    Never got my credit for my old phone.

    They kept saying it would come from Verizon and I kept saying it should be a Best Buy gift card as it has in the past, you have my old phone not Verizon. It was a waste of time to keep repeating myself so I was out 200. + dollars. Oh and I did set up a appointment and was told I would have to wait until someone got back from lunch in 10 minutes After tracking someone down. 30 minutes later someone finally showed up. The Phone is great. Service not so much. Would recommend product to a friend. No Best Buy in LaJolla for setup

    I was in the store for 90 minutes. First, there was a problem scanning in my phone even though I purchased it online. 25 minutes.before the box could even be opened. Next, problems activating the phone. 30 minutes. Next, setting up the phone. After 20 minutes of unsuccess attempts, I left the store and set up the phone at home. Moral of the story: pick up the phone and leave the store. It's faster and easier to set up the phone without 'help. The in-store setup appt. was not useful.

    Set up was AWFUL I spent over 4 hours and my phone was not set up correctly - had to have my son re do everything!

    I arrived at my scheduled morning appointment time to find my phone order had not been delivered. I returned around 2:30 and the guy assisting me said both my new phone and my old phone battery life would not hold up to transfer my data. (No he did not offer to charge either via a wall charger, while transferring data.) He had NO suggestions. I finally brought both phones home and did it myself. My phone purchase is great, the in store setup was a joke.

    I sent my husband to pick up the phone I had purchased with a new line. When he arrived and they began setting things up, the store employee was having problems getting the phone to activate. He told my husband they have had problems with this when people go online and purchase a phone with a new line. The employee ended up refunding our money, but I'm still dealing with headaches and issues from this purchase. When I called BestBut customer service the other day, I kept getting transferred and gave up.

    When I finally got the phone, I headed to the mobile counter as directed and then I was told that they don't do mobile setups. However, if I wanted to pay $40 they could do it. At no point during checkout did it mention it was $40. It charged $.01 to make the appointment and led you to believe this was a free service and part of buying a phone through Best Buy.

    I did not get any in-store mobile set-up or support. Just was handed the phone in the box since due to security concerns no assistance was provided. Like transferring contacts. It would have been nice to know that you can link the S10+ to the replaced phone and automatically designate sync and the contact list zips to the newer phone. Really slick. The store personnel should be aware of this which would really serve to boost consumer faith in Best Buy.

    Waste of time. Get this service only if you know nothing about your phone. Otherwise, do it yourself at home and it will get done correctly.

    We had an appt for 2:00pm and didnt get done until almost 5:00pm. It was very long and drawn out process.

    Best Buy could not activate my IPhone 12 Pro Max

    In store activation and setup was a disaster which, in total, took more than 2 hours because Best Buy could not activate my phone - apparently due to communication problems between AT&T and Best Buy. Service technician Logan said this happens quite often. The problem was with Best Buy not having the correct information for activating the phone, according to Logan.

    This took forever. After more than an HOUR (!!!) of standing around watching them struggle, they realized they were trying to use the wrong kind of SIM card - they were trying to use the 5G version of the Pixel 4a, instead of the correct, non-5G version that I purchased from THEM (!!!). I can't imaging using them again for this.

    The last I knew bb charged for this so when I saw it said free I thought why not. When I got to the store they asked if I wanted my phone set up and stated there was a charge. I stated that the page said free . He said yeah that changed a while back. Not sure why it’s on the website then. I set my own phone up.

    There was NO in-store set up or support. I had ordered an iPhone online, but it took over 20 minutes for the staff to check us out. When I asked about the in-store set-up, I was told to take my new iPhone home and DO IT MYSELF. They had even charged for the in-store help, but there was no refund provided.

    This was a very poor experience and while we encountered some nice people they were poorly trained and we spent hours and two trips up the store because if it. When we tried to call ahead we got sent to a call center some place else. Long story short… ship to your house.

    It was quite the mess to try to pick up my phone. First I was sent to the wrong desk to pick up my phone twice and had to wait in line twice. Second your website says data transfer would be 30 minutes and the Geek Squad said it would be 2 hours. I left and set the phone up myself. Someone needs to get on the same page,,,

    Didn't do anything other than activate the phone

    The rep was not interested in helping do anything. She activated the phone by skipping all the setup procedures and I later had to set up my account and transfer all my data. This is what I signed up for and nobody wanted to do it. The store only had 3 customers in the entire building and there were workers standing around and yet I was an inconvience.

    There was no set up and support. I was told they discontinued this service. They offered to help log in to my google accounts. I called customer support while I was in the store. The person I spoke to was friendly and sympathetic but confirmed there was no set up and support for purchasing a new phone.
