I absolutely love the original, Boris Karloff-narated How the Grinch Stole Christmas, but I also hate, hate, hate the terrible, crass, and fake-sweet Jim Carey live-action version. What a surprise to find that this movie learns from the latter's mistakes and is more like the former, even as it successfully fleshes-out the story and the lives of The Grinch and The Whos. I wish Cumberbatch would have kept his native British accent, but he still does good work as the titular character. If you love the story, this movie is a must-have.

CGI effects in the Grinch is very well done. Illumination did a great job with CGI as they have done in the past with movies like Despicable Me Despicable Me 2 and Despicable Me 3 and of course minions. They went a slightly different Direction with this new version of The Grinch it was okay I didn't think highly of it but then again maybe a little kids might like it. Benedict Cumberbatch is a great actor he did a great job playing Doctor Strange. Yet he wouldn't be my first choice of voice the Grinch. The live-action version with John Kerry was great of course Ron Howard directed it. It's me this new version of The Grinch just didn't hit the mark I can only give it to 2 stars at best.

Not bad. A little different than the traditional Grinch but the same idea.

Fun Chrismas themed movie to whatch with the whole family. You can watch this movie year around especially with kids. It's a classic must have movie in your collection. Every time you watch you will laugh and giggle. It's a very funy family friendly movie.

I really like this movie. It’s a cute remake of the classic Grinch. Cindy-Lou is no longer 2 and many other changes were made, but the animation is beautiful, the voice actors do a good job, and the story is really well done, if obviously a slight departure from the original. If it helps to give a frame of reference, I love the original but hate the Jim Carrey version.

Not as good as the Chuck Jones version but fun, and it looks great on 4K.

Absolutely hit for the holidays, my kids love it they have watched it easy twenty times this week alone , and the DVD Blu-ray and digital combo is great , I left the DVD at the grandparents and the Blu-ray at home and can watch it with movies anywhere and Vudu

Good movie. Good graphics pretty much follows the original story line. If you liked the Jim Carey version you will be let down by this one. If you like the original animation version you will like the updated animation.

My nephews loved the movie! They personally requested it for Christmas and Best Buy made shopping for it quick, easy and efficient with online ordering and curbside pickup at my local store. I would definitely recommend the movie for children of all ages and the great value of shopping online with Best Buy with their competitive prices.

The Grinch is a Christmas staple...that being said, this movie fell a little flat for me. Didn’t feel like the adjustments to the original were strong enough to warrant. Awesome animation though.

I am not a fan of the movie so I didn't watch it, but my children displayed boredom and restlessness while watching the movie. They mutually agreed that the Jim Carrey version was better.

Love this live action version of The Grinch as Jim Carey was perfect in the role. I also have the original animated TV classic with Boris Karloff narrating Dr. Seuss' exact words which is my favorite. This movie gives an insight of why The Grinch stole Christmas.

This remake, one of many, is the same story we have heard each season. The quality of the 4k is fantastic. Add the Dolby Atmos and it sounded like it was a theater in our living room.

Just love the Grinch story and enjoyed this film so much. The Animation is fantastic and the cast of voice actors are nice. Missed the to get the Steelbook the first time around; but happy that Best Buy offered another one for the holidays and now with 3 mini holiday movies. Too bad it’s not on 4K but I liked.

My 5 year old loves this movie. I also enjoy this movie. Im not a fan of the other Grinch movies. But this one i like. It's pretty funny. Couldn't find it streaming anywhere this year so i had to pick up a copy. I got a PS5 earlier so i decided to try out a 4K movie with. It looks great!

The Jim Carrey one is the best. Got this one with the hope it was be just as good but it failed to impress. Should have just got the digital and skipped the SteelBook.

I was a bit hesitant purchasing this version of the famous story, especially given the great performance of Jim Carrey in the live action film...but, this was worth every penny I spent on it. If you are a fan of the Dr. Seuss classic, you have to get this version! You will not regret it!
