Upgraded from my old HyperX mic and this one is great.

Awesome mic, the sound direction control makes it great for a noisy household.

The mic quality is good however if it came with the mic arm it would be so much better as I can keep hearing my clicking

This review is on a HyperX - QuadCast 2 S Wired Multi-Pattern USB Condenser Microphone. The build quality is solid. Nothing feels cheap or that it could be damaged. I love the design. It has a nice studio quality look. It has a shock mount to help absorb some of those thumps that normal mics could get. It has everthing I need in a mic. Just tap it once on the top and it will mute the mic. When it is muted the lights turn off. Tap again to unmute it and the lights turn back on. It has a dial on the front to easily control the volume. The mic picks up really well. It can be changed to listen from all around, front and back, side to side or what's called Cardioid that is meant for podcasts, streaming, voiceovers and instruments. I had an issue with the mic on my laptop. My boss said he couldn't hear me when using Microsoft Teams. Once I got this, he said I was coming in loud and clear. The software is easy to use and controls all of its features. The app has a nice multicolor active picture just like you are looking at the mic with the colors. There are 8 built in light patterns to choose from. The default is wave that you can control the angle and speed of the colors. I would buy this again.

The touch sensitive mute button doesn't hardly work. I have to push it multiple times to get it to activate. I ended up switching back to the QuadCast S.

Great mic in general was hoping it would work with Mac OS to adjust settings like Rgb color The mic works well with Mac just no adjustments from Mac OS it’s a windows version

Was a great microphone for the first month and a half. Then suddenly, it just started to produce very loud static today while I was playing Counter Strike. At first I thought it was a CS bug but then after testing the mic, I saw that the issue was persisting across all applications. I tried reinstalling Ingenuity and firmware, updated Windows, tried the mic with another laptop, I put my phone on airplane mode, unplugged devices from my computer and turned off all other devices in the room, tried smacking the mic, nothing worked, issue persisted. Will be returning this, thankfully I still have enough time to do that thanks to the holiday return policy.

After slightly over 90 days it started producing a static hiss that makes it unusable. HyperX's customer support tried to blame it on the computer even though it persisted on multiple machines and the best they could do was have me send it while they made sure they could replicate the issue and if they could replace it

The HyperX QuadCast 2S is a fantastic mic geared toward gamers and content creators, but full featured enough for almost anybody. This is a USB-C mic that captures audio in 32-bit/192 khz, features 4 selectable polar patterns, and comes with a shock mount/stand. It also features a customizable array of rgb lights that can be customized in the HyperX app. In my experience, this mic captures fantastic audio. I use it mostly for Teams/Skype calls, and I have gotten more than a few compliments on my audio quality. You can select between 4 different polar patterns depending on what you will be using the mic for. They are cardioid, omni directional, bi-directional, and stereo. Switching between modes is relatively easy using the multi-function knob at the front of the mic. This knob is also used for increasing gain or monitor/headphone volume. The mic also features an easy to use tap-to-mute button at the top. This is very convenient and much quicker than hitting the mute button in Teams for me. Overall I am super satisfied with this mic. It offers great sound quality, ease of use, and great customization options with the RGB lights. I highly recommend this mic for anyone in the market for a mic, especially gamers and content creators.

The HyperX Quadcast 2 S microphone is a quality microphone that is great for anyone wanting to upgrade their microphone setup. It’s well built, durable and very aesthetically pleasing. My son and I have been using this for our gaming setup and it is definitely a big step up from the standard headset microphone. This microphone has great sound production and has four settings to choose from based on your needs. The RGB function looks great and gives it that extra pop of color. The Ngenuity software is great as well. It allows you to further customize the Quadcast 2 and works very well. Another great feature I like is the tap to mute function. Just give it a tap and you’ll be muted. Also, the included detachable shock mount works well. Helps keep any unwanted thumps from going through the microphone. It is a good out of the box option but I’d recommend getting the boom arm if you can. Overall, the Quadcast 2 S is an excellent option whether you’re a gamer, podcaster, streamer or professional. I strongly recommend this microphone!

Have had the mic for about a month and half now and it is just a paperweight now. only thing being picked up is deafening static. stay clear from hyper x poorly made products and even worse customer support. no fix to this issue which seems to be a recurring problem for the past 5 years with their quadcast line.
