    When I arrived for my appointment I was told there was a $40 charge for setup and data transfer. When I ordered online it said it was free. There were 4 best buy employees standing around doing nothing. A Samsung employee finally came over and gave me a sheet explaining how to transfer data at home. She was very helpful! I had to leave work early for this appointment and basically, it was just picking up my online order. I could have done that anytime.

    I got a new phone and got an appointment to help me set it up. I was told to go to mobile and then Samsung, all that was done to help me transfer data, then when it came to phone activation I was told to just install the SIM card to the new phone and that should be it. I went home, did that and lost service on both phones, I spent numerous hours calling the helpline from another phone but they kept insisting to go a store which I wanted to avoid because of pandemic. I got the appointment in the first place to avoid all this hassle. This was disappointing. I ended up returning the phone!

    Love my phone but the in store setup and support was HORRIBLE. I had an appointment for my setup but waited over an hour for help. The person who finally helped me couldn't have cared less. Didn't say hello, didn't ask what help I needed, just grabbed the Sim card, stuck it in the phone, handed it to me and said"there it's working! " I wanted help with moving info, contacts, photos etc.from my old phone. He grabbed it back, moved a few photos gave it back and got up and left. 2 hours of waiting and I couldn't even make a call!! Thank God for Verizon, 15 min of friendly help and I had a great functioning phone!!

    My phone is still not activated .. a day later

    I purchased through the Best Buy App. Selected same day pick up and in store mobile set up. A female employee serviced my phone when she handed it to me she said it’s active and I’m good to go. Got in my car tried to make a phone, there’s no service. I took it back to the mobile department about 2 or 3 employees were all trying to figure out how to fix the issue and get my phone activated. They all looked so clueless as to what they were doing. I had to ask them to just give me the phone and I will deal with it on my own. If I would’ve known this would happen then I would’ve just bought directly from Verizon Wireless

    Disappointing Experience

    I had an appointment to pick up, activate and transfer data to my new phone. Unfortunately, no one was there to help me. What's the point of an appointment? I live about an hour away so when I was told to come back, I declined. This was a very disappointing experience and I expect better from Best Buy. BTW, the Tech in Geek Squad was very professional, but couldn't spend the necessary time with me because he had another appointment.

    Phone set up incorrect, could not receive calls

    Set up took well over an hour. Once complete, I could not receive phone calls to my number for a week. My number was not ported over from my service provider properly. While this was mainly due to issues with the cell providers, the set up specialists at Best Buy said everything was good to go with my phone when I left. I expect better expertise from specialists, and issues porting mobile numbers from one carrier to another is an area of expertise that should not be lacking in a professional staff.

    Not a quick process. for some reason Best Buy employee did not use sim card that came with phone. Did not transfer everything i had on old phone. Took well over an hour.
