    Not Satisfied with the Installation

    Hi, I recently purchased a JVC Cd player for my car and opted for Free Installation from Best buy. The physical installation was ok but unfortunately the Geek squad person did not configure the finer settings in the player to produce a good music effect. For example nothing was configured as far as cross over settings were concerned, the Car type settings was not configured etc. This has resulted in a not so good listening experience despite buying a good player. Im disappointed by this kind of service by Best Buy. Please contact me if you guys can configure the finer settings in the CD player properly. Regards, Sameer

    Install Charges are a joke

    Do NOT pay for the expense of the installation. You will find your $64.99 covers nothing because when you show up for your appointment, they will quote you $200+ for "additional hardware". Just read the other reviews! Not to mention you then have to reschedule your appointment (we live an hour away from store) for another time so the additional hardware can be ordered. I read all kinds of reviews on the stereo I purchased, not realizing THIS would be my biggest problem. Why has Best Buy not improved this for its consumers? The reviews are BEGGING you to fix this problem...your lack of action in accurately informing your consumers at TIME OF PURCHASE indicates you are making money off this by charging the $64.99 up front and then additional money at install. The tech squad didn't even have in the system that I paid $64.99 for the install. BIG FAIL BEST BUY! I absolutely will not recommend this to anyone.

    my new car audio system does not work

    Granted I have an older car that some kid had replaced the factory radio so my Geek had to repair a few things. But after I drove out I realized that my right speaker didn't work. Next day I the left speaker stops working. I tried calling the store but gave up after waiting 30 minutes. Waiting 15 minutes on chat response is schedule another service visit which is in 10 days. Service visits are only for an hour. My first visit was on Monday. Geek looked at it and said to come back on Wednesday when they would have more time. So now I am scheduling another visit for one hour. I expect to show up and them tell me to return on another date. This process may be efficient for the shop but its VERY FLUSTRATING and a WASTE of time for me the $ paying customer

    I ordered the item and contacted geeks to have it installed. The guy who answered the phone was completely uninterested in my business and basically had a take-it-or-leave-it attitude. When I learned that they wanted another $60 bucks for parts on top of the $50 install fee, I cancelled it. I bought the same parts on Amazon for less than $20.

    Geek Squad stereo system to my car

    I’m not very happy with the way I couldn’t get a refund on the installation for my car stereo system because the Merced store didn’t have an installer at it store so I lose 79 dollars because of that I had find somebody else to install my stereo with in Merced to do the job for me.

    ...I didn't. They charged me for a full install even though they found out that my whole problem was a loose wire in the harness that THEY sold me initially. I paid it anyways just cause I didn't want to haggle. They should have called me and told me, replaced the wire for me, and let me decide if I wanted to do it myself or not.

    The tech wanted to go home and made no effort to help me understand how to use the unit. The install appears to be done well. I was only directed to the vehicle, not even shown the install.

    I had an appointment for my Best Buy car stereo. I arrived on time, but the outdoor entrance was locked, leaving me in pouring rain. OK, no problem. After alerting staff inside, I returned. The install was sub par. The frame for the stereo continues to slip off...annoying. The cost skewed on the high end...$100.

    Haven’t installed my stereo yet and I bought it about 2 months ago. They had to reschedule due to a tech guy being sick and sent me an email for a reschedule. I emailed back several times and I’ve gotten no answer and I called several times and received no answer. I finally got a hold of someone last Saturday and they submitted a form for me and no one has called me yet. I called two days ago and the dude said he’d make sure they would call me right away and no one has yet. I need my appointment
