found this movie to be disappointing would not rebuy

Average movie. Disappointed in Dolby Atmos effect!

Went to watch this movie last night as everything is re runs and the disk is scratched and would not play!! See you when you open to return it.

Movie was short and should have rented the movie rather than buy.

I was really looking forward to this movie as a fan of epic type movies. It was interesting to watch what they did to survive, something that would never had been depicted in the movies of old. The movie itself was very good. The 3D was not so good. I experienced a lot of 3D Cross-talk (double-vision areas) on my TV. While I realize this is an ongoing issue with 3D TVs, I thought it was a bit excessive with this movie. That's my only negative, but a big one if you are a 3D fan. I played this on my Oppo BDP-103D Darbee Edition Blu-Ray Player which is regarded as one of the best available.

I saw this movie with low expectations since I saw a lot of bad reviews but I got this for $15 dollars and Mad Max Fury Road 3D but guess which had the most 3D effects, This movie, it felt really like your in that storm in 3D. The 3D effects are better than Avatar which is weird to say my only gripe is the story which I had to bring my ipad to kill the slow time,

3D does this movie justice. Along with the sound effects and movie score, you can almost feel the intensity of that man on the ship against one of nature's wonder creatures of the deep. The story is a bit slow-paced, but if you can look past that, it's an enjoyable movie.

I had heard not very good things about this movie when it was released in theaters so I waited until it came out on DVD. I still wanted to give it a chance so I rented it and so was pleasantly surprised I decided to buy it. It is a bit slow moving so it's not for everyone but if you enjoy fantastic performances and epic storytelling, I'd recommend it!

I found this movie interesting and different. I had no expectations when I bought it as I had not read any reviews before making the purchase. I was just looking for a movie to watch and this movie was recorded in dolby atmos which I have and enjoy.

An engrossing movie to watch but, due to the nature of the subject, some scenes are hard to watch. Worth watching though. Good acting and interesting subject 'based on a true story...'

this is a highly underrated film. Excellent story and visuals on the 4k disc are some of the best to date. HDR performs well in most scenes where it matters.

A classic tale of man versus the sea. I thought this movie was a good interpretation of the tale of the man hunting the legendary white whale

THIS IS THE ACTUAL TRUE STORY OF THE WHALE FROM THE MELVILLE NOVEL "MOBY DICK". IT IS A LITERARY ADAPTATION FROM THE BOOK ABOUT THE REAL WHALE AND THE CREW WHO TRIED TO HARPOON IT TO DEATH. RON HOWARD DID AN AMAZING JOB OF RECREATING A WHALING SHIP AND ITS CREW. THE CAPITAIN IS PLAYED BY CHRIS HEMSWORTH. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN HIGH SEAS ADVENTURE STORIES.

This was a very good movie, especially entertaining in 3D. Ron Howard has yet again directed a very well made movie.

great story watched with the whole family no apt for children's I enjoyed because it is an original story and keeps you wondering all throughout the movie

I loved the book moby dick, and seeing this movie which is based on how the story of the book was written made me lije the book even more.
