I had this on DVD but when I bought the sequel I wanted both in my Blue-ray collection. I like it when they go back and clear up a DVD movie and upgrade it to Blu-ray quality.

Well, this was what I was hoping for when I purchased this Blu Ray movie. Turns out to be much better than the sequel which was just released. I'm glad that I purchased this film.

Really liked this movie when it came out but never bought it. I asked for it for Christmas and got it. After playing it on my 4k system and TV, it was a whole new movie.

Good ole classic. I haven’t watched it but it being ID4 in 4K at a very reasonable price wasn’t a no brained.

This movie never gets old and now that it is offered in amazing 4k UHD blu ray its brings a whole new life to the movie. Definitely recommend picking this one up.

What a classic! Pretty cool seeing the Fresh Prince in a movie like this. Great actor! I try to forget they made a second movie. It just doesn't come close to this movie.

Classic! Looks great in 4K. Glad the director's cut was included as many UHDs these days aren't including it.

The movie itself has been out a while and I love it. I would give the movie 4 stars, but the 3 star rating is for the 4k content (resolution, HDR effects, etc.). The 4k version of the movie really didn't add anything new, other than some new DTS:X sound. Sure, you have the HDR effects, but they are not effectively taken advantage of in this movie. Also, the movie appeared to be a blu ray transfer onto a 4k disc, with some refinements, and not a total re-master. I could clearly see extra video noise in some scenes (even at a distance) and was very disappointed. The movie itself is great - go for it. If you want to spend $29.99 on a 4k version of this movie, be warned that it is not a re-master and you may spend a lot of money for nothing if you are expecting a re-master.

I loved this movie when it first came out so when I noticed the 20th Ann. Edition at Best Buy I had to have it. The Blu-Ray looks great and the special features are fun to watch.

I've always enjoyed this movie, and even more so in 4K. Holds up well and the picture/sound quality are great

I used to watch this when I was younger at least 3 times a year and now that it has been remastered on blu-ray, well that is definitely a plus. It is just a bunch of 90's goodness.

I enjoyed the 1st movie in the series 20 years ago, and I liked the twist in the plot for this movie. The special effects are great. It is good to have a HD copy of this movie!

I still remember watching this film when it came out in the 90's. And you know what? It's still as good nowadays as it was back then. Timeless classic film.

Classic film with great action and the best movie President of the USA ever! Amazing to watch on 4K

This is a great release of this classic Sci-Fi film! A good amount of bonus material as well as a sharp looking video quality! Worth the upgrade from the older bluray release!

Independence Day 4k version is a must have. It is definitely an improvement both visually and audio wise over previous editions

This movie has aged surprisingly well, revisiting it was a real treat. Effects mostly hold up too.

I'm shocked that I didn't purchase Independence Day sooner. It was one of my favorites as a kid and is still a very entertaining movie. One of Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum's best movies.
