Cool special effects with a good story, solid cast.

Okay, it definitely wasn't like the 1st independence day movie, I was a little surprised it wasn't as good as it should have been, it was okay to watch.

Independence Day really doesn't need a review. Best Buy, however, does in this instance. This is the second movie I've bought from them where a silly, large white sticker is placed on the slip cover and is impossible to remove.

This video has the same basic theme as the classic HG Wells tale. In Independence Day the special effects are cool but the body count is massive. The one thing that really saves the movie is Wil Smith's performance.

I purchased this movie to see what a 4K UHD would be like on our newly upgraded system. It seems when the movie was reissued only the fight scenes and explosions were upgrade to 4K. The rest of the movie was in the standard 1080p. I guess that makes sense though, that the manufacture wants to capitalize on the 4K market but is limited to what they can upgrade, without having to reshoot the entire movie. My recommendation is to not buy previously released movies re-released in 4K UHD. I know I will only purchase the new released movies - not worth the added cost to see brighter reds and oranges in a explosion.

It only gets 3 stars just because of the movie otherwise 4k wise it’s not good it could’ve been way better

The new release of Independence Day is a pretty good release. You get some new artwork and you get some new special features that are nice. All in all not a bad new re-release for a movie that needed it.

Good package great price but for being Blu Ray I thought the quality would be better. Compared to other remastered products it fails. For the price it beats DVD. This is for the 20th anniversary edition

My husband and I enjoyed the movie, mostly due to the action. Not a great story and certainly doesn't live up to the original but a decent movie for a couple of hours worth of entertainment.

Independence Day is basically a remake of War of the Worlds. The special effects are decent but the body count is very high. The best part of the movie is Wil Smith's wisecracks.

As much as I love this movie, the 4K HDR version underwhelms. It isn't different enough to warrant the cost of buying it, if you already own a Blu-ray, or even DVD copy already.

Great Special Effects. The story line is a bit thin and so is the character development, but if you like the first it's worth seeing the second. For me I had to have for my collection.

I bought this for my dad since it was one of the movies he enjoyed watching when I was growing up. By today's standards, it's not the best film, but it is still a fun watch!

The product of the blu ray was totally fine, worked well, good transfer. The movie itself, that's another issue. I'll just say I'd give it two stars out of 5.

The film may seem like a throwback to throwbacks, but the silly guilty pleasure looks wonderful and is packed with special features. If you're a fan, this disc is essential.
