Microphone provides quality audio and easy to use. The USB port is USB-C to conform with new cables. The mute button is easy to use and has a visual confirmation as the lights turn off when muted. Works well for conference calls to minimize echos, background sounds and provide higher quality than webcams. Base still transfers solid desk contacts but overall typing is reduced. Pair it with free audio software to truly bring this microphone to life and improve the quality.

Pros: works exactly as advertised, nice look, easy setup, great sound, versatility, The ability to adjust recording directions without having to redirect the mic is nice (hence the quad cast for the four options) super easy gain adjustment for quick changes on the fly. The suspension cage really dampens sound transfer from desk (mine is the hyper X boom clamped to the desk, so I am not sure how it is on the desk stand). I love this mic the sound quality as far as I can tell is great (I am not a pro sound guy so take that with a grain of salt) Cons, really the only negative I have is sometimes it doesn't power up when I start my computer and I have to unplug it and plug it back in, which is easy to do, unplug the usb-c from the mic head and plug it back in only takes 3 seconds. It is a minimal inconvenience except I know the more often you plug and unplug something the more the usb port or cable wears.

The HyperX Quadcast S is an outstanding microphone. I am not a gamer, I just needed a really good microphone for dictating in Word and also to hopefully use to produce a podcast. A couple of years ago I purchased a Blue Yeti, and it worked well at the time I was using it with my MacBook Pro and my Yamaha keyboard and that was fine. I ended up putting it away and not using it anymore because I really didn't have the time. So, for two years it basically stayed in its case and storage. Fast forward two years and I took it back out a few weeks ago and I could not get it to work with my MacBook anymore. Nothing I tried worked it was just crappy recording quality. Bottom line is that they weren't keeping up with the software updates and it was no longer compatible it wouldn't work with Big Sur. So, I went looking for another microphone and I was not looking for the hyper X, I was looking for something else entirely. I came to the Best Buy website to buy something else, saw the hyper X saw and all the tremendous reviews, so I rolled the dice and I'm glad I did. Straight out of the box absolutely zero setup. I plugged it in, made a couple of trial recordings in audacity, made a couple of trial recordings in GarageBand, dictated a couple of documents to Word and everything worked perfectly right out of the box, zero effort on my part. If you want a great microphone, it doesn't matter if you're a gamer or not this is a great USB microphone. It’s a little more than the Blue mics, but there’s a reason for that. You get what you pay for. I dictated this review into a Word Doc using the mic and only had to make one correction.

This is a great mic. It is very sensitive, so a separate noise filter is recommended if you have a clicky mechanical keyboard. I use this mic with the NVIDIA broadcast software that utilizes my 2080 Ti to filter out noise. I highly recommend using this with NVIDIA broadcast if you have a 20XX or 30XX graphics card. So far I have not had any complaints from anyone on the other end of my game/video chats. The RGB isn't as configurable as I had hoped, but it's a nice feature to blend with the RGBs in my PC. It should be noted that the lights can only be configured for either live or mute, not both. So, either it lights up when the mic is live, or it lights up when muted. I would like to have one color setting when live and another when muted, but for now I'll settle for it being lot up while live and off while muted. There are only two separate LED sections, one on top and one on bottom, which limits RGB controls. Despite the limitations of the RGB controls, it does have a nice look and seems to fade/transition very smoothly. Once you configure it, you can save the setting to the mic so you don't have to launch the HyperX software at startup every time or install the HyperX software on all devices you plan to use this with. To summarize, if you're looking for a mic with great sound quality, this one will definitely do the trick. And if you're a streamer looking for something to add a little more flare to your stream, this one has some decent RGB support, but there are some others out there with more RGB features.

Coming from a Blue Yeti mic, this one is significantly higher quality. You can use the base that came with it, or connect it to an arm using an adapter that it comes with

Good microphone so far just need the boom arm and when you speak, it sounds very clear. It does pick up some background noise, but it is worth it and you will need to buy an extra pair of headphones doesn’t need to be expensive but yeah 

Hands down the best mic I’ve used. Sure there’s better ones out there but if you’re a casual gamer and streamer, this guy is definitely the way to go. It goes amazing with my rgb setup and the sound quality is amazing. Don’t listen to the reviews that say there’s better ones out there because there’s of course better ones but this one is amazing, easy to use, and customizable. Def recommended

This mix is a huge upgrade from the integrated microphone in my external camera. This is podcast quality sound with the ability to switch pickup modes depending on if you’re alone or with others. Plus it just looks cool with the lights, which also serve a purpose to let you know when it’s on vs. muted.

I would say that this mic is great for the price there are other mic you can buy for way more money but I think this mic is great make your voice mad clear.

Great audio quality and is pretty easy to use. My brother bought this for his new gaming setup and it works great. The RGB is a nice little tough too. It is quite expensive though I do have to say.

Best mic for the price! I use this daily for streaming while I was in-between jobs. Sound quality is amazing. Plug and play. A lot of my gaming buddies also have it and love it.

Absolutely awesome plug and play results. I didn't download any additional software. I purchased this to upgrade my audio input for recording in OBS and it was easier than expected. Well worth the price. Construction and quality is fantastic, too.

I loved this mic. It was super easy to use and changing the colors was easy. It looked super aesthetic and the mic quality was good. I liked the volume settings and being able to change the performance. Also the mute button is very nice. Being able to quickly mute when needed.

I like the sound quality of the mic so much since I like to game alot I can use my mic to talk with friends on games, and they can hear me so much clearer. This has made my gaming experience so much better and funner ever since I bought it

Great mic! I am so glad I went with this mic instead of the Blue Yeti. The RGB lighting is beautiful and I love that the lighting turns off when you are muted. I don't have to worry about double checking if I am muted or have remembered to unmute with this feature. One thing I wanted to note was that there is a visible dark spot in the front center of the mic through the RGB. Reddit says that this is just visible internal components of the mic. It's more/less noticeable depending on the RGB color that is displayed. It sucks that it is visible through the front of the mic, and not the backside which is completely unseen anyways. It isn't too bad, but I did not see any reviews mentioning this when I was researching mics so I thought it would be worth mentioning.

This mic was easy to setup, simply plug in both ends of the USB. I have gotten plenty of feedback from my community about how clear I sound now. I have never used a mic for chat that wasn't connected to a headset. The lack of 5 stars comes down the software not the mic itself. The software really only gives the user the ability to adjust RGB settings. The software is intuitive, it just lacks microphone tuning features that I fortunately was able to make up for this with other software (Sonar). The dials and knobs on the mic itself are the only real adjustments for sound you can make without other software. One knob/dial is for sensitivity and the other is for directional pickup adjustment as this mic allows for 360 pickup, one-way pickup and two-way pickup(this would be used for a face to face interview style.) I would recommend this mic especially due to price.

Very good mic for the cost. I like the RGB and the versatility of the mic to be a desk sitter or mounted to a boom stand. Also the tap to mute on the top of the mic is very good. Set up was very easy.

Worth the money imo. Plug and play, get the windows app from the brands site for all the options. It is super easy to use. Tap the top to mute and unmute. Volume control on the bottom of the mic. You can adjust it so it pretty much only picks up your voice. It looks great and works even better.
