Make sure you know what hardware you need
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They are slightly more pricey with the hardware versus buying on Amazon or EBay but the installation price itself is a good deal.

If I need hardware, tell me that before I drop off
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered the deck and installation on line. I set up an appointment to install and dropped off the car. I was then told that they would need to order additional hardware that will take about two weeks to get in. I wasted a good part of my Saturday for this and see no reason that the online purchase or scheduling web site could not have mentioned this.

Hidden Charges not explained
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After purchasing installation services, upon return of the vehicle, it was made known that there was an additional charge, doubling the initial purchase price for this service. That should have been spelled out or discussed in advance as stated in Bestbuy's installation information, Feel cheated. Will boycott Bestbvuy form now on.

Fast but inefficient
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This job was done fast and by very polite employees. The only real problem is the stereo was't properly mounted to the power cable in the rear and it disconnects time to time when you push a button.

not coming again
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I previously purchased everything I needed for an install of subs, amp, deck, etc., and took it to bestbuy for an install. Everything went well the first day until I came back from the 4 hour wait I was told it would take. They then proceeded to tell me it would take 3 to 4 more hours for my install to be complete. So fine I said, and waited. I came back again for them to tell me they couldn't do the deck today and if have to come back next week, which I did. I show up next week and after the second, hour long drive there. I was not given a call soon enough to be warned that the person to work on my car called in sick. So after talking with a lazy manager who played dumb and couldn't care less about what happened we convinced them to compensate us only 20 dollars for several wasted hours and way too much gas, only to be re-scheduled for another appointment 4 days later. I will not be using bestbuy services again.

Installation took way too much time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a pre-set appointment for a auto stereo installation, the start of which was already delayed by 30 minutes due to a prior customer taking longer. Then the installer kept stopping his work on my car to help other walk-in customers and taking technical phone calls, thus further delaying installation. For customer service of those with appointments, please do not interrupt the installation to assist walk-ins and phone inquiries. They can wait just like the rest of us.

Waste of my time and money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a isimple blutooth from BestBuy in Avondale, AZ. The installer told me it would be 1.5 hours so I decided to wait. After 4 hours it was finally ready. The lead tech was rude and short. Yelled at the jr. tech in front of me because he quoted a lower price for installation than what he was supposed to. My leather seat now has two 3 inch slashes in it (just bought the car a week ago). Spent $250 on parts and installation just to add Bluetooth and I've only gotten it to work twice.

DON'T DO IT!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I called to set up an appointment and the guy scheduled me for an hour before they even opened.. so I had to sit there and wait... now I'm upset.. then he tells me I'm going to need all these other parts that they don't have in stock.. now I'm really upset.. long story short all the guy had to do was tell me over the phone that I was going to need these parts and I could have gotten them online for much cheaper than they ended up costing me.. take it to a stereo shop for the install.. don't let these guys give you the run around and overcharge you.

very qwick and easy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Instalation was quick in and out. It sounds great overall. The only issueI've noticed is that most of the sound comes from he back speakers no matter how I adjust the fade. Not a problem unless the kids are sleeping in the back and I want to keep listening in the front. Sounds good when I drive alone. Service was good just take the time to make sure you check out setting while you are with the installer.

WASTE OF TIME AND INCOMPETANT TECHS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They had a week's notice. Made us come back 3 times until someone who knew what they were doing was there. Then, he showed up 30 minutes late, and after 4 hours the supervisor said we needed to come back as they didn't know what they were doing.

Horrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Service at the shop was terrible. I set up for the first appointment of the day and after working a graveyard shift got up bright and early to get down for the install. Only then to be told that it could not be done. I gave all the details online for the type of vehicle and the current system installed yet he claims that that information was not given to him. After he gave me the run around and several lame excuses I decided to take my car to a Indy and put his qualms to the test. Lo and behold my system was installed 4 hours later by that shop. I will NEVER use Best Buy again and I understand now that Geek Squad is a farse! Complete waste of time!

Not the best impression set.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Took 2 hours to make the reservation since online was not working. Drove an hour to the store and when I arrived, was told that the tech was leaving at that time (not sick, just leaving) and I could leave the vehicle and they possibly could get to it the next day but no guarantees since they were booked up, eventho two other techs were working on a vehicle which appeared to not be BB related. This is the first time I have ever requested an installation. Not real impressed.

Alpine Car Stereo Installation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had complete Alpine Stereo Installed in my 2005 Toyota Camry. Installation Tech broke panel clips that he temporarily fixed by using black tape. Installation Tech Stripped a bolt that holds my car seat in place. Did a really sloppy job installing Polk Audio 6X9's, as misdrilled holes were left in the back panel of my car. The panel he broke the clips on as well as the stripped car seat bolt cost me $427.00. Very bad experience with Geek Squad.

Beware the hidden costs.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just a deck installation won't do it: You have to pay not only for the hardware, but separate labor charges for the speakers. These costs ended up more than doubling the price. We ended up returning everything for a refund.

Car Stereo Installation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terrible experience at Wilmington, NC ..Installers made every excuse why they could not install the stereo I purchased without the pieces of the car being damaged. After doing research watching someone do it on You Tube its quite evident they just didn't want to do the work. Cancelled order Stereo and all parts. Terrible customer service.
