Poor Service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.They failed to order the stereo, told me I would need to order it even though it was already paid for. Then said I would have to pay extra for the installation that was, again, already paid for! The last associate I spoke with was not very friendly either. If I could give it negative stars, I would! Will never return to Best Buy.

Terrible Service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered my new stereo unit, speakers, amp and sub woofer in December 2022. Could not get an appointment until early March. It was installed and I have had nothing but trouble since. The speakers would go in and out from one side of the car to the other. Took it back. They had it for 4 days and said it was fixed. It was not. Took it back again. They replaced some wires and said it was fixed. It was not. Took it back again because now there was a whistling and static from the front speakers. Took it back again. They said I needed a new amp. They ordered it and I went back AGAIN when it came in. They installed the new amp and said my old one was overheating . This was last week. I got my Jeep back and it sounds awful. It sounded better before they supposedly fixed it. I do not have a difficult vehicle. I have a Jeep wrangler . This should have been a simple install . I have email the manager but have not heard back. I have ordered a new amp and am having someone else install it this time. I have lost all faith in the installers at Best Buy. I went to them because my son had his installed at Best Buy ( not same one ) and has been happy with the install. I would definitely not recommend having an install at Best Buy. I only gave one star because I had to or they would have received no stars.

Scheduling could be a lot better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I made an appointment on July 21st for my head unit to be installed. My head unit was purchased elsewhere without the extra installation hardware. However, when I placed my appointment I received an estimate on parts. Fast foreword to August 1st, I receive a call 2 hours before my appointment asking if I have the dash kit for the install because they do not carry this part in-store unlike the others that I needed. Why was I not notified of this prior to coming in? They had almost two weeks to notify me. If I would have known. I would have ordered this in advance. The next earliest appointment is Aug 15. This is an inconvenience as I have to take time off from work again for something that could have been avoided.

Bad Installation Technician
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Installation Technician at the Maryland Parkway location needs help or a job performance review. I purchased all my stereo equipment from the sales person on September 11. This was a gift for my son's birthday on September 24th. My scheduled appointment was for the 23rd of September. The Installation Technician came out walked around my son's 2008BMW 328I And said he needed more time. The sales person who set the appointment needs more training. Even though the Installation Technician had 12 days to review the paperwork. He advised he only looks at paperwork the day of service. So he couldn't do the installation. And that I needed to purchase wiring. So I did. I made a new installation date for October 9th. I was called by installing technician to come early. So my son and I did. We walked around for almost 2 hours. And was called by the installation technician advising me he couldn't install the stereo and that it was to big. So he advised he could do wiring and I could pay the difference for a new stereo. I said ok. He advised will need about 2 hours to finish wiring. My son and I came home and waited. I was called by installing technician advising he could not wire nor could he install the new stereo. And I should come and get a refund. So I did. Do to this Installation Technician at Best Buy I will never do business again.

worst service ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.had the best buy in Blaine Mn install a touchscreen stereo in my vehicle. after the install my factory sub didn't work. went back the next day to have the tech look at it and he then told me that there was a compatibility issue and that it wouldn't work with this stereo, and now the the manager i spoke with (bridget) says that they will remove the stereo and re install my factory stereo but will not give me a refund. this is the second nightmare encounter that i have had with the same location. i will never shop or have anything installed there again. definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone

Double din radio install scam!!!!

The day before my installation was called and told they no longer would honor the installation. Then was told i had to come into the store to receive a refund. Went to the store and purchased a radio from the store and was told that installation was covered and my original payment would be refunded. After pulling vehicle into installation bay installers started and then i was informed it was going to cost several hundred more to complete the install. Representative stated it was "his bad." Will never go with Best Buy for anything again. Completely disappointed would rate zero if it was an option.

Horrible car audio service

It says in the installment that if they need more hardware to connect it all they will look into that prior to installment. They installed it and didn’t install the steering wheel controls or back up camera. I called and asked why they didn’t install everything correctly and they say it costs $50 extra for button control labor and $50 extra for back up camera installation plus parts. So they’re telling me $200 for installment?! They did not tell me this prior to installment and now I have to go back, drop my car off for 4 hours and pay for another Uber to get home. I asked if they can help with any of the charges due to the inconvenience of having to come back and they never looked into extra parts prior to installment. Manager says nothing they can do and doesn’t care. He was done with the conversation and really rude saying “see you at your appointment” I should have just gone to a mechanic who knows what they’re doing I have no idea why I brought it to geek squad. I have never been so disappointed in customer service. I’m a long time Best Buy customer and pretty done with the company now if they’re so unwilling to help. A mechanic would only charge $60 for all installment “labor”.
