Great movie from my childhood and had to share it with my kiddos. Remastered in BluRay so had to pick it up since I think we only owned it somewhere on VHS...

I bought this when it was on sale. It’s so nice to have this on 4k

Greatly improved sound and picture. Very entertaining movie.

What can I say except it does what it is suppose to

this is one of those movies you just keep buying as it tends to be a) an incredible movie and b) a fantastic home theater show piece. 4K explodey goodness !

An old classic redone in 4k. Was an enjoyable movie to watch

I remember seeing this movie in theaters when I was in jr high school and now I get to own it as an adult but with much clearer picture! I’m so glad to own it.

Is movie on cover. Many dead aliens 10/10 everytime.

Takes you back but 4k does enhance the viewing for this movie.

It's fun, exciting and has some really good lines in it. I've watched it several times previously and wanted on 4K...and I'm glad I did. I highly recommend it.

We have watched this at least a dozen times in the last year and it never gets old. The cinematography is fantastic! Definitely a recommend to buy / watch

4k on a classic. Cant wait to watch on the oled!!!

Purchased this in hopes that the 4K would improve picture quality. Very slight color improvement with HDR, but the resolution was not improved upon.

I'm a big fan of Will Smith and not so much of the actor who played the President I like the movie very much US against THEM, how dare they thinking they'er going to wipe US out. They better ask somebody. Great audio, but no money wasted on picture.

Great old movie!! 4K picture made it even better.

One of the best alien invasion films of all time. The premise of “ strip mining” our planet’s natural resources is realistic given our own history. Within that context, the aliens “nothing personal, just business” attitude is refreshingly different from the inherently evil motivation often used in science fiction. The characterizations of the lead actors and actresses are just wonderful. Particularly those and the interactions between the two principals, Will SMith and Jeff Goldblum. The supporting roles are just as well done. And Industrial Light and Magic’s special effects are very, very good. However and equally important, the script skillfully using very recognizable tropes of “liberty or death” and “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” add very powerfully to the emotional impact. The multiple love stories woven into the context don’t hurt anything either. Not to mention the material added into this extended edition. “Independence Day” earns its longevity; originally made in 1996.

Will Smith, explosions, armies and aliens. What more could someone ask for? Practical effects make it so, the movie still looks great in HD today.
