I'll start off by saying my wife would probably give this movie one more star, since literary classics are more her thing. That being said I thought the effects and the acting were good.

The heart of the sea is a great movie and is a timeless classic with Moby the whale and captain Ahab. I would definitely recommend for anyone to watch this movie.

beautifully filmed and great CGI vizualization of the whale but I found that the whole thing just plodded along with an unimagiinative script. Beautiful but ultimately boring

Movie is just average doesn't really keep your attention and seems to drag on. Surprising because there is great actors in the movie but for me it was just an average movie.

This movie had it high parts but it can get very slow in other parts of the movie. The CGI was really well done especially the makeup artist. Over all it was a ok movie.

Good movie ... but not great! A recounting of a New England whaling ship's sinking by a giant whale in 1820, an experience that later inspired the great novel Moby-Dick.
