Even after 20 years this is still what a blockbuster movie should be; exciting, fun with humor and great acting. Both the video and audio in this transfer are top notch, 4K HDR pops.

A movie that can be watched over and over. Character portrayal and the conflicts they face seem plausible. Visual effects are stunning especially the scenes involving spaceship fights and the invasion of earth.

After having the FOX 2 disc collectors edition DVD, I had to get the updated Blu-Ray version. Used the digital code on the Apple side, and it's nice to see all the features from the disc appear on iTunes

If you have a 4K TV and home theater system, then you must own this movie. The sound is awesome and the movie is thrilling!

Love this movie must haves for whoever has a 4K TV 4K Blu-ray player it looks fantastic don't forget to calibrate your TV

One of my favorites, and this movie went from a 10 to an 11 in 4K HDR. Very surprising for an older flick. Amazing video and sound quality really brings this film to another level. Highly recommended.

Theatrical and Extended Versions and both remastered! Awesome buy and loaded with features. Gave away the old Blu-ray and replaced it with this one.

I was a bit surprised how much more I enjoyed this movie than when I watched it in the theatre. Perhaps it was the excellent 4K HDR Video. Perhaps the extended version is more interesting than the theatrical version. Whatever the reason I truly enjoyed watching this film more than I expected.

This excellent sci-fi film becomes even better of Blu-ray. It becomes even more of an adventure now that a Blu-ray version has come out that contains both the theatrical and special edition versions.

This is a classic film! I hadn't watched it since I had it on VHS! But watching it on bluray w/a 4k tv was amazing! And to buy it for $5 @ Best Buy, using a $5 certificate...was the cherry on top!

Even though the 4K transfer is 5 years old now, it still looks amazing. Properly filmic, but without too much grain. Very nice!

I have always had a soft spot for this movie so buying it on 4K Blu-ray was an easy choice to make. For those who haven't seen it, it's a really good 90's aliens come for the earth movie.

This movie came out when i was 12, and 21 years later it is still one of the best movies ever. I have watched it nearly every 4th of July, and even other dates. It is just a fantastic movie!

I bought this on sale, and I have watch this movie so many time on cable. I wanted to give it as a gift. Its a very good movie and uplifting.

I bought this after watching the new Independence Day that came out in 2016. Even though this one is older, I actually liked this one more. Plus it's got Will Smith, so you know it's good.

The transfer to 4K is well done. The movie was an excellent summer blockbuster. If you don’t have it already, then this version is worth the money.

Will smith and Jeff Golbum pair up in one of the more memorable movies from the late 90’s. This action packed space film will have you on the edge of your seat until the credits roll. The limited edition artwork on the sleeve makes this a gorgeous addition to any collection!

This silly, but immensely enjoyable, film has never looked so good! It is a notable improvement over my previous, regular, bluray version. It is not as impressive looking a release as some newer films on UHD bluray, but if you want to see this film in it's best light, this disc is the way to see it! One discovery I've made is that 4K UHD blurays (at least all that I've purchased) have upgraded sound. Numerous bluray films I have had with 5.1 soundtracks are in 7.1 or Atmos on the 4K bluray versions. This was a benefit I wasn't expecting before I had a 4K bluray player! Even the few discs in which picture quality improvements are slight at best, have much better audio (which really shines on my system). If you want to see the best looking and sounding version of this movie available, look no farther!

Glad to have waited for it to come out in 4K and on sale too, couldn't pass that up. One of the greatest movies ever.
