Horrible experience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was told I had an appointment on Oct 8th at 10am to have my radio installed went in to best buy on the 7th to pick up the radio and last pieces I needed for the install and found out my appointment was never scheduled. Very disappointed with the service I received they did not even try to get my in within a quick time frame said I would have to wait 2 months before next opening for an install. This had made me decide to shop elsewhere from now on and I will not be back to best buy nor will I recommend your store or services to anyone else.

Mixed thoughts

But they did not call me or explain how to use my radio after it was installed. I was lucky to be in the area and notice my vehicle was outside before they closed

The clerk said that I didn't need the mounting kit. Tried to make an appt. for installation in the Tracy store. I was on hold for more than 20 minutes to be told that I couldn't make an appt. without the mounting kit. Went back and bought the mounting kit. Tried calling Tracy store again 3 times without being connected. Decided to cancel the order, but the stereo was already in transit, so I had to wait for it to be delivered in order to take it back. Terrible service!

Waist of money

I normally do my own work but this time I didn’t want to deal with it. So I went to Best Buy to have my radio installed. The tech didn’t hook up my steering wheel controls or my rear view camera which both worked prior to my installation so now I have to find another place to hook this stuff up.

Not happy with the service installation

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came back to the store to report the problem with the audio controls in my vehicle steering wheel because it is not working at all. The store installed a new car stereo in my vehicle and was told to return to the store if there are any problems and they will fix at zero costs. When I came back the store agent told me to buy additional service and device to install in my car which is not acceptable. I am upset that you have to pay more in order to get the problem resolve. I won’t recommend Best Buy anymore for any car device installation as they will always upsell you.

Nice upgrade from factory radio

Best Buy Tech provider a USB cable to charge phone from glove box. Not as convenient and unsure this what product or Tech related.

3 Hours - Incomplete Install

After 3 hours of installation he told me I’d have to come back for him to get the steering wheel controls working and he said that he couldn’t retain the factory USB and left the usb wire hanging out underneath the dashboard. I took the vehicle to another Best Buy and they had no problem retaining the factory usb or steering wheel controls. I feel like this installation was a huge waste of time. If you need a car stereo installed go to Folsom or Elk Grove Best Buy. They have much better service and know what they are doing.

Dont fall for free install

They advertise free installation to get you in the store.. then they schedule installation bout 2 1/2 to 3 months out.. most are gonna buy the item at a higher price since their already at there and then go somewhere else for installation, not wanting to wait that long.. with installation, i nearly payed for the item twice.. absolute scam

Workmanship issues

He had to seek assistance with another technician to complete the job. Took a total of two different days to finish. Not to mention he was late starting on my vehicle both times.

HORRIABLE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Returned everything after wasting two days leave from work and 5.5 hours wasted time at the store. Scheduled appointment and arrived early to drop of vehicle and hardware, checked back 2.5 hours later, the installer Sean didn't start and told me he wouldn't finish that day and asked that I return the following day. Frustrated but returned next day, waited 3 hours before checking on status only to learn the installer hadn't started and had only be on the job 4 days and didn't even complete his training, was told to do the best he could and gave me sob story about being new. He wasn't confident he could do the job and supervisor wasn't available. Complained to Store Manager Mark who only thanked me for "feedback". Lost complete faith in Best Buy, someone should be fired over this incident!!!

Poor customer service

It took coming to my local store 3x to finally get someone to schedule my install. The 2 previous times I would stand back by auto, they would call for someone to help me and then no one would show up.

Didn't have a crack 1 to begin. Red flag. Said I had some things that I did not have. 20 years experience my butt. Would not recommend geek squad to anyone. Said they called, person put down wrong number. Why didn't they try email? Waste of time,should bill you for my time I spent in person, talking on phone (Justin store manager what a joke) Greg was alot better, and stopping in to return my items.

Attitude before service.

The install tech was acting like I was trying to move in to live with him or something. When purchasing this service it should define exactly what they will install. Instead getting attitude from the installer from the Rochester store.

Geek squad installed my sons stereo in his car

Why not put it outside on the fender. Or maybe in the trunk. Now have to drive with glove box opened. Why couldn’t they hook it up to the exiting spot that the usb port is now. Kinda lame. I’m sure that’s how everyone’s car is now. Driving around with the glove box opened
