This unit is not rechargeable it needs to be plugged in order to work.
To toggle the clock display between standard 12 hour time and 24 hour (“military”) time display, press any Alarm Button while the display is flashing during time setting.

It arrived incredibly quick, as in I ordered this in the afternoon on day one, and it arrived in the morning on day 2. Really? INCREDIBLE! This has been used daily and so far, no issues whatsoever. We like that the numbers of the clock have dimming options, (we use the lowest setting other than off, and it works perfectly). And, we love the fact that you can charge two items at once with the additional USB port. It works perfectly for charging the phone on the unit, and an Apple Watch plugged into the USB. So far, we are very happy with this item.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nifty, easy to use. Doesn't take up much space. Display intensity is adjustable. Haven't used the cordless phone charger pad yet. Have to pry my phone out of it's protective case to charge, which is a pain.
