classic Cloud II or the newer Cloud III Wireless, HyperX continues to deliver a premium experience with thoughtful features, excellent durability, and great sound making these headphones a solid recommendation for both casual and serious gamers.

Replacing my Corsair HS55 which cracked straight through one hinge/swivel area when they were not even in use. :-( So far, I really like the HyperX headphones. They're very comfortable and packaged well. The braided cable is great, and the length of the combined cables (3.5mm audio + USB) is fantastic! The volume control works smoothly and has a good range. I haven't used the microphone for anything yet, but the adjustable boom is nice and stays where I put it. For their price point, I like them a lot!

I’ve been using the HyperX Cloud III for about a month now, and I’m honestly impressed. Right out of the box, the build quality feels premium — solid frame, soft ear cushions, and a nice, clean design. It sits comfortably even during long gaming sessions, which is a big plus for me.
The sound quality is great — crisp highs, decent mids, and just enough bass to feel the action without being overwhelming. Whether I’m playing shooters or listening to music, the audio stays clear and immersive. The 53mm drivers really make a difference.
The microphone is also a highlight. It’s detachable and picks up my voice clearly without background noise, which my friends definitely appreciate during Discord chats.
Another thing I like is how versatile it is — it works perfectly on my PC and PlayStation with the included USB-C and USB-A connections. The RGB is subtle but adds a nice touch, and the iCUE software is easy to use for tweaking settings.

I have bought so many wired and wireless headsets and never been as satisfied as this one! After dealing with wireless interference causing constant dropouts (Turtle Beach) or having mic issues with people hearing me (Arctis Nova X Wireless) I finally went back to wired.
I mainly wanted to focus on comfort and was recommended the HyperX Cloud series and absolutely love them! I was a bit skeptical since I liked the non-leather/pleather earcups so they breathe more, like when I use my PC with Audio Technica headphones and swapped the earcups. For console gaming I did not want to mess with the headphone + mic + all that stuff setup.
This works great, mic comes across super clear for others, audio is honestly very good overall and just simple controls. I do wish the mic was detachable sometimes, but it is a minor gripe for the cost.
It is a versatile headset and highly recommend it for console gaming or anyone that does not want to have a separate headphone/mic setup on PC; treat your ears to the comfort of the cloud baby!

The HyperX Cloud III continues the legacy of its predecessors by offering exceptional comfort and sound quality, making it one of the best choices for gamers and audio enthusiasts alike. The memory foam ear cushions and padded headband ensure that long gaming sessions remain comfortable, with minimal fatigue even after hours of wear. The lightweight design also adds to the comfort, making it easy to forget you’re wearing a headset at all. Whether you're immersed in a gaming marathon or just listening to music, the Cloud III provides a snug fit that feels natural and unobtrusive.
In terms of audio performance, the HyperX Cloud III impresses with its clear, immersive sound. The 53mm drivers deliver rich bass, crisp highs, and well-defined mids, creating a balanced audio profile that enhances the gaming experience. The headset is especially effective at creating a sense of spatial awareness in games, making it easier to pinpoint the direction of footsteps or other in-game sounds. The noise-canceling microphone also ensures clear communication with teammates, cutting out background noise for crystal-clear voice chat, which is crucial in competitive gaming scenarios.
Durability and build quality are other areas where the HyperX Cloud III shines. The metal frame gives it a sturdy feel, and the overall construction is solid without being overly heavy. The detachable cable and microphone add to its versatility and longevity, allowing for easy replacement if needed. HyperX has also included useful in-line controls, making it easy to adjust volume or mute the microphone on the fly. Overall, the HyperX Cloud III is a top-tier gaming headset that excels in comfort, sound quality, and durability, making it a reliable choice for gamers who demand the best.
