The original source material wasn't great so the 4k version suffered and magnified the visal flaws already present. Stick with the regular Blu Ray in my opinion.

Love the movie and it was delivered sooner than expected but it didn’t come with the digital copy.

Underrated role from Will Smith. I enjoyed this films action and story.

lacks answers to why more questions than answers couldve used a movie to set this up

[Since I Am Legend was reformatted in 4k after several years I am only going to give my opinion about the 4K graphics] I promise that you will definitely not regret buying, or re-purchasing this movie in 4k, because the graphics are absolutely amazing! I've been selling off my 1,000 Movie Blu-Ray collection and I'm now starting to replace those movies with 4K movies so, now I finally decided to pull the trigger and get the I Am Legend movie in 4k. I already own about 95% of all 4K movies and I can obviously only buy new 4k movies when they're released so, I decided it would be the perfect time to finally purchase this movie. To be honest I was skeptical of buying this movie because it was made in 2007 and it was reformatted back in 2016 as one of the first 4K movies, but I was definitely hoping for the best possible graphics but expecting a lot of static. Since Best Buy is now selling the movie for $19.99 I knew the time was now that I needed to purchase this movie. I really hope that you have an HDR TV because if you do then you will definitely see beautiful Vivid colors throughout the entire movie and the graphics only get better as the movie goes on.

i wish it was maybe 15 or 20 minutes longer but it made its point. thus is one of the movies where all the action is in the trailer. so dont see it expecting die hard. will smith gives one of the best performances of the year in this new york huanting epic. his dog sam does pretty good too even though they gave away sams 'moment' in the trailer. and what was wrong with the deleted scenes they had in the alternate version. anyway i liked both endings but i liked the normal ending better. i saw a youtube video that reviewed this movie and it made no scince. this guy said the special effects where awful and it was too over ther top and intense and that will smith had no reason to hate god. first of all, the CG was near perfect, it wasnt too intense at all, and anyone would hate god after a national tragedy like that happened. anyway, the scenes with no action(about 70% of the movie) where still interesting. and the 3 of 4 action scenes it had where great. they had just the right amount of intensety and scares. theres 2 great action sequences here. when he was looking for sam in the building-sure it might not have that much action in that scene but it built up suspense. and when will smith stabbed himself and tried to get away from the zombie dogs-that was good. the other 2 big scenes(the loading dock) and (his house) where pretty well done too. just the silence of the movie is good. will smith(robert neville) isnt your tipycal action hero and for good reason, it makes i am legend so much more believeable. thats why hes limping half the movie. the blu-ray version of this is the same as any other blu-ray movie, and thats a good thing.

I didn't get a chance to see this movie in theaters, so I asked around a bit to see if it was worth owning on Blu Ray. I got the thumbs up to get this movie from many people and I was not let down by the purchase. This film offers the original theatrical version as well as an alternate ending. Now most of the movie is exact, but there are a few alterations throughout the movie which makes the original and alternate version a bit different. Normally when there's an alternate ending in movies, it only happens in the end. This one gives you subtle clues as to how the two are different...keep an eye out on that. Also, there's actually a lot of bonus features in the film as well. I've had the movie since they released it and I'm still checking out features I haven't quite seen yet. One of the best Blu Ray titles available so far.

Throughout the film, Will Smith does an excellent job acting. He makes it so that we actually care about him as a character. The set location was done great. It looked just like the city dropped everything they were doing and just got up and left, which was basically the point. The supposed mutants looked OK. They weren't taken overboard and we could establish that they were once civilized humans by the way they look. However, after a while, they just became freaks. Somehow the transformation gave them more abilities than Olympic athletes. The plot started to get lame when his world seems hopeless. Just as the average movie cliche does every time, the babe shows up in the knick of time and saves him at the last possible second... yawn - seen it too much before. The plot got sort of twisted at the end. When we find that the "head" mutant was just after another mutant he cared about, they lose their whole 'nothing but instincts' feel. Anyway, it was a fair tribute to the original novel but didn't quite hit the best shot. If you want to really understand this film, or what it tried to be, then watch 'The Omega Man.' After seeing that film, this one isn't as bad as I originally thought, it just took a creative direction that may seem unusual or strange to some. This movie also goes to show that you don't need to cast living people to make the movie good. To me, the Manikins were perfect and were more funny by themselves than some comedians i've seen.

There were 6 billion people on the earth before the virus hit. 90% of mankind was not immune, so they died. Of the 600 million that was immune, 12 million were unaffected. The rest of the 588 million became flesh-hungry mutants. This film is set 3 years after the infection hit, Robert Neville (Will Smith) is the only person still surviving. Robert is left in the empty and desolate New York City. But he is not just running around doing whatever 24/7 because by night, the mutants cannot be burned by the daylight. Robert isn't just surviving just to survive, he is working on the cure for the virus. This is a film you will be remembering years from now, nitpicking for faults is unthinkable. I was still kind of hungry to find out what happened before and after the film though, the animated comics'll go into detail a little about what was going on on other parts of the planet, but they don't compare to a sequal

When my girlfriend and I saw this in the theater, we both knew we couldn't wait to take it home! Not to say that I haven't enjoyed Smith's previous works, but I Am Legend is even better! The storyline is very true to the book, and while it certainly isn't what I think will be for everyone, Smith definately draws you in with a very real and human take on dealing with his situation. The special effects are great and the controversial ending is definately that- we've had many an arguement spark in our apartment as to which ending is better! You even have the option to watch it as a different side to the movie! I Am Legend is arguably Smith's greatest movie to date. He has certainly grown as an actor from his beginnings in Men In Black and Wild Wild West. This, along with I, Robot and The Pursuit Of Happiness, are genuine performances that are on my list of favorites for sure!

I like the way this movie portrays how dangerous it can be in a world where the neglience of some scientists can lead to Global disaster. The storyline is believable in all of its content. Most of those living dead or zombie type movies portray monsters that are weak and have limited mobility. This one, however, portrays some infected people and animals as rabid and maniacal with intelligence, strength, speed, and agility along with a hunger for human flesh. This movie reminds me of two other earlier films from the past called; The Omega Man (Charlton Heston); and The Last Man on Earth (Vincent Price). They are very similar in many ways. If you liked the earlier films; then you will surely like this one. I recommend this movie highly.

I thought it was a well thought out movie, however there were a few parts that needed work. The alternate version filled in some of those gaps and created a few new ones as well. For those that don't know, the movie is based around a virus that has been altered to cure cancer. It then mutates to become a harmful virus killing most people and changing most of the rest. Will Smith portrays a man who has been alone for 3 years facing despair every day. When you watch this movie keep in mind that scientist today are already working on this technology. The second disk, which contains the alternate version, is a pain in the you know what to watch. I watch all my movies on a computer, it tries to force you to use Microsoft media player. It also tries to force DRM on you and in doing so erases all your other DRM licenses. The second disk also has a smaller version that you are allowed to download to watch on IPods and similar equipment.

Will Smith's actying in this movie was top notch. Wheter it be him flirting w/ a manican or having conversations w/ his dog Samanta (Sam) he really made you believe he was the last man on Earth and he was doing it to keep his sanity or some weird sort of normalcy. The movie is based around the human race being infected w/ a virus called KV (the so called cure for cancer, which turns out to be a curse); he goes about his day trying to find food and get a cure for the virus. I really recomemend the mpovie. The ending is the low point of the movie because it doesnt end the way you would have hoped and its ends very abruptly. This movie is a must see.
