I really was hoping my iPhone with case would fit on the charger, but it does not (unless the case is removed). I have only kept it because it has the Apple Watch charger and you can plug a usb cable in the back to charge your phone if the top doesn't work. It would be cool if the USB on the back would also work like the lightening connector built in.

Posted .In order to dock your iPhone with a case you must remove the rubber docking insert. It is only there to support an iPhone or iPod without a case.

The iWatch charger works great but I often wake up to find my phone uncharged after being on the charger overnight when I leave the case on. So in reality, you do need to take the case off to charge your phone.
