I recently purchased the iBUYPOWER V40, and I am absolutely thrilled! This PC is perfect for both gaming and work. Here are the key highlights that impressed me the most: 1. So far everything works great! I’m playing new triple A titles at 1440p with superb fps right out of the box. Temps are great too!The cpu stays ice cold with the aio and the highest temp I’ve seen the gpu reach is 70. I’m sure adding some exhaust fans at the top of the case which I plan to do will help it stay in the mid 60’s. Added another nvme which was straight forward, only downside is you do have to remove gpu, but the whole process took only 5 minutes. This is a sharp looking computer that is easy to work on which will make future endeavors way easier. I’m super glad I decided on this pc because now that I have it, there are no regrets. The price to value ratio here is fantastic!

So far, so good. I've only had my IBP for about 3 weeks and no issues. It boots up very fast and opening all apps have been a breeze so far. I paired it with an HP Omen 27" 240Hrz monitor. I have been playing some random "early access" games on Steam and Warzone. I'm getting 230FPS average during Warzone on max settings and the IBP is very quiet and staying cool. I was planning on getting Dragons Dogma 2 to test it out further but at this point I will wait for some patches to improve frames and crashes. I think it has a great amount of ports available on the MB and has the future proofed USB 3.0. I plan on getting in to more PC gaming so I will eventually add another internal SSD (or get a portable one) and some more Ram. At this point though, it's all I need. I recommend this specific one for anyone new to PC and want a rig that works out of the box without breaking the bank. Lastly I think it would have cost me $150 less to build my own with everything that was included, but to me, time is money and the saved time is well worth it.

I got this for my husband for Christmas after he sold his old PC and he is so grateful. The specs are great, the price was great, and it runs wonderfully! He loves the high-end games that need a powerful graphics card and this PC does its duty! I’m so thankful BestBuy was having a sale at the time because it just made my purchase that much easier! My cat Nala even approves :)

I bought this pc on black Friday with some hesitation because of some of the bad reviews I've read about the I buy power brand. But I went ahead and made the purchase since best buy was offering an extended return period for the holidays. (I believe until January 14th) That gave me a little peace of mind knowing I would have about a month to use the pc and make sure it didn't stop working like some of the reviews I have read. So far so good! I have been able to play new AAA titles and also heavy graphic Pcvr games. Everything has been running smooth and how it should. I really have been enjoying this pc so far so I'm hoping it stays this way and I can keep this pc for years to come! The only issue I really have with this pc is not enough storage space. It only has 1 tb of storage which runs out really fast especially if you're a gamer. Thats an easy fix though by just getting an external hard drive. I will update my review if anything changes with the quality or performance.

I haven't had this pc long but so far its great. Looks good. Performs great. Is quiet. I use mine for rendering 3d stuff and it renders fast. I like it. It's a keeper... It's a big pc tower so make sure you have the room. I left the door off my desk to fit it.

I am a research guy and when debating what system to buy let me tell you I did my homework. Both on the specs that would last a while as well as the company doing the build. I can say this is the best value for the power you can get right here. Add another SSD or HDD and you are set. This is blazing fast and looks awesome. Setup was simple and everything worked great. Plays everything on ultra and can even do video work with no issues. With the I7-3700 and the 4070 you are set for a few years with no needed upgrades except the storage if that. Highly recommend.

This is a great pc it have a 4070 in it and you can’t beat the price. If you’re looking to get into PC gaming like I was but your afraid/don’t know what makes a good set up. Well look no further I bought this on Black Friday for like $1600 and I showed it to my friends who have had pc’s for years and have spent upwards of $3500 in upgrading components and they said that they wish they had my pc over their pc. Also all of the color setting are in one app which make this very user friendly.

My old gaming laptop overheated and blew up, so after many years, I decided to invest into a nicer computer. After a lot of research and comparison shopping, I decided on my IBUYPOWER comp. This had everything I wanted, plus more. The RTX 4070 in it handles graphics beautifully. This computer is a great little powerhouse if you're into gaming! It's performance is great, but that's not all...the looks impress anyone who comes to my house. It's just gorgeous and I love that the glass panels are on 2 sides rather than just one. IBUYPOWER just produces good machines that are also astheticly pleasing (wiring inside is so cleanly done).

Purchased the Y40 Gaming Desktop with Intel i7, RTX 4070 12GB graphics card, 32GB RAM a few weeks back. My brother told me never to buy a computer at Best Buy, but I didn't listen to him, bought this one and I'm glad I did. The machine was easy to set up and it's exceeded my expectations thus far. I'm using the display port connection to a BENQ 4k monitor and it's producing the most realistic graphics I've seen for a video game. I'm playing a game that I've previously played on a 4K UHD TV thru a PS5 (Baulder's Gate 3) and there is just no comparison. This is SO MUCH MORE of a cleaner, crisper and higher quality graphical output. Xbox game pass is on the same level of graphics quality comparing Starfield vs an Xbox Series X. The computer is fast, load speeds are pretty good, and I can multitask several heavy items at the same time with no issues (You Tube TV, Steam, iTunes player, etc). It came with a 1TB SSD which is smaller than some other computers I looked at, so I'm adding a 2TB SSD today (Samsung 980 Pro). On the downside the computer has locked up a couple times requiring a hard restart. Also, Bluetooth choppiness on audio devices is pretty bad, but I've read this is a Windows issue and just needs to be configured differently. The computer came with a wired keyboard and mouse which are working fine for me. No need to upgrade unless you want wireless. I've connected a beats pill for audio output that works just fine. All in all, this has been a great purchase 2 weeks in. I was on the fence buying this computer at Best Buy vs a similar machine at Micro Center based on my brother's feedback, but I went ahead with the purchase. Great decision thus far, I highly recommend.

I do a lot of work with very large spreadsheets, mail merges, adobe PDF form processing and creation and I also enjoy the occasional photo/video editing/creation. I also have a Quest VR headset and want to hook it up to this machine at some point.... and I may do a little gaming on this setup... I find that Gaming PC's typically have better setups for what I need in a PC; and they are prettier too! Before buying this PC, I didn't know much about the brand so I went on to REDDIT and YouTube to read/watch reviews. At first I got scared because the titles of videos that came up after searching "IBUYPOWER", were similar to "I bought a Prebuilt Gaming PC, is it TRASH?", and "Did I get ripped off buying a prebuilt PC?" After watching the videos though, it seems that IBUYPOWER pc's are not bad after all. The general thoughts of the "experts" in the reviews were that IBUYPOWER definitely had some areas to improve, but they were right on as far as pricing and it seems that IBUYPOWER 's PCs can always be upgraded fairly easily once new tech comes out, or when the buyer has more money to customize. I am told that you shouldn't pay more than 100$ to 150$ more for a pre-built, as opposed to buying the parts individually. I did see some review/videos criticizing the amount of (lack of) airflow in some IBUYPOWER PCs, but that the particular PC build was from about 2 years ago and it doesn't seem to be an issue in this model. The only other issue that came up more than once was that there were no USB C ports on the machine even though the internal guts would have supported it. This machine does have one USB C on the front bottom. I do actually LOVE the keyboard that came with this unit. It is nice and heavy, and the keys muted "clickety-clack" are lovely music to my ears and not super annoying. I may actually buy this same keyboard for my 9 year old son because I can't stand his current crappy keyboard. I can hear him pressing the spacebar continuously for some stupid Roblox game from several rooms away. This machine runs perfectly for my needs, but I have only had it up and running for about 3 days. Once I FULLY customize the programs and install the various tweaks I use, I will update my review if anything changes.

Been pc gaming a long time and wanted to treat myself to a nice upgrade. This thing is so nice and everything worked flawlessly out of the box. My games are running max graphocs and temps are very low. Im so impressed by this thing. Its like playing the games i had in a new view; the picture clearity is that different. 100% recoend to anyone looking for a steal!

This is literally one of the best pre built pcs for the price. Runs all games full graphics crispy and clean. Doesn’t produce to much heat if you are worrying about your room getting hot. Nice and quiet and smooth operating system.

Purchased this as an impulse buy last Black Friday and have absolutely no regrets. This is my first real gaming computer and I love it. Have had 0 issues with it since and it runs every game with ease. Can turn all the settings up with games like Overwatch and Forza Horizon. Mainly bought it for CoD and get around 180 FPS on high settings @1440p.

my review will help out many if you take the time to do it. but the crashing on the computer straight from best buy is annoying. they use a off brand 700watt power supply when the computer needs a 850watt. i bought a corsair RM850x 80+ Gold (Model:CP-9020200-NA...SKU:6459244) for 120 bucks out the door and now the computer runs amazing with no issues. it will solve the crashing i promise.

this computer, when i got it was locking up alot, i couldnt figure out why. i read about it, ppl saying to lower the ram MHz in bios, i did that, still was locking up. so i decided the last thing i would try before i returned it for a new one was to format the drive and install windows fresh. Even re-installing windows was giving me problems, but finally i got it installed and its ran like a dream every since. HOWEVER, one small thing........if you are running very hot, in the mid to upper 70c range, take off the side panel and leave it off while under heavy load......this dropped my temp when gaming from mid to high 70c down to 55 to 65c range consistantly. Overall, love it, very fast, plays EVERYTHING and runs EVERYTHING super fast and on the ultra settings allowed without even trying. I would suggest getting more MVe2 Drives and max out the internal Drives for SSD, they are super fast for xfering things back and forth and everything is instant. hope you all have the same experience (without the locking up and reinstalling windows) i have had.

I've rounded up the rating to 5 stars, but this is definitely a 4.5 star PC. To start, after receiving the PC and activating Windows 11, I ran into constant lock-ups. This mainly occurred when Windows tried to update the PC, after installing an update, the PC would lock up. I tried different methods to troubleshoot and after complete frustration on thinking I received a lemon, I wiped the OS and installed Windows 10. I do prefer Windows 10 over 11 so I went with that. After the new OS loaded, Windows update and a numerous amount of game installations, I've had no issues since. I've added another 2TB NVME SSD (Samsung 990 PRO), the PC is still running strong. I have no issues running games from Starfield, Hogwarts Legacy, GTA, and WoW, all settings are maxed out. This PC was purchased during Black Friday and the sale was good enough for me to pull the trigger. I am completely happy with the purchase.
