It's almost like watching 3D without watching 3D, super crisp clear pic!!

A classic movie and in the value bin. I would purchase every time.

This was a classic when I was younger. It’s still fun to watch.

I'm a total sucker for extended editions of movies. Some are far better than others but typically they're more enjoyable as it's the vision of the movie the director wanted. "Independence Day" is not a movie that left a lot to the imagination or questions unanswered but as a man who grew up watching this movie learning there's an edition with more packed into it automatically piqued my interest. For years the only way to watch this was, of course, DVD. A DVD that looked OK but definitely not the best way to honor a movie that took over America for an entire summer along with ushering in a new generation of special effects. Thankfully this Blu-ray has been released and looks totally stunning. And while the movie is dorky and hasn't exactly aged awesome it's still a great movie to enjoy over and over again. Downside is the digital copy, much like others, is only the theatrical version but that is a very small criticism.

I liked the movie, I like SciFi and I thought it was a good idea.

This was an exciting movie and was great watching in the theater, so I thought it would look great in 4k. I was wrong. They didn’t remaster this movie for uhd and it shows. Half of the scenes have a grainy picture, which is exasperated in 4k. Save your money and stick to the bluray version.

Have always been a big fan of this movie since being a kid!

I have the Panasonic UB820 bluray player and an LG Oled TV. ID4 has never looked so good! I was really impressed with how a film dating back to the mid 1990s looked this well. The 4k transfer is very well done. The audio as well was solid, making my subwoofer rumble a lot more then I expected. Sometimes these older films moving to 4k are not really worth it, but ID4 was a well done transfer!

My boys will like the story line and some of the actors.

I love this movie ever since it came out 20 years ago and the rerelease on BD over the years as well as the special edition DVD, only wish this 20th Anniversary edition was in 7.1 DTS HD MA as the packaging suggests, but the actual selection on the disc (once loaded) is DTS HD MA 5.1. Overall an awesome film and love the maquette toy of the spaceship attacker! Hopefully the 4K UHD with HDR will truly be DTS HD MA 7.1, 20th Century Fox should correct this on all their packaging (or do a recall for those who have purchased this product), because that is misleading and the level of QC on their part is terrible!

What can I say, it is SO much fun! A must for action fans!

ID4 is one of those movies you can't analyze too much, you just have to enjoy it for what it is. The Blue Ray release looks good, and the release includes some new extras. The only thing I didn't like about this release, and I don't know if it does it just on my TV, but all the old extras from the DVD show up in a little box in the top corner of the screen. Someone at Best Buy told me this is normal when something from DVD is put on Blue Ray, but that doesn't make any sense as I have other Blu Rays that have old DVD content and it doesn't look like that. But the movie itself looks and sound great

Another great movie been wanting to see this for a long time
