It's a free service with purchase. my big complaint was the radio came with a microphone and the tech put it in an awkward spot without consulting me. It was in the way of viewing my speedometer. It would have been nice to be asked where i wanted it before he reassembled the dash board. He had to take it apart and reposition the microphone to a place i had to suggest.

They didn’t even install it because of the tiniest hairline crack in my dash board. I installed the stereo myself and didn’t break anything. Not the techs fault but come on man
