    Horrible service, horrible treatment.

    The tech, Mason, was a pompous, arrogant person who thought he could do nothing wrong. I brought my car back the day after it the Pioneer AVH-2550NEX was supposed to have been installed. The back-up camera was not working, i.e. when I shifted into reverse, the screen on the Pioneer deck did not show the rear-facing camera image. Instead of actually reviewing his work, he told me his installation was perfect and that I did not know what I was talking about. I was dumbfounded and upset. He treated me like dirt. The Store Manager, Ben, did nothing to cure the problem. He also refused to look at the installed Pioneer deck and examine the problem. I am a Total Tech Support Customer. BestBuy refused to fix the problem or uninstall the Pioneer. I had waited about a month from the time I booked the appointment until the appointment occurred. I plan on taking action of some sort.

    We bought this item for our son as a Christmas gift. He went to use his heat in his truck a day after the install and realized it wasnt working. I called to ask for us to set a time to bring it back in to be checked due to it being possible something didnt get reconnected during install. I was sent to a 3rd party company to "file a claim". Tech clld to bring car back. Then told my hsbnd WE needed to buy a part but he would put it in. NOT AN OPTION! VERY DISSATISFIED! WILL NOT SHOP AT BEST BUY AGAIN!

    Best Buy Sales and Installation

    When I was buying the car stereo for the installation, I was very specific that I did not want to lose the functionality of the steering wheel controls. The salesperson kept interrupting me with an offer for some $200 per year service that the sales associates were obviously pressed to push on the customer. The salesperson assured me that the radio was going to be fully functional and have SiriusXM. I told him several times that the radio needed an XM Module because I had done my research. Finally, I spoke to the installer and despite telling the installer that I wanted steering wheel functionality, he ordered a $300 Installation kit with auto-climate (but no steering wheel functionality) instead of the $140 iDatatlink Maestro (which would have retained steering wheel controls, and auto-climate functions, along with even more options). I'm hoping Best Buy will make it right, but as of right now, I'll never use the Geek Squad services ever again.

    Hi I got my radio put in and I was the last customer. It took them 3 and a half hours to finish me up. My radio was not installed correctly!! I have Sirius ready in my car but not when they finished it and I was told well we didn’t know you had it and it would cost me additional money to get it installed !! My DVD player wasn’t hooked up to watch my movies because whatever the reason was and when I asked the guy stated they got rid of the wire. I paid extra for an Apple Play to get all of these features so I left crying because I was not pleased at all because I had to pay out all of this money for a radio hook and a radio with all the features that I wanted but can’t use because improper install!! what a BUMMER!!! My sister said go back to them but I feel as if they still will not do me right!!

    Was buying all the required items for my install, and the guy just kept telling me how difficult my head unit was to install (JVC 330bt). So I scheduled an appt. Went home looked thru everything and end up doing it my self took me about 45 mins. That includes the time it took me to soder my wiring harness together very simple install. If you know what you doing go for it. Most instructions are very detailed and theres a ton of videos online to help with any ?s.

    If you try to reach anyone in the department about issues or questions about install. Forget about it. Salesperson that sold item was very nice.

    CD/DVD Wasn't Hooked Up Completely Properly

    The installation of my cd/dvd player wasn't hooked up properly because now as I drive I hear a whining noise coming from my speakers. The faster I go, the louder it gets. Also when people call me through Bluetooth, they only hear static because of this. The installer was having a hard time with the installation and made numerous calls for help so I figured I was going to have issues afterwards. I can hear my music ok but when the sound is down, the whining noise becomes unbearable.

    Nobody was able to do anything. Extremely frustrating process as I booked an appointment months out. A system glitch double booked my appointment and when I tried to call the store, they sent me through a phone tree that connected me with an internal Best Buy employee work comp line. After wasting hours of my time, I showed up at my appointment only to find out that the vehicle fit tool on bestbuy.com was wrong. What’s more, the staff wouldn’t return my items because they said the store wasn’t open. Why not hold them til you do open? It’s 2021 and this is a tech store? Unreal. Being a rewards member and having a Best Buy card is worthless. It’s like this store was more friendly and up to date with tech 20 years ago. Now I have to return for 3rd trip to do a return. Super disappointing that a local retailer has turned to junk. Customers will only be loyal for so long when you disrespect their time.

    Geek Squad Service INCOMPLETE!

    This service was NOT completed. I picked up my order at the store and now my portal shows that this service was completed. I have tried to call the store all day today and no one will answer. If my appointment has been cancelled, after waiting 2 months, I am going to be highly upset.

    The guy who installed my radio couldn’t have known what he was doing none of the controls on my steering wheel work the speakers in the rear of my car don’t work I said something to him and I asked him why he said he didn’t know and asked me was he an ahole for not knowing and then told me that something was wrong with it and he couldn’t get it right but never told me anything when I went to pick up my car never mention it never help me set up anything nothing just here are the keys I asked to speak to a manager he started throwing his toolsI try to go in the store he went open the door I said could you please open the door so he said no and giggled I went to the front of the store walked in and asked to speak to the manager they were no help told me we could just take it out I want to radio I just want it done right I called customer service I was told if I wanted anything done I would have to take it back to that store I’m not going back there so basically Best Buy robbed me

    Geek Squad Installer did a TERRIBLE JOB!!

    The Geek Squad Agent did a poor job on the installation! Had to return to the store the next day to have it installed correctly, but he was off, so I talked to a manager and gave him a detailed list of everything that was not done correctly (wiring, missing screws and covers, etc.). The manager assured me that when the installer came back to work the next day, that he would make sure that the install was done correctly. I was there early the next morning and left my car to have the radio re-installed and when I picked it up, the radio worked properly. This didn't even last a month and the Apple Play feature on the radio started going on and off (working when it wants to). I'm about ready to just return the whole system and go elsewhere to have another system installed correctly!!

    Count on buying this and then paying more when you show up. They'll charge you for shop supplies and additional wiring. The installer was good though.

    The Who did my installation is under qualified . let my job when I waiting went and take other people at some the customer have to tell him: go and finish that work. the customer came over and apologize to me. At the end he was unable to install my steering control. I have to take a different installer who install in second. He knew I may had a chance to review his performance. I received an email stated: my appointment has been cancel.

    Worst customer experience I've had in a very long time. Ordered a Pioneer head unit and all the recommended installation accessories, arrived to the store, waited for 2 hours, then the install tech said the best buy recommended harness won't work. So he instructs me to order a different harness from Crutchfield. I take a picture of the new harness from his monitor, order it and then come back next week. When I arrive next week, after an hour, I'm told they made a mistake and this is the wrong harness. They told me to order the WRONG ONE AGAIN. I decided to return everything and take my business elsewhere. Long story short. Question everything they tell you and make sure you have the right parts. These guys do not know what they are doing, so you cannot just trust what they tell you or you will end up very frustrated.
