If you enjoyed the story of Moby Dick you'll enjoy this movie. The acting was actually pretty good and the scenery was outstanding which made it a perfect candidate for 4K. At the price I bought it for it was too good to pass up. Just another UHD title that impressed.

Blu ray + DVD + Digital Copy This is an excellent movie for those interested in the dramas that chronicle survivors at sea. Almost immediately we are swept into an immersive experience with this movie.

Chris Hemsworth, Tom Holland and Cillian Murphy in a tale of survival with one of the grandest white whales to have ever been created?! Yes please! It didn't have a fantastic ending but it had a good story, a solid foundation, and beautiful effects, very entertaining movie!

Quite an engaging story of the " true story" behind the literary classic " Moby Dick ".by Herman Melville. I personally found it even more fascinating than the original " Moby Dick ". The movie feels quite realistic and true to that particular time period. Loved it !!!!!

True stories I love and "IN THE HEART OF THE SEA", which is the true story regarding MOBY DICK, and the best viewing is in 3D! Great price! The "Best"! At "the BEST"! Has great extras on the disc also.

I liked this movie. Told from the perspective of Herman Melville, I learned about the events that led to the story of Moby Dick. The story is a bit slow, but the action shots with the whale are great.

A great movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat during the action sequences. I don't recommend this as a family movie due to the the mature theme dealing with cannibalism at the end of the movie. But all in all an excellent movie - I've already watched it twice.

There are a handful of full screen 3D movies out that fill the whole screen with a 3D picture. (no black bars) This movie is a Drama survivalist movie that has full screen 3D that makes it feel like you are there. I really enjoyed this more than I thought I would.

My wife lived in New Bedford, MA, for a number of years, had heard about the story and was very interested in the movie. The movie has a good mix of action, drama and suspense. We watched the movie at the theater and decided to purchase it once it came out on disc.

This movie definitely gave a much fuller and more complete recounting of a true event that was only fictionalized from the original book, Moby Dick by Herman Melville. Well acted with stunning visual effects, this movie far surpassed the version with Gregory Peck.

Very well written and produced screenplay. The 3D effects were very well done. The story of the whale was enjoyable and had some good nail-biting scenes that kept you on the edge of your seat.

Movie was intense, exciting, and filled with special effects and CGI. It was an interesting angle to historical events, told from a different point of view. A lot of the scenes you felt you were right there in the thick of it! Adrenaline rush at times. Enjoyed it.

I enjoyed this movie immensely. It told, for the most part, a true story behind the writing of the classic novel Moby Dick. The cinematography was thrilling and the scenes at sea were so realistic. The acting was understated, but everyone handled their parts well.

Times were hard during this period, but the movie depicts how these strong men made it through deep peril. Good film experience coupled with good acting. Great scenery and sound as well.

A glimpse of the whaling industry with parallels to the present. Class struggles between two men, the decimation of aquatic species not seen before, all wrapped in tragic circumstances. An inspiration for a writer whose work was appreciated after his death.

Since I was a kid, I remember reading or watching a movie about the infamous legend of Moby Dick. This movie is definitely the best movie about the real life tale of MD. It's so well done, that I've seen it 4 times now. A definite must own for any movie buff!

Blind purchased the film and I personally enjoyed it, especially having read the book first. Most people expect it to be all about this whale attack, but it's more of a survival story.

Good movie, held my interest until the end. Well acted and thought the photography was well done, The scene with all the whales I thought was over done but the rest of the movie was good.

I had been wanting to watch this movie for a year now, and I stumbled upon it when I was browsing online. I was able to purchase it online for an incredible price and have it availbe for pick up that same day!! I totally would recommend watching it!
