It’s good for a younger person that will be hanging at the beach or pool. But if you’re looking for good sound keep looking.

Warning: avoid the iHome portable speaker

The sound quality is poor, with weak bass and distorted highs. Battery life is short, and the 'water-resistant' design failed with minimal exposure to moisture. The design feels cheap and outdated. For the price, I expected far better performance. Would not recommend.

I'll never buy another iHome product

Sound quality was poor. Battery only lasts about 4-5 hrs (although to be fair I had volume high, but I also turned off the light).

They're not macbook pro quality and therefore overpriced. Best to get something else for this price range. Battery lasts a few hours with lights on. Battery doesn't last as advertised, would not be great to bring it outside for long travels such as camping.
