    Installation Failure

    Mercedes-Benz should know; factory-installed sound systems cannot be changed. Attempting to change will cause a corruption of systems bundled through the factory installation which causes a failure and faults becoming rampant such as the SRS system, disruption of the heating and vent system. It caused a mess in my C240, necessitating >5 return trips to Best Buy. After printouts of >15 faults in these systems were provided to Best Buy, they refunded all except for the installation cost. Apparently I had to pay for their ineptness for not knowing it was impossible to even do such an installation in the 1st place.

    They took apart my steering colum left it all loose used my blinker and high beams came on it was done by complete ametures

    Thought it would be convenient to have Best Buy hang out TV. The installer cut a wire in the wall. I was left with no power and no tv on the wall. I am out $370 for the electrician that had to fix the cut wire and I still have holes in my wall that need to be repaired. I have spent 3 afternoons waiting for contractors and Best Buy is giving us the run around. I haven't even been refunded for the $250 I paid for installation that I didn't get. To say we are not happy, would be an understatement.

    Went in for my scheduled appointment. Was not able to get my radio installed. Another car had took longer than expected and I got bumped from that day. No other times were available for me to get the radio installed. I didn't even get a call from Best Buy telling me that I was not going to be seen that day. My time was in the middle of the day (2pm) and they couldn't fit me in before they closed for the day. I had taken the afternoon off of work to get the installation. Very dissatisfied with the service. Definitely will not be returning to Best Buy.

    The installation date was changed 3 times due to wrong install time and installer not available at appointment time. Returned items and went to another audio installer and purchased radio and accessories on Thursday and install on Friday. Made 2 trips to one best buy store and was on my way to the other when appointment cancelled.

    The stereo was installed correctly, but they forgot to tighten back down my positive and negative battery cables after they installed the stereo.

    The install guy was a complete hack I installed stereos in the 90s and this insaller hacked my daughters car all up when i picked it up i opened the door and wheather stripping was falling off piller panels where all hanging off with broken clips the radio mount was for a volvo and was cut and rigged in the hole with black 2 way sticky tape. I had to pay like $200 to get it all attended to an repaired then 2 days later wires came out on the passenger side floor. It was a mess total hack job! I tried to complain noone to get ahold of and nobody returned my calls no management at location.

    Somewhat disappointed in the service because they installed the microphone under the radio rather than over the steering wheel. When doing BT phone calls, the voice does not pick up very well.

    Installed a low-end radio in my son's car, replacing a broken factory-installed unit. Did not fully test the item before it left the store. No sound comes out of the passenger side rear speaker. Functioned prior to installation.

    104th and i25 geek squad installed a radio in my car and never tested the sound in the stereo untell I check it my self and found major issues with a static sound. And I told them why’s this sound like that and they were very confused and now I’m trying to schedule another appointment to have it 100% corrected but there dipping and dodging me. I’m very frustrated and disappointed on the craftsmanship they delivered. No professionalism

    I was less than thrilled about the communication between the person setting up the appointment and the installers. Especially when it came to the length of time they told me it would take to install it.

    I would tell the sales associates to make sure you let the guest know this basic install will cost additional $140. If you want to be able to control the music from your steering wheel

    I got the installation for the car stereo that I bought my daughter for Christmas. They got her scheduled on short notice which was great, and they had it installed in about an hour. The problem was we had to return 3 times to get it done correctly. When returning on the 3rd try, installer was rude, like it was our fault there was something still wrong.

    Was not impressed. I preordered and prepaid for everything. The guy who helped me was extremely confused. He forgot to order my radio so when I went to have it installed, the managerhad to go get one from a different store. Whwn they finally did the install, they forgot that I had the controls on the steering wheel and said it would cost another $170.00 to have that done. I asked for everything up front prior to ordering and paying, so I think that they didn't complete the job correctly.

    Not very impressed with the installation guys, I brought in my two pick ups one that was going up for sale, and the one I had just purchased. Wanted the speaker and subs transferred from on pick up to the other and I had a brand new deck for the new pick up as well so all they had to do was take the subs out and put them and the new deck in the new pick up, but they put the wrong stereo deck in. They didn’t listen to anything I asked for.

    Geek Squad broke something

    The GS Installer broke the dashboard panel next to the ashtray while trying to force the USB cable over the ashtray. Given the car is 24 years old the plastic is brittle, however, the USB cable went under the ashtray easily (once I got the car back). The GS Installer expressed remorse but that doesn't fix the breakage. Also, Geek Squad apparently didn't have the appropriate adhesive for the attempted repair.

    I took time off to get this install. When i showed up at scheduled time was told that someone else had my scheduled time and i would have to come back. After complaining and talking to manager, install was done. I dont blame installer... Best buy problem. If i had not needed this done, ( was leaving on vacation next day) i would have gone elsewhere to buy and install. Feeling from Best Buy.... Oh well ... This was not a good best buy experience.

    bought stereo in store and after informed could not install at that store because didn't have skills and rescheduled to another store with 6 weeks wait time. Day of install snowed and trying to cancel reschedule difficult.

    Installer was out, but I never received a call. Manager stated there was a note that I had been called, but I had no calls, even personal that day. The manager gave me a big enough discount to make it the same price to get it installed somewhere else and was very helpful, but the entire situation was extremely stressful, and someone needs to be retrained to not say they did something when they didn't.

    my service appointment to install my car audio was all of a sudden marked complete 1.5 weeks before the appointment. part of my order was available, and i was asked to have it picked up (why, i don't know...because it's going to be installed anyway). terrible sequence of events here. to have the appointment marked complete is very irritating!
