    Guy was nice but was there 5 hours

    My appointment was at 1:00 and I got there and the person before me was an hour late so instead of bumping them I had to wait and they did not get started until 3:30 and I left at 5:30. I could not leave because my parents were at work. The guy was super nice though and the installation was great but just make sure you either leave the car or plan or staying a while.

    I bought a new navigation for my car, and I have a Volvo. I bought this navigation system from Sweden, where the car was made. It came with instructions on how to install and I saw Best Buy installed them and went along and bought the service. I then went online to schedule my appointment and the website said I needed to call in because my car was too high tech. So I talk to someone regarding the matter and he flat out told me that there is nothing that can replace my stock radio system. He completely disregarded the fact that I bought it from Sweden and had instructions for it. And he was very rude and inconsiderate. So I asked about a refund and he tells me to go into the store. I go into the store and it's a hassle trying to get my refund because they're saying I didn't make a purchase within 3 months when they clearly already charged my card. I then went to an audio store and they put the new system in with no problem. I will never go to Best Buy againfor anything car related because they clearly don't know what they are talking about and don't even attempt to listen to what the customer has to say.

    He’s very good at installing car stereos but he forgot to give me all my accessories back that were not compatible with the stereo that I had installed and I had to go back and pick up my stuff at a later date and he didn’t even call me to tell me that my stuff was there I had to go there and get a manager to bring my stuff to me

    Horrible planning. Shows up late. Takes appointments then informs you to reschedule because they are over booked. Never again goin to this location.

    Didn’t even install my new car stereo

    The agent wasn’t very nice. I waited in the store for almost an hour and a half and she finally called saying that she couldn’t even take my dash apart to get the old stereo out of the car. She recommended that I find another place to install it or to return the stereo. I ended up going home upset and I decided to try to install the new stereo myself. I took it fully apart and removed the stereo in about 30 seconds and it took only removing ONE bolt. I fully replaced the stereo in less than an hour (less time than the agent took to realize that she couldn’t do it herself). It was a really easy job that I thought would be convenient to have someone else do for me while I ran some errands but apparently, it wasn’t. She made a few other little mistakes as well like having me buy a part that I already had, then having me return it after finding out that I already purchased it. I would not recommend service here at all.

    I was refused service because of poison ivy under my bandaid on 2 of my fingers & you can't get poison ivy from another person

    Mobile Radio Installation

    I am writing this to confirm return authorization of this product..i will be returning as soon as i purchase a replacement. I have been bac to Geek Squad 8 times and they have not corrected issue. My last appointment at the Capital Heights store made made the problem worse and they were not very customer friendly,.,the installation was in a 1984 Dodge RAM that gets 11 mile per gallon and it has now become cost Prohibitive...The Manager of the Annapolis store approved the return back in January which he noted in the computer...please confirm...Thank You.

    Technicians need to be more detailed

    I took my son’s laptop and I was told I had to take it to Apple. If they had checked it they would realize that the laptop was fine but the charger was defected. The similar thing happened with my iPad where I was told that they mouse could not be replaced but I took it somewhere else and they were able to fix it.

    Good technician but got interrupted too often

    The quality of the install was excellent but the locked room used for the install of my new Audio system and Backup camera was interrupted regularly by sales staff needing access to the room. There has to be a Electronic device (IE: keypad access outside) to avoid excess interruption of the install procedure by the very skilled technician. Hey, it's Best Buy! They should be able to do this better with technology, right?

    Installer did not want to run the camera wire

    When I purchased the stereo and scheduled the install with Best Buy I already had a rear camera and the installer told me that I needed a new wire and I could purchase it online and bring it in on the install date and he would replace it. I asked as he was checking me out are you sure this is all I need and everything will be working correctly, he indicated that everything will be good to go. When I showed up for the install it took two hours over the time I was quoted and when I showed up to pick up the vehicle the installer told me that had to pay $100.00 extra to run the camera wire and it would be another hour and a half to install. The manager didn't want to deal with me and had me speak directly with the installer who said there was nothing he could do but slightly discount the wire install. I purchase a lot of items from Best Buy and I expected a little loyalty appreciation but I got nothing. I brought my car in at noon and left at 7:30. Very disappointed with the bait and switch service that I received.

    Install took too long, tech lacked experience

    2 hour install took 4 hours because Justin was not able to close up my dash. At the 4 hour mark Jacob had to come finish the job because a line was forming. Install was done correctly except Justin closed an interior vent on my dash while completing the install. No air flow on interior droverside vent. Both Justin & manager Jacob insisted my statement that the vent had been blocked was incorrect. Justin made this statement over the phone. I went back to the store and Jacob insisted there was no interior vent to close and that he had worked on thousands of Tundras. I did not waste my time returning, if that is thier approach after payment then their work is no longer trustworthy. Had vent fixed at Toyota.

    Great product, Bad installation job

    I was excited to get the radio installed in my car and was assured it would be quick, which it was, but the job seemed rushed. The wire that attaches to any phone was running through my glove department so when I closed the glove department door, the wire will get squished. Eventually, the wire would just stop working, so to avoid this I went back a few days later to get that fixed and he assured me that the wire would be fine but I assumed he just did not want to do the work. Eventually after expressing more concern about the wire, he finally agreed to relocate the wire, WHICH WAS ABOUT 3 INCHES AWAY FROM THE GLOVE DEPARTMENT. Why couldn't he just do that in the first place? Anyway, When getting an installation, avoid the valley stream store.

    If I could give 0 stars I would. I had an appt at 11 and when I pulled up to the back, nobody was there. Waited for 10 mins before I went back in the store and once again I was told to go to the back. Went to the back again and the guy opened the garage door then closed it after he saw me. He opens it again 10 mins later and once I told him I had an appointment at 11, he said I’d have to reschedule. Reschedule? I was there there since 11:03, why am I rescheduling because a Geek squad employee doesn’t want to do their job? I was very disappointed and have been skeptical about getting another radio installed in case this happens again. Ridiculous.
