Customers are positive about the QuadCast's sound quality, ease of use, and mute button, with many praising its performance and convenient features. They also appreciate the included pop filter and shock mount, though some find the microphone's size and the persistent red LED light to be drawbacks. A few users reported issues with the USB port. Overall, the positive feedback on sound quality and ease of use outweighs the concerns about size and the LED.

I picked this mic up about a week ago and I've been enjoying it for the most part. I am using it predominantly for online school courses and for playing video games. The quality of the mic is top notch for being a USB mic. The only mics that would, in my mind, sound better than this one would be something that plugs into a sound board or other sound equipment. But, for a plug and play, it's all you could ask for. I love the red light that comes on when you are "live" and how it goes black when you are "dark". It's more helpful than trying to remember if you pushed the right button or not and having everyone then yell over the call or game that you are muted.
The only critiques that I have for this would be 1) the build quality and 2) the placement of the wire ports coming out the back. First, the build quality leaves some to be desired. Don't get me wrong, this is still a solid mic option. The thing I have an issue with the most would be the gain/fade knob at the bottom of the mic. It is free spinning. The reason this is an issue for me is that any slight bump of the bottom of the mic, this will turn that knob which can throw your sound out of whack. If the knob clicked into place and allowed you to still turn it but then click something to lock it into place, it would be perfect. I get why they did it so you can tweak it ever so slightly to find the "perfect point" but if you were that concerned with sound, you would just get a $400 mic instead. Second, the placement of the ports for the headphones, polar pattern selector and the power supply are on the back of the mic. Again, I get why they did this so the front of the mic is aesthetically pleasing; however, this makes it very awkward to a) mount on a mic arm or b) change settings should you need to.
Overall, this is a great mic still and I would recommend it for someone looking for a good quality mic for instant use.

Sound is great on this, with four mic pickups. Cardiod and stereo work best for podcasts and video narration. A little low on volume; have to turn volume setting up high. Good range and little popping due to windscreen. Some might find red lit mic distracting but I think it looks cool and you know IMMEDIATELY if the mic is on. Mute is extremely easy, you just tap the top lightly and red light goes out. Reliability on this seems better than the blue competition.

The sound on this thing is crisp and clear - it admittedly still picks up my keyboard but that's a bit unavoidable with my at home setup and not a fault of the microphone. Gain is super easy to adjust on the fly, and the lights on/off mute tap on the top is a fast, useful and instant indicator that has come in so much handy. The construction is sturdy and cable stays secure. Would absolutely recommend it for any budding gamer or streamer looking to upgrade their setup.

Best USB microphone on the market

This is the best USB microphone I've used. Close competitors are the Audio Technica AT2020 USB+ and the Rode NT-USB. However, the fact that the HyperX Quadcast comes with a built-in pop filter and design of this is both very study and lighter in weight, this is what I aim for as a streamer. I'd go with this if you're looking for a USB microphone. Otherwise just go with an XLR option. Though that route is more costly, but you get what you pay for.

Get QuadCast S if the persistent LED annoys you

This is by far an excellent replacement for my Seiren X. I returned my Razer mic and replaced it with this one. For $140, you get a shock mount, a mic with multiple sound patterns with a built-in pop filter. Although, I'd still use a pop filter in conjunction with this microphone. The built-in pop filter is okay but not that great at muting out plosives.
The ONLY drawback for this microphone is that when it's active, there is no way to turn off the bright red LED. It's set at an angle for me on my desk but when it's on, it's hard for me not to ignore it in my peripheral vision. It's so annoying.
Then I found out the QuadCast S is only $20 more AND you have the option to make the mute function have the LED and the active function to have no LED. Look, I like LEDs like the next person but if you're trying to stream a game and the mic is nearby your face, you can't help but see the bright red glow in your peripheral vision which is so distracting.
I ended up returning this and ordering the QuadCast S to be shipped to me. Yes, the LED on when active with no other way to turn it off unless you want to be muted is such an annoying thing. It should've at least been an option for us. Other than that, the audio is top notch.

I've had this mic for about a month now. Mainly for use with streaming but also for general voice chat and while at work. The on the fly adjustable gain knob is extremely useful as well as the touch sensitive mute. Knowing when your broadcasting is a breeze with the red LED light letting you know. Overall the voice quality and features of the mic make it a must buy at the price point.

The HyperX-Quadcast is substantially better than using the computer built in microphone. It also works much better than a headset. The Polar pattern options are easy to set and work well to use the sound source wanted for broadcast. It works great for conference calls and the mute function is more easily activated or removed than clicking the mute function on the screen. Plus, it just looks cool.

Every mic I looked at sounded amazing when YouTubers used it but when I get them they sound bretty bad. Even though the YouTubers weren't doing any after effects or whatever. This mic though, sounds amazing right out of the box. My friends for the first time told me I sounded amazing so I'm happy. It's worth it. It's also got a built in shock mount so that saves an extra buy. Get one.

This is an amazing yet simple usb plug mic that I think is fully worth the price. I use it to stream and it plugged right and instantly starting working. It has good clarity when you speak and it picks your voice up from quite a distance away. The design is aesthetically pleasing as well as functional!

This mic has been so easy to use. I had the the blue yeti mic before and it lasted a while but I decided to try this one instead and I’m glad I did. I haven’t had any issues with it. You can mute and unmute with a tap on the mic. It’s very easy to use while in a team gaming environment and lights up when it is on so you know when it’s recording. Great product!

Was out of stock for a while, but finally got a chance to purchase this! Was extremely excited when I received this. I've received many compliments on Discord that my voice was extremely crisp and clear. Love how it looks and the touch less mute mic button. Yes, this mic has a touch less mute button. Highly recommended!

This microphone has a lot of tools to get the starter streamer set up. It has an ease of using the controls to control the sound of the mic while not having to go deep into settings to figure out how to fix it. also the ability to hear yourself as you're talking works wonderful for making sure your sound sounds good

I have tried the seiren x, the yeti nano and and the normal yeti, and all dont sound as good to me as this one, it picks up well, easy to use and sound as i have said alot, really good! all of my viewers and friends(i use it as my normal chat mic for discord) say it sounds way better than my old headset that had a pretty good mic, only thing now is to find a good pair of headphones to put into it, i do wish it had a built in volume wheel cuz if you plug directly into it everything is superrr loud, even on like... volume at 8

This was the first quality mic stand-alone mic that i have bought. Most of the mics that i use for gaming just come from the headset. When my headset mic was starting to go out i decided to splurge and get this one. My voice comes out clear and loud for my friends on discord and teamspeak and the setup is really easy. The tap to mute is especially a lifesaver since i have a lot of people coming into the office and asking stuff. One of the problems that some people not knowledgeable enough is the 4 modes that it has and how to correctly use them. Other than that great product for a decent chunk of change

While appealing to the eyes, the Quadcast does back up the image with quality. Not feeling too heavy duty is a small drawback but the experience overall with the various recording settings makes up for it. You will need to adjust thing's to accommodate your preferences, but using a equalizer program will also suffice.
Red light does bring a radio studio vibe, and the top of the microphone does have a touch response for instant muting. Using this often for my stream and have received a few compliments from my audience noting the improved audio.

This mic sounds clear, is easy to setup, looks good and feels sturdy. The two biggest complains i have with this purchase have nothing to do with the product. My MAIN gripe is that i was not allowed to warranty this item, while i dont think i will need it, i normally warranty items over a certain value and am more then a little disappointed about this. So overall this is a great product but you cant add protection to it. So if thats a selling point op for one of the other fine usb mics, maybe a g-track pro or a yeti?
