This film tries to show us a dramatic episode of ancient Greek life but only showed a mad butcher causing of lot of killings, Greek gods acting not too smart, and a hero who accidentally became a hero. A lot of naturalistically shown beheadings.

Aesthetically this movie looks awesome. It was produced by one of the producers from (300), so it looks the part. However with a bland storyline and sub-par acting I'm not sure I can't recommend this film to anyone.

If your into Greek mythology and liked the aesthetic of 300, you'll probably want to check this one out. Also the action is decent. Worth at least one viewing.

The movie was a let down from 300. The cinematography is similar but the story is a let down. ok to watch. Nothing special.

Weak attempt at copying 300 style movie. Not much of a plot and boring acting

Overall, I really liked the movie. I didn't get the chance to watch it in the theater so I was waiting til it came out. Got it day one and watched it that evening. As far as the 3d version goes if you are building your collection, make sure you get it release week. The price is only a few dollars more than the regular blu ray. If you wait after, stick with the regular Blu Ray. Majority of the movie did not appear 3dish. And no I am not referring to pop out. I am very much into 3d and this lacked even depth thru out the movie. A few scenes were good but overall very mediocre. Appeared that it wasn't shot for 3d. I own more than a dozen 3d titles and this one is sub-par on the 3d level. On the positive side, I liked the storyline. I wish there was a bit more with the main weapon of the movie though. Good movie to add to your collection if you liked movies like 300, Troy, and even Gladiator.

'The Immortals' is a film like no other and is something that should be watched. If you are expecting a film that is just like "300" then do not watch this. If you want to see an artistic, brutal, 'moving-painting movie', then you need to see this. Tarsem Singh is a great director. If you don't know who is, he directed "The Cell","The Fall", and recently "Mirror, Mirror". If you don't like the production design or feel of these films, it will be hard to watch "The Immortals". Tarsem has a strong artistic style that is hard to describe unless you see his work.

The visuals in this film are quite breathtaking i saw it twice at the imax in 3D AND NOW I OWN IT ON 3D..blu-ray and dvd... i found it very enjoyable but don't watch a film like this because you want to see an oscar worthy preformance from any of the actors because that's not what a movie like this is about.. so if thats what you are looking for you might want to see ben kingsley in hugo instead. this is a spectacular and violent visual feast with some of the same elements as 300 but slightly less charactor development.....it's not pefect in terms of the acting but it is far from horrible......if you want to see horrible acting see any of the twighlight movie where everyone appears to be fully aware of being filmed at all times and mumbling is required. Want to see a bloodbath similar to 300 but actually looks better at times? then see this at least once... btw not a huge fan of the last sequence of the movie.

Much better than 300 but not as good as Clash of the Titans. I found this movie to be pretty enjoyable to watch. It features some pretty outstanding visuals and the plot is satisfying despite the typical -lowly peasant falls in love with an insanely hot chick and saves the world- cliche. The 3D aspect in this movie could have put it over the top considering the visuals it presents. Unfortunately, I didn't notice any spectacular 3D moments, so I have to chalk this one up as just another average 3D experience. Film Experience: 4 of 5 3D Experience: 3 of 5

I really enjoyed the action aspects of this film and the lead star you can tell can handle the role of Superman. The way the Gods powers are displayed are unique and very fun to watch. The story itself is there to move to the next action set piece and is pretty familiar to anyone who has seen fantasy films. It is very nice film to look at and is highly enjoyable on the visceral level alone. The video and audio are good, but the color scheme at times are dry and desert. Recommended for action fans and fans of fantasy movies.

I enjoyed this movie! It did the classic task for movies. It continued, across the ages, to spread the legacy of truth and committment. We need that in the age of our current problems. The people and their beliefs can not be sacrificed on the altar the petty would set forth to destroy all. Now, more than ever, we need to take in this message of truth!

I saw this film in 2D at a discount theater, and I really liked it! I remember telling my wife that when it got released on 3D Blu-ray that I had to buy it! Sure enough I marked the calendar and bought, I missed the sale price though. I was really excited to watch in 3D and I did enjoy it, there isnt a lot of 3D in terms of pop-out, but since the movie is so entertaining and hearing it on really loud theater sound hightens the experience it didnt really bother me. The last scene is probabaly the best 3D scene.
