Will not buy anything from Best buy again
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The purchase of a new car stereo and install was simple. Then from there it's all down hill. I called the local store and setup an appointment for after Christmas since the stereo was a gift. He said to me that it would be about 130 dollars more at the time of install because I wanted to retain my steering wheel controls. Fine. No problem. See you on that date. No extra info. No directions on where to go for the install. Nothing. Figured it wouldn't be that hard. Come to the date of install. My wife arrives before 9am, which was our install time. The store is closed so can't go into store to get to installers. No signs out front direction you around back. She tries to call the 800 number. That's a pit of voicemail that won't ever get answered until the store opens which is an hour later. She drives around back, signs on the door say open at 11. That's 2 hours after our appointment. By the way it's 0 degrees outside so not exactly weather you want to get out and try to pound on doors or whatever. She waited for the store to open and goes inside and explains she's upset because there is no signage, no local phone number to call the installer at to see what she should do when the signs say things aren't open. The manager starts with well that's not our fault, you should have knocked on the door around back. They walk back to the installer who continues to blame my wife and says he remembers seeing me in the store and he told me to come around back and knock on the door. If you remember from above I told you I called the store. So kind of hard for him to remember me and what he told me when I was never in the store. He continues to blame my wife and say its all our problem and then tells her the total is 190. She said you told us 130 because of the steering wheel control. Oh well there's an extra 60 install that control even though I already paid for install of the stereo and the dash is ripped apart anyways. Hmmm. So now the install comes to 250 bucks for a 130 dollar radio. Um. No that's ridiculous. We were treated horribly. Told we are stupid for not just pounding on a door when the sign says open at 11. And then not given the full details of cost up front. I knew I should have just gone somewhere else or done it myself. It's not rocket science and the parts needed to install the radio do not cost that much to begin with. You have seen your last business from me and if you continue to allow managers and store employees to talk to customers the way they talked to my wife I highly doubt I will be the only one not returning.

NOT INSTALLED YET!!!! TWO MONTHS

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered a Piooner in-dash receiver to be installed on my wife Kia Sedona on November 25th. When I bought it, according to Best Buy web page, i had to buy some additional parts to get it installed at my car. My initial appointment was for December 7th. When I went to the best but car installation bay, the technician told me that it can't be installed because the parts listed online where wrong, so I have to return them and buy new ones (that cost almost double of the original ones). They don't have them on store so we have to order them and wait. We did so and rescheduled for Dec 28th. One day before (27th) i got an email that the part was delayed and i have to wait...so I called car services and they told me that i have to reschedule the installation when i get the part. I got an email today that the part is ready to pickup (Jan 10th). So i called again and they told me that the earliest schedule spot is January 29th!!!!. So A Christmas gift for my wife will take 2 months to be installed...my mistake for not going to a reliable car audio shop...i can't review the system because is sitting on my desk for a month... but I can review Best buy installation service... HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!
