Posted .Sounds like the speaker needs to be charged. I have this speaker and it is very loud for it to be so small in size. Also, unpair/forget the speaker from your device (phone/tablet) and restart the device.
Then re-pair the unit and turn the volume all the way up on the device first, then the iBT371.

This is a 5 watt unit which provides great sound. Where were you outdoors? You might need to upgrade to the iBT374 which has 20 watts of audio output power.

But don't let this little speaker fool you! It has awesome bass sound and it connected perfectly through bluetooth on my phone. This maybe the best purchase I've made in awhile!

Posted .This speaker has 5 watts of audio output power and is loud for such a small unit. We would love to know how you are using the unit. This will not be enough power for a party, but great amplification of the cell phone in a regular size room and even on a nice walk to hang from a stroller or bicycle. She likes to listen to music while bathing and has lost 2 phones due to moisture damage. So this was a perfect solution to that. The performance of this speaker is truly wonderful. Clear crisp sound followed by a nice bass level. For a lower end blue tooth speaker this has been a great buy.
