Just an OK sequel. The original was better and even that was overhyped before release. This movie is about the same only more CGI, bigger monsters and more destruction.

I PURCHASED THIS MOVIE DURING THE BLACK FRIDAY EVENT, I COULDNT FIND THIS MOVIE ANYWHERE NEAR THE LOW PRICE I PAID FOR SUCH A GREAT MOVIE

I did want to see this movie but I didn't have a 4k UHD Blu-Ray player. I thought I bought one but I didn't so I returned it. Thank goodness Best Buy has a great return policy!

Purchased this movie on a black Friday sale that weekend and was able to pick it up for $7.99 .. Great deal on this Bluray as always from BestBuy.

This movie follows the first and has great special effects and action! The ending sets us up for a third movie in the future! Great entertainment!

A Good Sequel To The Original. Closed Some Gaps From The First Movie That We're Left Open. Missed Will Smith Not Playing His Character. Still Good Sci-Fi Fun.

It was fun recalling 20 year old memories and this one is definitely good one. waiting for future one where human kick alien on their own planet.

Great movie, almost as good, if not better than the first one. Good, exciting for the whole family. Worth the money. Definitely will watch again.

I missed the opportunity to see at the theater, but it was worth the wait. The graphics are awesome and this movie is a must see...over and over.

There are some good performances - Brent Spiner in particular - and the special effects are good, but the story is weak; I did not find the film particularly engaging overall.

An awesome follow up to the original classic movie! Always been a huge fan of the 1st movie and I was glad to see them do it justice in the 2nd!

Bought this in 4K to try out my recent 4K TV purchase since none of the major providers really have any 4K content. Looks fantastic on my new TV.

The first Independence Day movie was a breakthrough with a bit of corny dialogue but some state-of-the-art Special Effects. I saw it in the theater. This one, watched in my home theater, was sadly not the same. They took the original storyline, made the spaceships bigger, added even more corny dialogue, and called it done. 2 hours I'll never get back. Definitely should have rented it before buying it. Thankfully it was bought during Black Friday so I didn't pay full price. Hollywood has run out of new ideas!

Love the idea of bringing back the actors from the original movie to play their characters in the future. Like the original then see this flick.

Wasn't a bad movie. I enjoyed it and was glad to see much of the original cast was back for this sequel. Looking forward to seeing the next one.

saw the first one back in '96, waited in line for hours and even got sunburned, in Alaska!!!!!!!!!!!! so I had to get the sequel and it is GOOD!

It's really a shame,they could have done much better but?If you catch it on sale in 4k it still looks good and you can add it into your SciFi collection.

This is a good movie. It just didn't take me over the top. Could have been so much better. Maybe I expected too much as this is the first movie I watched with our new 4K TV.

This movie doesn't stand up to the original, you are waiting to hear a infamous speech and the only you left with is wanting. Enjoy for the spectacle not the story. Just ugh

I saw it therefore I bought it. The continuation from the original Independence Day film. A bit slow but not that bad of a story/plot.
