This cannot be a $50 headset....

I have been trying numerous headsets from different manufacturers the past three months in search of the best headset for me. My previous headset was the Astro A40tr which I got with the mixamp. I love the mixamp but the headset itself leaves things to be desired. Mic quality is mediocre at best and it doesn't have a big Soundstage for positional audio cues. After reading and watching reviews online for the Hyperx Cloud Stinger I decided to give it a try. Honestly didn't expect much based off its price point but man was I wrong. Yes it is a mostly plastic build headset and I wouldn't recommend it if you are rough with your electronics. However it has sound quality and comfort that surpasses headsets four times its price. Yes in my opinion the Stinger sounds better than either the Astro A40tr or the Turtle Beach Elite Pro. I'm powering it with my Astro Mixamp TR and the 50mm drivers sound incredibly good. Easier to pinpoint gunfire and such than other headsets I have used. The microphone quality is also better than the Astro or Turtle Beach models I mentioned. It also flips up to mute so you don't have turned fumble around for a inline control.switch. Comfort wise, it is extremely light and has leatherette memory foam earpads so you can wear it for hours. This headset is a steal at its current price point and I couldn't recommend it more.

Fantastic headset for the price! The earpieces are very comfortable and can definitely drown out the surrounding noise when you've got them cranked at full volume. The intuitive microphone design is great too. Before this I had the PS4 wireless headset and sometimes my wife would come in and not know whether I was in a chat or just listening to my game, and now she knows if the mic is up, I'm good to talk, and if it's down...it's game time! Also the easy lift-to-mute function on the mic is great. The cross platform compatibility is another big plus, as I can jump from gaming on my computer to my console with no fuss at all. At $50, you can't do much better than this in terms of quality gaming headsets. Is it the best? No - and if you want to spend big bucks to get a top-of-the-line headset, then you do you! But if you're a gamer on a budget or would rather spend your money on other things (like upgrading your video card), the HyperX Cloud Stinger is a great pick!

A good headset, budget friendly and sounds decent. I purchased three in the past and theyre always comfortable and good at blocking out the outside noise. I feel as if theres a loss of bass over the years but thats the only thing i can complain about. Overall its worth every dollar.

So I did a lot of researching before buying this headwear for my boyfriend. He originally had the Razer Kraken headset but the foam pieces started coming off and he said he wanted a Logitech one next. Every review site I looked at said this was the best headset for headsets under $50 and was reviewed much better than the Logitech ones. So I ended up getting this one and it has been great! He uses them for gaming on his PC as well as on the Xbox One S. I also use them for the Xbox and the sound cancellation on them is great. The sound is clear, the bass isn’t as strong as it could be but it is still really good. This headset does not come with and adapter for the Xbox controller headset jack. Unless you have a 3.5 mm jack on your controller you will need an adapter. I haven’t had any issues in regards to using an adapter. The ear cups are really comfortable, you can wear them for a really long time. I have no complaints and would highly recommend them.

Product Review: Headphone After using the Headphone for one year, I feel well-positioned to provide a comprehensive review based on extensive daily use. Here’s a breakdown of my experience: Sound Quality The sound quality remains impressive even after a year. The headphones deliver crisp highs, balanced mids, and deep, punchy bass. They are well-suited for a wide range of music genres, providing an immersive listening experience. The soundstage is still as expansive as it was on day one, which is a testament to their build quality. Comfort Comfort is a crucial factor for long-term use, and the Headphone excels in this area. The ear cushions are made of high-quality memory foam that conforms to the shape of your ears, ensuring a snug yet comfortable fit. However, after prolonged use, the cushioning has started to show slight signs of wear, which is expected but worth noting. Despite this, the overall comfort remains satisfactory. Durability The build quality of these headphones is solid. The headband and hinges are sturdy, showing minimal signs of wear and tear. I’ve used them both indoors and outdoors, and they have withstood the occasional accidental drops and bumps without any functional issues. The materials used feel premium and have aged well over the year. Battery Life For wireless models, battery life is a significant concern. The Headphone boasts an impressive battery life, and it lives up to the claims. Even after a year, I can still get close to the advertised hours of playtime on a full charge. The charging process is quick, and I’ve experienced no degradation in battery performance. Connectivity The Bluetooth connectivity is reliable and stable. Pairing with devices is seamless, and I haven’t experienced any major connectivity issues. The range is adequate, allowing me to move around my house without losing connection. For wired use, the detachable cable is of good quality and hasn’t shown any signs of fraying or damage. Features The active noise cancellation (ANC) feature works exceptionally well, significantly reducing ambient noise. It’s perfect for commuting or when you need to focus in a noisy environment. The controls on the ear cups are intuitive and responsive, allowing for easy adjustment of volume, skipping tracks, and activating voice assistants. Conclusion Overall, the headphone has proven to be a reliable and high-performing set of headphones over the past year. The sound quality, comfort, and durability make it a worthwhile investment. Despite minor signs of wear on the ear cushions, the overall performance and features remain top-notch. I would highly recommend these headphones to anyone looking for a quality audio experience

Very nice headset, it’s nothing fancy with a bunch of buttons just a good solid headset that has great sound. The mic isn’t bad either. It’s very durable, doesn’t seem like it would break easily. It’s comfortable for wearing for hours at a time. My 7 yr. old granddaughter uses them and adjusting them they fit her just fine. And they fit my head just fine. I would definitely recommend. For 50 bucks the price is very reasonable for how they sound and feel. So if your looking for just a basic headset for gaming or for your iPad, this headset is a great deal. Hope this helps someone in making a decision!

I read a lot of reviews while I was searching for a headset to use for my xbox one. I came across this headset and I must say that they are amazing for their price. I was going to go for a pair that was made specifically for the Xbox one, but these provide everything one needs. The sounds is in stereo but is very clear and is pretty much all one needs when gaming. The mike is also very clear. I've had a great time with this headset and they hold up even after long gaming sessions. They are very comfortable and don't weight a lot, which is great when using them for an extended period of time. These are perfect for anyone that wants a nice headset without breaking the bank.

I've been using the Microsoft Xbox One headset for quite a while, which had good sound but the mic was a little short, making it difficult for my party to hear me unless I was shouting. Decided to upgrade, and after looking around, chose the Cloud Stinger over the other, more expensive (although cheaper than Turtle Beach) HyperX headsets. Sound quality is pretty good, although keep in mind it's not Bose quality (or Bose price). Bass is heavy, but not eardrum shattering. Mids and lows are clear and decently precise. I was able to hear much more than I'm used to. Mic works better than expected, people I talk to say they can hear me just fine. One issue I noticed though is that the sound and chat gets cluttered up easily. Maybe I'm just used to playing with a standard chat headset, but I like having the clear distinction between game sound and voice chat. Even after adjusting the sound controls around quite a bit, it still just seems to come in a jumbled mess at times, which can be a little distracting. That aside, I can't argue with the $50 price point (cheaper than Microsoft's headset even). And I can't iterate this enough, if you go into this buy looking for perfection, you're going to be disappointed... it's only a $50 headset. But for that money, you're getting quality in the physical product and performance that rivals $100+ headsets. If you need the better sound, spend the money. Trust me, you'll be happier. But if just need a headset to keep from waking you small children on your late-night gaming binges (like me), then you're going to be happy with this. And you won't be in the doghouse for spending the kids' college funds to get it.

After reading the reviews, watching YouTube videos I decided to pull the trigger and pick up this headset. Nice sounding headset, not overpowering with the bass, fairly lightweight, doesn't interfere when wearing glasses, others can hear me when speaking, headset cups fold flat when not using, overall a nice value for the money. If your considering a cheaper less expensive headset, (by the way I use it on Xbox One plugged in through the chat adapter) I would definitely consider picking this up. I have picked up quite a few $50 and under headset's and I would say this is the best one overall that I have decided to keep.

I had been using a pair of Turtle Beach Recon 50s prior to these. The mic went out on the TB set so I went shopping. All my friends use HyperX headsets so when I saw these for $50 I grabbed them. Wow. They are so much more comfortable than my old set. The padding at the top is really thick and very comfortable. The ear cups have great padding. When I wear my glasses they're very comfortable. My only complaint would be they don't offer the kind of head rattling bass I'd like to see. I use them with my Xbox One so it may not even be the headset. The build quality is really solid. They feel and look super high quality.

I saw these drop on the shelves for a pretty good price, so I figured I'd give them a shot. To my surprise, I didn't return them. I'm pleased with the quality and durability. The only Con I have is the comfort factor. Prolonged use causes a slight rawness on my ears, because they do not have a thick enough pad that's over the speakers. Other than that, the sound quality is great. I like putting the microphone vertical for muting. I especially like the volume control that's adjustable on the bottom of the right earphone. Audio: 9/10 Durability: 9/10 Comfort: 7/10 Functionality: 9/10 I'd definitely recommend

This is by far the best headset I've ever used. The build quality is top notch. The 5.1 surround sound is true surround sound so it sounds better than headsets with 7.1 virtual surround sound. And because of the memory foam in the ear cushions and how lightweight they are you can use these for long periods of time without your head or ears hurting. There is no need to break the bank on a headset while these are available. You'll be blown away. I personally don't think I'll ever get another brand of headphones and I'll be supporting this company until the end. Thanks for reading!

I read many reviews before purchasing. The sound is great and they surround your ears and keep out the outside noises. I use them with my PS4 and have been playing H1Z1 online, everyone says I sound good. I love that you can flip up the mic to mute so I can get my snack on and the rest of the team doesn’t have to hear me chewing. They are quite sturdy and even the cord is heavy duty. I still got the 2 year extended warranty for $5....cuz you never know with headphones, but I think these will last.

I have purchased many headsets, and most between the 29 to 55 range are just poor quality. Good headset with comfortable over the ear pieces. Sound and volume is very good. My only quirk with the headset is the mic/boom. I wish it had more flexibility for positioning the mic. Its only up or down and no side to side positioning. However, if you look at the quality you do get, which is better than most at this price point and range, it's at the top of the list. I would recommend purchasing.

The HyperX Stinger is one of the best budget headsets on the market. The headset is extremely comfortable for long periods of play, fits over the ears comfortably, and accommodates large head diameters which I found to be an issue with other more expensive headsets. The stereo sound is crisp and clear and the microphone gets the job done. I use this headset daily for my PS4 and PC and would highly recommended them to anyone interested in an affordable versatile headset.
