When I heard that this movie was a remake of Moby Dick I wasn't too thrilled about checking it out but I decided to buy it because the price was right at Best Buy and it turned out that everyone really enjoyed it

I have no problem declaring this movie Howard's best effort since A Beautiful Mind. The story of the film was eloquently told and superbly acted by Chris Hemsley, Brendan Gleeson & Tom Holland. Grade: A

The movie has an interesting history and is well done but still lacks something in the overall script which keeps it from being a top tier presentation.

This movie was actually pretty darn good. The special effects are outstanding and the story is solid. I would definitely recommend checking it out!

i love the fact that Melville never thought he was a great writer, though Harthone thought different about Moby Dick. film was beautiful to look at.

I enjoyed this movie. Was filmed well and the acting was decent. Wasn't academy award caliber but it was fun to watch and had some cool action scenes.

We skipped going to watch this movie at the theater because of the movie reviews we read, and now we regret that. But we're happy that we finally got to watch it in 3D in the comfort of our home.

A great retake on a mobyesk theme, Melville would have taken more time for the back story but the public at the time wouldn't have wanted it

I really great spin on the classic story of Moby Dick. This is the actual story that inspired the author to read the novel. Well done and a great movie for anyone that enjoys this type of genre.

This movie was better than I expected. Visually fantastic, the story line is based from real events turned to the fictional story of Moby Dick. Glad I made this purchase, glad I have the special features.

I've had this one for a while, and finally got around to watching it. I liked it and thought it was a really good take on the Moby Dick story.

Great cinematography plus fine acting and excellent story-telling make this another fun film to own and watch and share with friends. Recommend!

I read reviews online before i purchased this movie and was skeptical going in. After watching it i did like parts of it but some i did not.

I purchased this film for the 3D format. I am unfamiliar with the film, but for the price and format it was worth the purchase.

Liked the movie, loved it in 3-D! Could have been a bit more on the story, and a bit less on effects, but liked it very much, 4 out of 5 stars!
