    Had to go three times before they finally completed my installation. First, parts were delayed and I received no call or email. Second time, they told my it was the wrong appointment time even though I had an email confirming the appointment and then the parts were broken and I sat around waiting for two hours before they bothered to let me know it was broken. Finally the third time it was installed

    While the install was clean and within the time frame. I lost my USB port. Although it does come with one on a cable it's not as clean.

    Extra Parts could not be returned for a refund

    I purchased a Sony Apple Car Play receiver for my car on line. I also purchased all the recommended parts needed for installation. I scheduled an appointment for installation. The earliest available date for installation was about a month away. On the day scheduled for installation, I drove to Best Buy where all the purchased items were with the technician ready to install. It turned out some of the recommended parts were not needed. Here is the bad part. The parts could not be returned and a refund issued. Instead, I was given store credit for the unneeded parts requiring me to pay the credit card bill for the entire balance. Now I have store credit for over $75 which I don't have any reason to shop at.

    Receiver Install

    I was informed it would take two hours for install at time of purchase. Once I arrived to my appt. they informed me it would be 3.5-4 hrs and that I would have to pay more for the backup camera. I informed the tech that I already paid for install and he informed me the sales associates do not know how to sell installs and that I would have to pay extra labor. After four hours of waiting for install I was informed that the receiver didn’t work and that they would have to order another receiver, no sympathy only blame on Pioneer. Now I have to wait 3 weeks for them to fit me in, tech’s didn’t try or seem to care to try and make me a priority. Worst Best Buy experience I have ever had.

    cant get to work. prolly user error on my part but best buy wanted review before I could go back to get it fixed.

    Total tech support is a great bargain but the installation geeks makes it feel more like a personal experience than a professional experience.I feel like it’s something personal going on with the installers that I don’t know about. It feels like it’s always a problem when it comes to one of my vehicles. Maybe it’s a black hate blacks thing because I feel the heat coming from certain people. Am I the type that should be having total tech support? If not then who is? I don’t leave bad reviews, I only leave real life experiences. If I didn’t know any better, I would think that they don’t even want to install my systems. It’s always a problem or some type of issue. But I have gotten my money’s worth with the total tech support. I’d recommend this service to anyone. Just not all people are good, friendly, or cool.

    After the install the mic attached to the radio does not work. I can hear the caller but they are not able to hear me at all

    Careful which technician gets your job

    The technician, Roberto had my car in the shop for over two and a half days. He lost screws to my door panels and broke the factory retention clips. I searched various auto part stores to find replacements and eventually had to order from a Mazda dealer. The wires were poorly installed, the insulation slipped on one and the speaker wires were shorted to the metal in the door, when I rolled my windows down, the speakers were disconnected. The total lack of attention to detail is really hard to overlook. Also a customer should not have to request the extra parts that came with the item whether there were used in the install or not. All parts should be offered to the customer at the completion of the job. I’ve had Paul at this store do installs on my vehicles over the years and never once had even the slightest glitch.

    First and last time for geek squad install

    They were fast installing the stereo in my truck. Problem was they just went to the next vehicle and didn't guide me through operation. 3 weeks later i'm still trying to get things set up and working. If they had gone through the operation of the stereo I would of know some things were not working as advertised. It's a long drive to the nearest stores so I will probably have to spend money to have a professional look it over.

    The item is great however install was HORRIBLE!!!! The in-dash stereo was lopsided. When told the installer had a reply was “yeah, you have to come back on Sunday so I can finish and I’ll fix it then”. Then I was driving home and the center console got extremely hot. The installer did not plug back in the heater tubes that go to the rear seat so the heat had no where to go but the console. I will NEVER get ANYTHING installed here again! I tried to call 7 times, no answer. Customer service left emails with the store managers. No response. I came back Sunday and the installer told me, “ yeah, I forgot to hook up your vents to the back, sorry”. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!

    Horrible experience. Showed up early for my install to get all my parts, store rep said that they didn't have them even though they were prepaid and were supposed to be set rep made me go to a whole different location to pick up my product wasting another hour of my time. then when I went to get my install taken care of they said they canceled it because they sold my parts. Finally got the installation service team to install it but they damaged my truck and now our refusing to cover the cost of the damage they caused. On top of it the installation looks horrible, the double DIN is not seated properly and I can't get to some of the features of the double din. This has been a beyond horrible.

    Complete waste of money

    Took a double DIN radio we bought on Ebay to BestBuy to have it installed. Before the installer even tried to install it he made comments that showed his distain in doing the install, such as saying things like its a cheep Chinese radio, and probably will not work. Commented on the cleanliness of the car and other negative things. He promised the could do the install even though. So I made the ultimate mistake. After they had the car most of the day, and not calling us, I ended up calling them and was told the radio was not working. The car smelled of burned electronics so I can only assume they fried it by wiring it wrong. So after spending over $100.00 on the radio, over $100.00 for an adaptor he insisted we needed and over $200.00 for the install, we ended up leaving with the same audio system we had in the first place. Needless to say, I am not happy. Management refused to refund saying it was not their fault the radio didn't work. A brand new radio in an unopened box. I will never trust them for an install again.

    All Around Horrible Experience

    I bring my 2011 Silverado to Best Buy to get an in-dash double din Pioneer Audio receiver installed... The Best Buy installer said none of the components I brought would work, even though I did hours of research and am not dumb when it comes to car audio. They made me buy an extra $180 harness, different XM transfer deal, a different steering wheel control adapter at $100, guy said it was the only thing that would work. So I pick up my truck and start driving it home and he hooked up the XM through the tiny odometer read-out, and not the brand new receiver so I cannot use XM unless I use the steering wheel controls and it takes honestly/literally 5 min to get from station 1 to 60, not even half the channels. So I take all my components to another well-known competitor in Sioux Falls... ALL OF MY ORIGINAL COMPONENTS I BOUGHT WORKED!!! Either this guy is terrible at his job or flat out lied to me to get me to buy their stuff I did not need and couldn't return. They did the install for $100 like Best Buy did but did not screw me over $400, and waste my time. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO BEST BUY!!!

    Trash Straight Garbage

    If I wanted tool pry markings on my center console, I would have experimented with the installation myself. Car gets an audio error message every time I start the vehicle. They Installed and extra mic on the unit. So now when ppl call me, they hear a nasty echo. Was supposed to get XM radio tuner for free, but that wasn't install. I received no boxes, packaging, or manuals. Call the Henrietta Store? Oh no sorry, we're not accepting calls at this time even though we're open for business. Leave a message with the hotline? The store doesn't call back. Schedule a return then? Cool done! Wait... We have to reschedule your appointment 2 weeks out, our guy is out. Okay, understandable. 2 weeks later... Hello we have to reschedule your appointment 2 weeks out, in Greece, NY. We don't have the resources to complete you service.

    Technician sells you a product for your vehicle and then after you buy all equipment and parts to install it tells you it doesn’t work and didn’t know why. Would not use him again. Buyer beware.
