This mic has been my go-to for the past four years of work-from-home life. Countless Zoom calls, Teams meetings, and even the occasional late-night rant – the QuadCast S handled it all like a champ. What I liked: * Crystal-Clear Audio: Let's be real, that's what matters most. This mic delivered consistently clean sound, no muffled voices or weird background noise. My colleagues always heard me loud and clear. * Feature-Rich: The different polar patterns were handy, and I loved the tap-to-mute. * Slick Design: Okay, I'll admit it, the RGB lighting was kinda cool. Not essential, but it added some flair to my desk setup. The Downside: * Four Years and Out: Here's the kicker. After four years of faithful service, the thing just died. LEDs went dark, computer wouldn't recognize it. Poof. Had to grab a new one, which was a bit of a gut punch. * Warranty Woes: Look, I get it, a year warranty is pretty standard these days. So kudos to HyperX for offering two years. But still, it stings a bit when a premium mic gives up the ghost after just four years. Bottom Line: The QuadCast S was a solid workhorse while it lasted. Great sound, handy features, and a bit of visual pizzazz. But that limited lifespan is a definite drawback. If you're okay with potentially replacing it sooner than you'd like, it's a good option.

not sure what happened but after i purchased this my game sound dropped by like 60% and have not been able to get it back. Returned the Mic for a Logitech Pro X Wireless and the Game sound on those is at about 30% when in Game and settings is at 100%

Don't buy this garbage. Get a mic from a reputable company who makes mics. I only had a 2 week period to return this and Best Buy will not take it back. i was trying to get it to stop echoing while on calls with online programs. Now I have to figure out how to get sound gate software to work to stop the bleed through. The only time it doe snot echo to other users is when i have it on mute. This mic is garbage. Do not buy it if you are using speakers, it's junk. The software does nothing too, it's junk too

Plug and play is non existent need to use an external source for it to sound good and the Hyper X Ngenuity did not really help with anything other than volume

Not great that good i was hoping this mic would have better voice isolation but it picks up everything in my room.

My microphone stopped working and is no longer recognized by windows. It doesn't matter if you update NGENUITY or the drivers. I have not found a fix and HyperX has no official update on the problem. There a number of people on forums who have the same issue. Beware buying anything from this company.

Everyone really hyped up this microphone to me after my Yeti died on me, so naturally I went and bought one in late June 2022. Here I am December 2022 and after loads of troubleshooting not only does it go through periods of time where it refuses to pick me up unless I'm shouting but it also now upon turning on my computer will not auto connect anymore. The RGB will not be on and unless I unplug it and plug it back in (sometimes it works) then I do not have a microphone. Very frustrated that I am having all of these problems after only having for about 6 months as a streamer and as I'm in a long distance relationship and rely on the tech. I was so over the moon when I first purchased that I bought my room mate and my fiancé one as well and they also have had little problems here and there. That being said majority of the time it works properly and sounds amazing.... I just wish it was consistent.

Broke after 3 months. Better purchase protection plan!

Stopped working the day after the return period ended. Not compatible with Microsoft Teams.

its a toy and they wouldn't refund within the 30 day window i suggest just buying high quality when it comes to audio Either Logitech/Shure/hyper x base headset mics or others compared for the price this item doesn't fit its complete price (wouldn't suggest razer in general)

Since I got it is been giving me problems! I thought it was a windows issue but I gave up! I’m thinking on getting a new USB but i don’t know if it’s worth trying that. I won’t even recommend this mic at all.

Within a month literally a day before it became a month of purchase the audio in my mic started to make a tap noise

Not very sturdy as the bands broke within a month and pieces snapped as we were trying to put it together

I cannot recommend this mic. I used it for about a week and it would cut off at least 3-4 times a day.

It cuts off every 15 minutes or so... its not worth 172.00 at all

Pieces were falling of it and it was hard to use. So I took it back.

It's pretty but the microphone cuts out like every 5 seconds, it's terrible. I tried every thing I could to fix the audio and settings but nope. Nothing works. I wish I could return it or exchange it for one that worked.
