Very poor Installation Experience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst customer experience I've had in a very long time. Ordered a Pioneer head unit and all the recommended installation accessories, arrived to the store, waited for 2 hours, then the install tech said the best buy recommended harness won't work. So he instructs me to order a different harness from Crutchfield. I take a picture of the new harness from his monitor, order it and then come back next week. When I arrive next week, after an hour, I'm told they made a mistake and this is the wrong harness. They told me to order the WRONG ONE AGAIN. I decided to return everything and take my business elsewhere. Long story short. Question everything they tell you and make sure you have the right parts. These guys do not know what they are doing, so you cannot just trust what they tell you or you will end up very frustrated.

Over wall it was great, but....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They cracked my dash, didn't even notice it tell later. IDK I have heard great things from geek squad, but maybe it was just this installer.

Decided not to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a package deal on Pioneer unit that included in-dash installation. Had a backup camera wanted to also install as well as an amp, called and the added costs quote made is so we just did the install ourselves, saved hundreds of dollars (in fairness, it was a big job.) The free install seemed more like a bait, would have preferred a deeper discount on the unit without the install... However, the Pioneer unit was great!

Installer did not replace a bunch of screws.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installation somewhat sloppy, would not bring my car back for anything else, better off doing it myself.

Good camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good in dash camera. Works well. Only complaint is that I have to select the camera in order for it to show on the screen.

Go to a professional, not a trainee w/no patience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was the worst install ever. Has turned me off completely to Best Buy Geek Squad. My old unit wasn't working properly for the hands free phone to work. So I bought a new stereo and asked for the old one. The tech cut the wiring harness off on the old unit so short you cant even use the old deck ever again. Then he couldn't get the steering wheel controls to work. The blue tooth has an echo. He didn't set up the back up camera so now I have 2 sets of images. I was stupid enough to buy a second stereo. Now I have 2 stereos the original that is useless because of the ruined wiring harness and the new unit that wont work the DVD, the Bluetooth and the backup camera. Not saying all stores are bad, but going to a store where the tech is in a hurry to get to the next install before its time to go home leads to a poor installation. Best Buy, try hiring qualified techs and if you are going to do a car audio area, have more than one tech so the pressure isn't on one person to have to get every install sale completed within a minimal window which ends up with a dissatisfied customer.

Posted .We appreciate that you took the initiative to share this with us. We know how important your vehicle is to you, so it's understandable that you would want everything done right on the first try. Our goal is to provide a stress-free install, so it's disappointing to see we dropped the ball on more than one occasion when you came to us for help. While we wish this had been handled properly the first time around, we're thankful that you shared this feedback with us so we can do better moving forward. Please work with store leadership where these installations took place so they can provide further assistance.

Didn't happen
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There were no geek squad installations happening because of Covid-19. No idea why this is on my account

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this item for our son as a Christmas gift. He went to use his heat in his truck a day after the install and realized it wasnt working. I called to ask for us to set a time to bring it back in to be checked due to it being possible something didnt get reconnected during install. I was sent to a 3rd party company to "file a claim". Tech clld to bring car back. Then told my hsbnd WE needed to buy a part but he would put it in. NOT AN OPTION! VERY DISSATISFIED! WILL NOT SHOP AT BEST BUY AGAIN!

More research by installer required
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not all required parts ordered delaying the installation by a week... when installation was I completed I was told by the installer that the speakers now pop when power is disconnected and there is no speaker fader front to rear and there was nothing they can do about it... there is also an electrical type noise heard through speakers.....now I have to take the car to another audio installer to get it installed correctly

Poor description of service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It says touchscreen radio install so I did my research and found a touchscreen radio compatible with my car. Best Buy didn't sell one compatible so I purchased it online as the website for BB says they install radios bought elsewhere. Bought the $99 install online, called to make appointment and I can't talk to anyone at the store. Person at call center says they can't do it and when I ask for my money back she says "if you already bought it why are you calling". I tell her to schedule appointment to which she responds "we can't do that". So I drive to a store where I talk to three different people only to be told they don't install on my car (a Rav4). Nowhere does it say this online. So all my research is for naught and I'm stuck with a $500 radio that I have to find someone to install.

Totally incompetent!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Made an appointment to replace a car stereo that had died. The stereo that I took to Geek Squad for installation I had bought elsewhere . When appointment date comes, my friend takes my daughter’s SUV to Geek Squad and is told that they are not able to install it because it will not fit the current double din kit it currently has. By the way they never even recommended him to buy a different kit. Well, this is TOTALLY FALSE!!! Makes me think that they wanted me to buy one of their stereos because they specifically recommended a couple of the ones they sell. I drove my daughter’s car to Jokers Audio in Acworth and without and appointment had stereo installed in 2 hours using the same kit the car originally had. If you can drive to Acworth I would definitely recommend them. Would not recommend Geek Squad to my worst enemy.

Josue is a hero, but system failed me otherwise
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If zero stars were an option, I would rate this experience at that level. I spent literally hours being shuffled from one rep to another trying to establish that the local store doesn’t offer installation. The sales agent gave me a bogus phone number, I was told by one rep that I could speak directly to the local store, but the number always put me back into the queue. I asked to be handed off to the appropriate rep, but was just put into the queue again. I was lied to repeatedly, and it wasn’t until Josue came into it that I got answers and service. Josue gets 5+ stars for getting me a reduced price and some additional assistance. He was great, and greatly appreciated.
