Installation was done fast and accurate. Very courteous

What I thought would be a nice free installation that came with my new Sony aftermarket radio turned into a three trip nightmare. First trip was the radio installation but they technician didn’t have time to install the steering wheel controls and asked me to return 2 weeks later to have them installed. I figured that was a given service needed to fully enjoy my new radio but I didn’t tell them up front about needing this so I’ll take the blame on that one. The second trip was suppose to be to install the steering wheel controls but the adapter they sold 2 weeks earlier was not the correct adapter needed for my car. We find this out after wasting another trip and 1.5 hours with a trial and error installation. So the technicians orders a different adapter that will work for sure in my car since it’s made specifically for my make/model. Why was this adapter not ordered in the first place? Who knows? With new adapter ordered another appointment was scheduled for me to return another week. The third installation was done today with steering wheel controls now working BUT now I noticed that a corner of the harness that keeps my radio in place to the dash is now popping out. This wasn’t an issue the other two previous times so it looks like I’ll be making a FOURTH trip. TLDR: don’t trust the FREE Geek Squad service that may come with your new purchase. These technicians don’t do any research prior to appointments and may end up wasting your time and money on multiple trips. Just go to a professional stereo installation shop and get what you pay for.

This is the worst experience that I've ever had with Best Buy. Two weeks ago, I purchased a car stereo receiver and the installation for my Jeep. When I found out that only two places in my area actually install anymore, and that they are both booked out for two months, I decided to cancel. I easily cancelled my stereo purchase. There is NO WAY TO CANCEL YOUR INSTALLATION. I've tried on line. I've called customer service five times, wasted hours of my life trying to get my $129.99 back. I went to a store and the manager rudely told me that since I didn't purchase this installation at his store, he couldn't help me. THIS IS MISERABLE. Whatever you do, DO NOT purchase anything that requires an installaion from Best Buy.

Spent over an hour with Best Buys chat feature Geek Squad agent to select and purchase a car audio system for my son's first car as a birthday gift. We discussed everything, took pictures of the dash components, etc etc. We added the additional items necessary for installation, I paid in full, and scheduled installation. My son, extremely excited, arrives for his appointment AND IS TOLD THE SYSTEM WON'T WORK IN HIS CAR! To say I am disgusted and disappointed with the outright failure of Best Buys Geek Squad would be an understatement! My son was told he would have to pay an additional $300 for a part from China. I'm not naive, I understand everything has requirements, but THAT'S WHY I TRIED TO DO THE LEG WORK WITH GEEK SQUAD FIRST!!! We requested a refund because I was already $500 deep on a $349 system with parts and installation and refused to pay an additional $300. Be careful with these people to avoid disappointment.
