This original Independence Day movie is the gold standard of sci-fi movies. It stands the test of time, because of the originality of the script and actors.

Great actors , great plot to excellent special effects , made this movie really flow from start to finish!! I totally recommend for the whole family!

When we switched to 4K , this was one of the movies we had to have in 4K... it has become a traditional watch on the 4th of July. Great Sci-fi flick!

The film did fairly well when it premiered 20 years ago, the conversion to 4k has just improved the film viewing. While the storyline remains the same, the increased resolution, detail highlights and improved soundtrack just makes the film simply better.

No difference in quality dispite having a 4K TV. I thought buying a 4K movie and having a 4K Tv (that by the way I brought a bestbuy) would make all the difference . I was very disappointed with the quality of both products.

Nothing beats Will Smith hunting down aliens. I found the original to be much better than the recent follow up. Will Smith brings the right amount of action and comedy to keep you entertained from start to finish as he has in most of his earlier movies.

This is the only Independence Day I recognize. Insurgence is a reboot sequel of garbage proportions. Stick to the OG movie. Will Smith made this movie!

I love this movie and I picked it up in time for a 4th of July viewing after I couldn't find my DVD copy. While the Steelbook cover is cool, it is not something that I really needed or wanted.

As s fan of science fiction for many years I was eager to see it. I liked the mix of cliches. I Also liked the take on " individual vs. society" - not the typical approach.

4K made a huge difference and the atmos is ready excellent. It’s like you are there.

Excellent Blue ray transition, both versions and so much fun. Highly recommended for the family. This one is one of the great SiFI movies. Pop the corn and enjoy.

great to see that classic movies are finally starting to get the 4k upgrade
