    Stereo install for Jeep Wrangler

    Set up and when I went to pickup stereo, I was told there installer that was set up no longer worked there. Could not be rescheduled due to I was moving. They set up an appointment at the new location, but it was cancelled until further notice. Still waiting to here the stereo installed.

    I had a kenwood stereo installed. The tech was supposed to install a steering wheel module but when I picked up the car I was told the module was not compatible with my stereo. I rescheduled an appointment at a different beat buy and they completed the job. The stereo was installed without steering controls.

    I have been a loyal customer to Best Buy for many years, and I must say they treated me like garbage. The installer Chirs stated that "I should be happy that he is helping do the install" on multiple occasions because the salesman sold the wrong parts. And the Asst. Manager Andrew was rude and handled the entire thing as if as a customer what they did didn't matter. The install was never completed after multiple hours and the truck was given back to me without them placing the wires back in place or re-assembling the vehicle as I dropped it off.

    Geed Squad failed installation on my Saab

    After purchacing the advanced in-dash installation as a bundle with my new radio I contacted store for scheduling. Following Geed Squad reprecentative suggestion I upgraded to the more expensive Total Tech Support, and purchased required assembly parts. First available assembly time was three weeks later. However the car technician gave up on the installation after two days and referred to another Best Buy store. Second try was even quicker as reprecentative said upfront they will not do installation for this car brand. So after five weeks, four trips to Best Buy, $200 Total Tech service + $150 best buy parts and $100 facia kit from 3rd party seller I was left with new Sony radio unused in my trunk. Kudos to Best Buy all my purchaces were refunded to full and service was friendly (albeit lot of waiting times). After some research I ordered correct parts from on-line and completed installation myself.

    My appointment was cancelled without informing me. No communication. Called local store to get someone that couldn’t communicate in English. Spent 45 minutes for them to reschedule and tell me they couldn’t reach the store but left them a voicemail to call me. Went to store to confirm only to be told customer service was also the checkout and return line. Waited 30 minutes in line on crutches before leaving.

    Didn't hook the parking brake wire up, and the front left speaker goes out from time to time. When they originally hooked up, didn't ask me where I wanted the USB cable to come out, so they left it hanging under the glove box.

    the agent mount the device but he couldn't make steering wheel work i had too spent extra $200 else where not too happy because i purchase a 2 years plan but basically not worthy so i personally don't think the 2 year plan for $200

    The guys installed it but barely knew how to set up the product. They thought the steering controls would be limited to just the radio function of the head unit. Had to reprogram it myself.

    Purchased a SONY in-dash receiver for a third card at Best Buy, largely because it included free installation of the unit. Well, the old adage you get what you pay for holds true. First off, the unit promised was not the unit in the box and was defective. Second when BB installed the right unit, they damaged the trim pieces in my Toyota. It the end it worked, but I can not recommend that you buy or have car audio installed at Best Buy (unless you enjoy doing things the hard way). Had to get the main office involved to get it right.

    Install was cancelled without informing me. Rescheduled for a busy Saturday and the technician kept being called into the store to help customers. Two hour install took almost six hours while I waited. Technician installed a radio that was three times the price of the one I was advised by Geek squad to purchase. Radio does not work. So disappointed. Next week I try again…. Frustrating experience!

    Installer Refused to do the work/ Not Refunded

    My appointment for the install was made 9 days in advance. The installer called me an hour and a half before the appointment time to tell me he doesn't have all the parts to do the work and will need to order them. I go in to speak to him in person and he wants me to purchase an additional $550 worth of parts so that he can install it. I told him those parts weren't necessary, as I was familiar with the install process. He told me the best buy computer told him those parts are necessary and refused to do the install without them. When I spoke to a manager about refunding me for the install, since I never received the service, they told me that the install was part of a bundle deal that I got on black Friday and they couldn't refund me for just the install. They refused to credit me the value of the install and now I am forced to go somewhere else and pay more money out of pocket.

    To be honest I would rate it lower if it let me. First of all it would not let me select my instal location prior to paying. Which would have saved me the folllowing 3 hours of trying to get my money back after finding out that my local Best Buy no lo get did instals. Worst customer service ever. Just passed back and forth for hours of time wasted trying to get my money back.

    Install gone wrong

    After having a deck installed on my Mini Cooper I was impressed with Russell so ordered a replacement for me X5. I waited 6.5 hours on the install paid an additional $150 in part with $100 of it in labor (which was supposed to be included) and my steering wheel controls now don't work. They did when I brought it in with the factory stereo. I've been calling the store since I left and am currently on hold waiting for my call to be answered (35 minutes!) This is ridiculous. We were bringing in the M3 and Boxter for stereos now that's never happening. Fix my install.

    When I bought a stereo for my vehicle I scheduled to have it installed. I was scheduled almost a month out from the point of when I bought the stereo. When I arrived to my appointment it was no longer in the system they gave my appointment to someone else. When asked about another appointment the earliest time available was over a month away. Very disappointed after spending a couple of hundred dollars between stereo and everything else needed to install it! Will never rely on Best Buy for that kind of stuff again!!
