Last weekend I bought this PC to replace the laptop that my wife runs her stream from. Clearly an upgrade or so I thought. On my way home today, my wife texts me and says I dont know what happened but I was streaming and i heard a loud pop and my PC shut down. I am an electrician by trade so i come home, test the house outlet, the surge protector and both gave me an output of 120 volts. move on the the cord entering the power supply, still 120 volts. Check every output on the power supply 0 volts DC. Upon removing the power supply from the PC all i can smell is the telltale sign of burned up electronics coming from the power supply. I could understand if the pc was older or if I was overloading it, but with minimal peripherals plugged in, I burned up a brand new power supply? Doubtful. I am headed to BestBuy now to buy a replacement power supply made by a competitor that I know and trust.
