The instillation was efficient
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unless you can do this for yourself, you have to pay for the instillation of the sound system. That said, the instillation was done quickly and efficiently.

Good service with bad quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a big job done here. I had new wiring and speakers, as well as a new head unit and sub/amp, installed in my recently restored vintage truck. The installation was done very quick and came out terrible. I would not use their installation service for anything more than getting stock speakers replaced. They DO NOT have the experience/expertise to handle full audio replacement/installation. Stick to shops that deal with nothing but car audio for large scale jobs like the one I had done.

Technical Success, Administrative FAIL
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While the tech did a good job of installing the stereo, when all was said and done there was a lot of confusion regarding payment. We had prepaid for installation online the day before when the appointment was scheduled, but after the tech was done, they tried to insist payment was due; when we explained that it had already been paid, they wanted proof. So we gave them both the order confirmation number and the geek squad in store service confirmation number... yet still they want a copy of the email from my inbox? Really? Shouldn't the same system that allowed me to make the appointment and pay for it online in the first place, also show on their end? This is GEEK SQUAD after all, supposedly they are "THE" technology experts, yet no one could even figure out if an online order was paid for without greatly inconveniencing us. While I understand a business wanting to make sure they were paid for services & goods, treating paying customers like criminals and liars isn't how you get return customers or positive feedback. Pretty disappointing experience, but the radio works, so you get 2 stars instead of 1.

No one seems to be in charge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wanted a radio with Apple CarPlay for or 2020 Versa. Checked online for product compatibility. System said it would function and installation was included for $259.99. Called the call center to make an appointment. They verified that the radio was in stock and made us the appointment. Drove 35 miles to the store at the appointed time. The Tech informed us that the radio was not is stock and to install it so we could use our backup camera, antenna, steering wheel controls, USB hub, and set it into the dash would be an additional $253.91 plus tax. I am at a loss to comprehend how they can advertise “ installation included. Extra hardware costs included: a wiring harness, antenna adapter, steering wheel control interface, USB adapter, 6v camera, and a dash kit. While talking to the store manager the Tech came up front and indicated that there is not a Dash kit even available for the Versa. Went back home w/o the radio. I tried to work through the chat on line. The session was ended by the agent on 3 separate occasions. (I was later told that I could not type for more than 2 minutes or the session automatically ends.) The next day I went to the phones. I was transferred into oblivion 3 times and to a fax machine once. I complied a list of 11 phone numbers some repeats. No one listened to me just gave me a company line and transferred me away.

Not bad, not good.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The job itself was cleaner than I imagined. However, there is a huge uneven gap on either side of the radio. One side has a big gap, the other smaller. It looks as if the radio is facings the passenger and it looks very out of place. The moment I saw it I knew I wasn't going to be able to deal with it. They told my dad that was all they could do to fix it but I feel differently. The staff was nice but, they rush to get to appointments. I understand but at the same time, why not have more people on hand so that a job is not half-done and meets customers expectations. I am EXTREMELY unsatisfied with the results.

Installation for stereo
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Installation was done right and looked great. You can't see the mic wires and the unit look and preforms great. It did take longer than they said and it was twice as much as they quoted me on the phone. If you get a quote on the phone make them double check and prepare to wait in case they are running behind

Lots of stuff they don't tell you before you get t
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had payed for this installation and within the set up process I had selected the radio with a touch screen option and thought I was set to go. I get there and first they tell me they can't put the specific brand of radio in, why wasn't I told this before? Then I proceed to show him the radio and he says they can do it, but since it has the screen it will be $100 and I was told I bought the wrong package, but it gave me the option for the radio with a screen. Then since I had cut the original harness off they slapped another 40 bucks on the bill and now I'll be here for five hours. My total was over $200. It would have been a little nice to have a heads up about all these things. I will never do busniess with geek squad again.

Poor scheduling leads to pressured buying
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wanted to surprise my son with a new stereo in his truck while he was away for the weekend. Called the store and talked to someone in Geek Squad. He said that I could get a guaranteed install time the next day if I came into the store and purchased everything that afternoon. I drove to the store only to be told that they were already booked for the next day. Then they pressured me to go ahead and buy everything now so I could come in the next day to wait, or drop off the vehicle, with no guarantee that it would actually be done by the end of the day. Wish I had saved myself the trip. Just another wasted hour that I'll never get back.
