Mixed thoughts

But they did not call me or explain how to use my radio after it was installed. I was lucky to be in the area and notice my vehicle was outside before they closed

ZERO Stars

Reno & Sparks stores are booked up for weeks & was told if i waited for the carson store i could get in week of 3/25 when the kid got his cert. Was told today i have to wait another week to find out if the kid even passed before they can schedule me. Waste of time & money! So how long will it be before i actually get the stereo i paid for installed as promised? 2 months or longer now?? Might as well return the stereo & buy elsewhere. Paying customers obviously aren't important here. & This is my second review. Funny- 1st one was deleted.

Use common sense!

If I purchase needed installation parts from Best Buy I should not have to wait on the store to open then stand in line and pick the parts up and then walk back outside to installation to take them the parts. My appointment was at 1000 not 1020! This is common sense!! The actual installation was fine and done as should have been. No competition about that part!

Horrible Install

He brought it home and I was shocked at the quality of the job they did. They get 1 star for installing the radio in the dash correctly. However the mic wire was ran through the steering column and mounted to the steering wheel, it looks horrible. Then the USB dongle was left hanging out onto the floor on the passenger side. Didn't even run it to the glove box or anything else. I had to pay more money to have someone fix it. Horrible experience, never letting Geek Squad touch any of my cars again. If you are reading this, go to a professional and get it done right the first time.

Busy install shop

The shop manager made everything right...but the install was a week later than I needed as it was a gift. I do have to take it back in to the shop as a few things are not quite right.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was told I had an appointment on Oct 8th at 10am to have my radio installed went in to best buy on the 7th to pick up the radio and last pieces I needed for the install and found out my appointment was never scheduled. Very disappointed with the service I received they did not even try to get my in within a quick time frame said I would have to wait 2 months before next opening for an install. This had made me decide to shop elsewhere from now on and I will not be back to best buy nor will I recommend your store or services to anyone else.

The clerk said that I didn't need the mounting kit. Tried to make an appt. for installation in the Tracy store. I was on hold for more than 20 minutes to be told that I couldn't make an appt. without the mounting kit. Went back and bought the mounting kit. Tried calling Tracy store again 3 times without being connected. Decided to cancel the order, but the stereo was already in transit, so I had to wait for it to be delivered in order to take it back. Terrible service!

Not happy with the service installation

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came back to the store to report the problem with the audio controls in my vehicle steering wheel because it is not working at all. The store installed a new car stereo in my vehicle and was told to return to the store if there are any problems and they will fix at zero costs. When I came back the store agent told me to buy additional service and device to install in my car which is not acceptable. I am upset that you have to pay more in order to get the problem resolve. I won’t recommend Best Buy anymore for any car device installation as they will always upsell you.

Nice upgrade from factory radio

Best Buy Tech provider a USB cable to charge phone from glove box. Not as convenient and unsure this what product or Tech related.

3 Hours - Incomplete Install

After 3 hours of installation he told me I’d have to come back for him to get the steering wheel controls working and he said that he couldn’t retain the factory USB and left the usb wire hanging out underneath the dashboard. I took the vehicle to another Best Buy and they had no problem retaining the factory usb or steering wheel controls. I feel like this installation was a huge waste of time. If you need a car stereo installed go to Folsom or Elk Grove Best Buy. They have much better service and know what they are doing.

Beware of appointments canceled at the last minute

After waiting 15 minutes, I was told that the technician had just called in sick. I am rescheduled for A MONTH FROM NOW!!!! And I was told by the person who met me that I would be comped something from the original price for my wasted time and NOTHING HAPPENED!!

Kept getting rescheduled like 4 times because their excuse was that the person who was supposed to install was” not able to be there”. After a month of waiting the day finally comes for installation. There was a bit of traffic so i ended up 11 minutes late. The installer went ahead and cancelled my appt the first minute he got. There was no call if i was on my way or anything! Piece of dukie service! This was at torrance ca location.

Workmanship issues

He had to seek assistance with another technician to complete the job. Took a total of two different days to finish. Not to mention he was late starting on my vehicle both times.

Didn't have a crack 1 to begin. Red flag. Said I had some things that I did not have. 20 years experience my butt. Would not recommend geek squad to anyone. Said they called, person put down wrong number. Why didn't they try email? Waste of time,should bill you for my time I spent in person, talking on phone (Justin store manager what a joke) Greg was alot better, and stopping in to return my items.
