Read some of the comments on the 4K blu ray version of ID4 claiming how amazing the 4k quality is. From the second I popped it into my 4K blu ray player I knew I'd just been swindled. This barely even looks like DVD quality let alone BluRay or 4K BLURAY. Even the menu was shabby and grainy. Only one or two high contrast shots every 10 minutes or so is enough to give the illusion of high definition, but this is a complete disappointment. I've just spent $30 for something I've already had for almost a decade. Next time I won't be so trusting of BB customer reviews.

This movie has aged quite a bit since its release. While a huge blockbuster of its day, watching it now has a lot of camp value.

There are better movies to put on blu ray first then this joke of a movie. I think a few of the folks were involved in Godzilla, 10000 BC, Day After, and another stinkers of a movies. Independence Day made good ticket sales when it first came out due to overhype and cutting edge special effects at the time. The story is bad and Will Smith over acts as usual. Harry Connick Jr is TERRIBLE. I loved how the alien ship they hi jacked had the ergonomic chair and chair for a humans when the aliens had no rear ends and were squids with alien heads. I also loved the fact that it took 2 wks or less to learn to be an f-18 fighter pilot. I also loved the comical ending how the F-18 took a Tron 90 degree turn into the alien mothership. This movie is the worst of Hollywood in every way. Movie studios execs should be beaten up for throwing money at the same people producing terrible movies and charging overpriced tickets. Maybe there was no sequel to this because they fooled the public once already.

this full-screen dvd version alters the original theatrical aspect ratio of the movie from 2.35:1 to 1.33:1, giving a picture in which you lose almost 50% of the image on each side. If you need to own this piece of garbage movie, at least waste your money on the widescreen version instead.
